  • I think they were converted to RHD out here for the Australian market. You'd be right about the Avantis for sure dude. Studebakers are a great car my father has two, a 1923 Tourer and a 55 Champion modified from a six to a R4 304 V8 with a ford top loader 4 speed gear box. Its a very unique car because it has a rap around windscreen and special trims. We have never seen one the same and i have searched high and low to find another. If you are interested i can send you a pic if you like.

  • This is the first time I've seen right-hand drive Studebakers. Did they have a factory in Australia or did they build the RHD models in South Bend? How many RHD Avantis are there in the world? Not many, I'll bet!
