The first time I heard this song, I was in the hospital after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and on top of it my boyfriend had broken up with me, like.. literally, while I was in the hospital. This was my song for that hospital trip. It's not exactly relevant, but the song got me through it all, and it holds true to be an incredibly powerful song. You can hear the pain in his voice, in the chorus. At any rate, thank you, Pat Monahan(:
