  • What setup and fuzz are you using for the intro?

  • WHERE CAN I BUY THIS!?!??!!??!?!?!?!?!?!!?

  • 1:06 "We've got a gain knob, that's ... GAIN!" Are you sure? I'm not pretty confindent about that... lOl

  • honestly, i dont need anything further than my ehx big muff, a dwarfcraft synth mangler and a dwarfcraft hax to get every sound i want. maybe some delay but i could borrow that from my guitarist^^

  • that's cool, it kinda makes the bass sound like a regular rock guitar but without the high pitched, weeping sounds. nice video.

  • You ought to get one person playing and one person talking/tweaking knobs so the demo is more than 2 minutes of playing & less than 4 minutes of talking.

  • SUPURERRR COLLIGIDDERRGASGYUGEYRGEY!!

  • I have the version with the mids knob. I 've played a lot of pedals, and this one delivers the Muff sound for both guitar and bass!

  • this pedal sounds awful but what did you use on the opening theme?

  • it's a "big muff pi bass"

  • great thanks

  • he sounds kinda like owen wilson hahaha cool pedal tho i might get one

  • Muffish XD Good word there (Y)

  • seems to me that a class a tube amp would give the best bass distortion ,whats your take on it?

  • A right tube amp can do wonderful distortion/overdrive, but also presents a lot of limitations. They tend to weigh a lot, and often only sound their best at extreme volumes. The 'fuzz' sound is something that is probably best achieved with a pedal.

  • I am not a trained engineer or advanced hobby builder. ;)

  • hey how much can you tell me about Peter Steele From type O's tone? i cant ever find a sound like his or anything man ur help would be appriciated!

  • @melodiccreepingdeath About $13,000 worth of rack equipment and modified pedals with different modified cabinets, played through basses with custom pickup and wiring setups, since around 1990 until his death. So good luck finding his tone with a single pedal for $150.

  • @melodiccreepingdeath

If you want to reproduce his tone (without spending tens of thousands of dollars), I recommend a Peavey Kilobass (altered for high gain) and a generic 8x10 cab. For the bass you should look for an axe with good top end (I use a Tobias) to help with the distortion. The graphic EQ is VERY important if you want to get his crunchy tone." His sound is extremly hard to replicate because he used a Bass Sustainer, whihc are kind of hard to find.

  • I've got one of these... It's got some attitude! lots of low end crunch.

  • grygrx, you are the man. I appreciate all your videos!

  • i love big muff

  • Hairy muff is nice too.

  • looking back......it's amazing how good this pedal still sounds despite all the new additions/revisions.

  • It sounds an awful lot like a big muff.

  • Yeah, I believe it is some kind of derivative.

  • you are an insanely helpful youtuber, you have no idea. where do you find all of the pedals?? there seem to be millions! god i want them all. are you happy? now im addicted.

  • I'm a freak with an addition to fuzz. These things find me, it's fate. ;)

  • its an expensive addiction

  • i'm gonna second that last comment.I got mine a few months ago, it's ridiculously good. Seriously.

  • Got one for guitar, greatest pedal ever made.
