@tranformerssasuke743 True but the Mach 6 isn't the same class as the mach 5 meaning on a T-180 metallic/plastic track the Mach 5 would crash and burn if hit alot of times but a T-180 wheel is moddified to 'stick' to the track with out losing the control needed for the track.The Mach 5 was only made for the road but either way both are equally superior to each other.

The Mach 4 was Rex Racer's (pre-racer X)car. It looked similar to the 5, but was red with white lettering (Essentially, the opposite color scheme of the 5)

Mach 6.. better then the Mach 5? I had to double take to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me. The Mach 6 is a sham. The movie, and the new series, a sham and an embarrasment to speed racer. I grew up watchin speed racer, when i heard of a movie being produced, i was excited.. till I saw the trailer... I wanted to vomit and diarrhea at the same time.

Actually the film recieved mostly negative reviews. And it is a horrible adaptation of the original speed racer. They took the characters of speed racer, and filmed them on a hot wheels track. Thats what it looks like to me. They could have gone in a completely different direction with this film and it would have been great. I'm willing to bet at one point a t-rex head came up and bit the track in half... and then a barage of plastic boulders crushed them.

Well from the sources I respect he tended to get average to good reviews. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece but I think it is a must see for anyone that calls them self a fan. It certainly a very interesting excersise to view the closest I've seen to a live action anime.

Sure there is. It's Speed's T-180 from the movie. There's also a different Mach 6 in the new Speed Racer The Next Generation series. Not as good looking as the Mach 5 imho but it's one of those things that grows on you, like a zit.

i think this is the story. in the next generation movie, speed racer jr finds the mach 5 in a dump, and then fixes it and drives it, but it gets all smashed up. it cant be driven anymore, but speed isnt about to just forget about it. so he builds the mach 6, that uses the key his dad, who is the origanal speed racer, gave him before he was in the orphanage.
