This is a great idea!!! We live in a culture where suing someone for anything is the norm. Sad but true... This invention will help protect coffee shops from unsavory people who want to spill hot coffee on themselves and then cry foul to make a quick buck. Advertising is another neat idea for this product also.
People will only know its hot if they know bright red is the hot colour. Plus they might forget, with it being a uniform red (when hot). Heat reactive text saying "HOT!" on a non reactive plastic would be much better.
i think its not necessary....theres a diff lid for pop/soda and its clear without a sipper. no need for starbucks to be any more expensive either. this is just someone tryin to make a buck. if people didnt drive with hot coffee between their legs no one would be suing either.
So what, touching the cup doesn't work anymore? Plus having the lid a uniform color for either hot or cold is silly, what if I don't know bright red from not-as-bright-red?
And about not having the lid on correctly...come on. It'll fall off or obviously not look straight. Have we regressed so much in society that we need signs to tell us when our lids are on correctly?
