  • walking compressor

  • сТАЛКЕР МАЗАФАКА

  • lol

  • рюкзак больше чем он я все никак не пойму нафига вы такие баулы носите, он что там пол америки с собой взял, вояка, главное чтобы туалетная бумага была а то все не солдат.

  • What happens when the power source runs out of juice? Should I leave a multi-million dollar mech set anywhere? Awesome though, I'm looking forward to innovations on power source size.

  • what...what do they do?

  • wtf that big ass battery pack

  • @youngrelleus19 LMFAO!

  • stalker exo

  • I think this Exosceleton can be aslo used for medical use for Civilians

  • is the back pack part of the suit, or is it showing how much it can lift up

  • Kuákuákuákuákuákuákuákuá...cof,cof,cof..kkkrrhannn

  • keep moving forward n_n maybe in the future all this ideas will be of great help for the advance in science and medicine fields. That's where the greater minds walk in.

  • How is he not falling backwards? I would think that huge air compressor on your back would tend to pull you backwards because it would place your center of gravity behind you.

  • @Sasquatchy The exoskeleton joints at his hips are acting opposite to his direction of potential fall, thereby counteracting his poor mass distribution.

  • so basically the exoskeleton's power is currently used to transport the heavy engine that runs it. Terrific! :D

You'd think we would have come further by now, with all the imagination we have.

  • @AtrumMixer Entropy is a bitch.

  • is it just me or is that guy moving his upper body moving like a robot too ?

  • Japanese are beyond !

  • now I wanna see stelth commando unit with theese to succesfully complete an infiltration mission =D

  • its his fart that is propulsing him, not the suit.

  • jesus christ, whats with all the hate. people dont seem to understand that technology needs to start somewhere. without projects like these we will never attain practical applications.

  • Homer there army (shit berg platoon), or they just dress him up for effect?

  • the enemy will hear you coming from over a mile away.

lol so, the legs are JUST strong enuff to carry the generator, put on anymore weight and he topples over, very nice. well...its a move in the right direction, but your gonna have to sit down if you wanna talk to anyone

  • now we can build a gundam and blow shit up ... ftw

  • They already got superefficient fuel cells, cold fusion and so on, but can´t release it, because the order in this world, with oil, gas, carbon and nuclear power, would turn upside down.

  • Walking with that sound on enemy terretory LMAO XD

  • The birth of Lee Majors, the 6-million-dollar man. With today's economy he wouldn't be any higher than a 20,000-dollar-man.

  • The exoskeleton, so you can explore The Zone in relative safety.

  • fome la wuea...

  • They should also develope exoskeliton arms to go with it too. And they should add armor around it after it's complete. Make it look like the T-49d Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor.

  • Getting used to not getting tired is not good.

  • @MrMax5656 thats not the point sometimes the soldier is held back because of the human limits but with this we can carry a load to a destination then not be about to give out when you get there you take it off and run and fight.

  • man that fella looks good in a cap!

  • yup, the enemy would NEVER hear that huge RRRRREERRRRRRREEERRRRREEEEERRRRRRR

  • @telesniper2 i dont believe that is the exoskeleton making that sound

  • exo skeleton, helping out fatties on the army

  • ok, now get rid of the ginormous backpack with what I am guessing holds the motor, computer, etc etc etc...

  • fat guy stubling about with the help of some robotic legs. thats all i see (yes it IS impressive and i m not trying to be ignorant)

  • Take out the HUGE pack thingy and put a crap-load of armor = POWER ARMOR!!!!.....lol just a thought...

  • Fail. Lockheed Martin just raped you, UC Berkeley.

  • is a small step for mankind :)

  • lol I am sure with that he wont be able to do usual stuff like getting up the stairs.. far away from hard comando assigments like clibing mountains or buildings... :P

  • what happens if he fallsover?

  • @statnone

    Hahahaha, Then he is fucked!

  • Its just strong enough to carry around its own "compact" battery pack

    How practical

  • @the26thhour have a look at the version that is finished.

    watch?v=EdK2y3lphmE

Badmouthing a prototype because it isn't a finished product shows a severe lack of understanding.

  • @WhichDoctor1

lol - no having a light hearted joke & then being spoken to like ur a 3yr old, shows someone who needs to take a holiday.

ps - thanks for the link.

  • It's great for hunters. You can kill a moose and carry it home on your back.

  • no wonder we can't even win a war against farmers in the middle east

  • Wait, isn't this where Star Wars kid was filmed....?

Holy shit.......he's back with a vengance

  • great he can carry a big load but can also be heard from a bazilion meters. AHRRRRR AHRRRRRRRRRR AHRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

  • Don't let this shit fool you. Military my ass...They put camo on so that the military keeps funding this useless crap. Name the last piece of technology that made it from a university to one of our soldiers - go ahead I am waiting...EXACTLY!

Private industry and individuals have offered up more useful gear for our troops.

Not to mention universities are liberal breading grounds and so what interest would there be on their part with our military? Can you say 'funding'?

  • So... We should put a silencer on it

  • I'm guessing this is a weight lifting exercise. The avrg pack is 65-70 lbs and assuming thats what this is show, than the guy isn't even breaking a sweat, and that would come in handy on the battle field. I would think future applications could benefit the physically challenged as well.

  • what's the point of this exactly?

  • We built these hydraulic legs that make you strong enough to carry the generator needed to power them!

  • @222welder lol brilliant

  • @222welder hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @222welder Well, the first computer was also very heavy, and look where we are now... What they need is just more time. We'll hear about this in perhaps a few decades. I hope :)

  • if get invaded by aliens, with this shit even the obese become combat effective...go humans

  • Look! It's Super Exoskeleton Leaf Blower Man!

  • Isnt an exoskeleton suppoused to go trough the entire body?

  • Easy target anyone?

  • instead of having that for war why not make it to train rehab patients that loss their capability to walk and they can retrain their muscles to walk

  • lol there goes the element of suprize XD

  • Get out of here, Stalker!

  • lol, i'd love to flykick that huge mess off a cliff.

  • So what is he carrying? A battery for an exosceleton?

  • wow yeah you go to war with that thing on....i'll stick with my cotton tshirts

  • I had no idea that STALKER (an fps game for the pc) had based their exoskeleton armor off a real design. This is just too cool.

  • Exoskeletons: Now you can both look like a retard and sound like you are operating a leaf blower!

  • Not like you couldn't hear that 100 miles away.

  • i'd rather go to the gym...

  • @Jormungandr69

You would still hit a limit of being able to carry about 150 pounds of equipment. I would assume they are trying to push past that limit to actually make it useful.

  • if scientists were coming up with new ways of making the world a better place instead of war machines, i can assure you that you would be living a very different life right now.

  • It must be used for stealth missions.

  • @MrBthomp lol yeah, no one is going to hear that creeping up on you in the jungle

  • For $50 bucks, you can purchase a Donkey in Afghanistan and save yourself thousands of dollars. Or You can rent a Mexican in Los Angeles and go that route..

If you hire a mexican, you will still have the lawn mower noise that you are hearing in the video...

  • Robot Donkey is best than this one. This one crappest.

  • Exoskeleton from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Is no longer future, it is the present.

  • Very cool! It will be interesting to see how this kind of technology will advance in the future.

  • just did a report on exoskeletons, its amazing what they can do right now! granted its nothing like you see in sci-fi or video games but if you combine all the advancements of the HAL-5, this (BLEEX-1), and Sarcos's XOS, the possibilities are astounding!

  • This guy looks like a prat just wandering in circles. Dude you got bionic legs! kick somthing!

  • lol.. i would kick down everything thats in my way

  • @Crydata the scientists dont alow it its too fragile

    lol

  • @Crydata They're for carrying stuff. That backpack probably weighed a lot.

  • @Crydata he is thinking: OMG this is so epic, i use to be the fat soldier and now i am like terminator.

now the americans can be fat, even in the army

  • looks like my gardener who's blowing away the leaves......... the sound is just like that

  • hahahaha ... omg ... good one mate !!!!

  • rofl

  • the point is Exo skeleton is NOT going to be a HALO suit becouse its REALLY impossible. Stalker exo suit is the only suit that will fit the name EXOSKELETON.

  • agreed.

you see, the legs ARE possible (and ...yes they look like the exoskeleton legs in S.t.a.l.k.e.r.^^)

    but:

what is the main aspect of an exoskeleton?

    are you stronger or what?

  • (Berkeley Bionics Human Exoskeleton) <<< check out this vidion on youtube dude exo for militery is awesome! xD

  • yeah yeah^^

haha yesterday was the first day i ever recognized this is possible^^

    it was like:

    WTF WOW :D

    very cool.

you could build a human supersoldier tank or whatever with this

but it would be too expensive i think and:

i think it was designed for people in wheelchairs.

    ;)

  • omfg will you nerds plz stop saying Exo is going to look like HALO suit its soo pathetic that to make that exact suit is IMPOSEBLE. the only way to make a realtime Exo is From stalker suit, not a HALO imaginary in my head mr FANTASY suit. becouse to make one of these suits and to dress ALL soildiers is going to be a major money CRISES for the land.

  • Eventually Exoskeletons will be advanced enough that they will fit to the contours of the body better...but they will never look like the Master Chief....ever lol. Too unrealistic.

  • This soldier could do with more exercise.. he'll die of heart attack before exhaustion he he he

  • MAJOR FAIL !

  • still hate berekly cuz of those sacks of crap code pink retards

  • get rid of the bag and mech that thing out *geekout*, then we'll start talking about usability....assuming I was ever in a predicament that required a robo-suit and a lavished bank account in the millions.

  • to loud!

  • Reminds me a bit of an SCV

  • lol yea

  • Woohoo, Fallout Power Armor here we come. Too bad the Chinese can steal the research anytime now... >:( Just need a cermet composite armor on the outside and a helmet.

  • It's more like the exoskeleton from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

  • The backpack is full of weight.

This demonstration is showing that the soldier can carry over 70 pounds of equiptment without becoming fatiged.

  • stealthy =)

  • its a prototype? =/

  • The unmasking effect of a sound of working compressors kills idea on a root. And what is it in a backpack? Batteries :-)

  • q bueno

  • I'm sure they will find a way to refine it, perfect it and eventually I think it will be something like a HALO suit. These are the beginning models, think of the first airplane then think of what we have now. All in time

  • whould be great if they done Exoskeleton suit from S.T.A.L.K.E.R defently just like this suit.

  • That's exactly what I was thinking! \8-P

  • Man if i had the resources i could make a infinte power energy source that dosent require natural fuels and YES i know how to do and YES I know it will Work and YES I Know What i Need

  • lol?

  • Runescape magic?

  • man I had the smae dream... then I got the resources after long time... when I finished it... it actually was take/give energy like 3/2

    so its just clearly impossible.

perpetuum mobile will not be done in next 2000 years because of naturall loss of energy while working. thats just earth. if it was working in pure technical world not in practical it would have some chances but now it doesnt...

  • Yes, if only you had those dragon tears and unicorn farts? All energy production is costly and ultimately finite. Plus energy PRODUCTION isn't the problem its energy storage that's the issue for suits like this. What we need to do is re-invent the battery.

  • if we can make a car battery half its current size and store the same amount of energy then we can make it the normal size and we will know how to make it last 2 times as long

  • See thats the thing, we have maxxed out the energy-density of the lead acid battery (and did so quite some time ago). Nothing can store electrical energy with an energy density approaching petrol without costing an obscene amount or being horribly inefficient. I say we need to re-invent the battery because our current power storage methods just don't cut it.

  • the SARCOS suit is way better than this!

  • I agree (especially when it comes to the lack of arms)

but I think the UC Berkeley's should serve better for modernized light infantry, since the exoskeleton is more portable, lightweight and smaller too. This means snipers can carry 200 pounds and remain concealed.

  • Holy shit there goes the dream of making spartans!

  • man that will disturb aiming ur gun in the battlefield,u need to turn and there goes the fucking annoying sound

  • that's why they call it a prototype chief

  • exoskeleton - for fat lazy soldiers. :D

  • OR for bringing 200 pounds of ammunition while being able to run like you're not carrying any =)

How about carrying lots of M249 reloading ammunitions, or imagine a person carrying a mortar and shells, all by himself!

Exoskeletons are another step in modernization of warfare.

  • Ahh, this makes troops "Slow and Purposeful" ami rite?

  • that soldier was fat wtf?

  • Lol... Maybe because the suite does all the work!

  • not to worry brothers, nothing a headshot cant solve.

  • obviously it's not about stealth, it's about numbers, superior weaponry and superior firepower, Red coat style.

  • DAMN, that thing is loud, how would you sneak around on the battlefield wearing that?

  • If I'm not mistaken, they use small gasoline engines on a lot of current projects of this type for the prototype phase. They'll probably switch to a quieter power source later when they've proven the basic technology.

  • search for "Berkeley Bionics Human Exoskeleton" it is the next generation of the same factory, they made a lot of progress in 3 years

  • shut up shadow he help being german u racist dik

  • this is not something you would need on the battlefield, maybe in a warehouse.

  • NOT YET

  • It's make us carry more weight but we can't run as I know

  • Private butterscotch lol

  • fat nerd

  • LOL

  • Try to sneak up on the enemy with that on HAHAHAHA

  • Wow. That. Is so. Fucking. Gay.

Yay, I can put on 80 pounds of metal and electronics so I can walk around with an oversized backpack that I could carry If I wasnt a fucking weakling.

    Pointless.

    Wheres the laserguns?

    Wheres the jet boots?

Ok thats a little irrelevant, but still, atleast do something that advertises the damn suit better.

  • You've obviously not seen the Lockheed Martin promo of this device. Read more, then come back to bitch. Right now you're just a retard with an opinion.

  • i went to their website and saw it. it looks alright but kinda strange to see someome shooting at you with metal on there legs. makes them look handicap

  • i like the "Hal" better. this guy looks like he's getting tired

  • cause he is fat like hell yo.

  • speak proper english

  • haha

  • he reminds me of that guy "don't worry, i'm form the internet !"

  • great vid

  • i dont get it. you walked around in a box... yay? LMAO. Theres 2mins gone from my life i'll never get back.

  • that noise will scare the $hit out of bin ladin hiding in cave in Pakistan ha ha ha

  • lol Iron Man!!!

  • yeah percfect for tha battle.....noise 100% and that bigass bag behaind hes back will be just...unseen WTF! O_o

  • are you retarded? they don't field new technology unless it's near perfected. do you really think someone would actually use it in live combat in it's current state? Dont bash things you have no goddamn understanding of how much work is put into robotics. Its wayyy beyond that highschool algebra your barely passed.

  • you know whats the bigass bag for?

    I think you don't know...

It's simple to show us, how mutch the exoskeleton can carry for it's user

you can use it, to lift heavy ammunation boxes into transport vihicles f.e.

(if you find spelling errors, keep them and eat them for free)

  • still in construction, will pobly be made better lol

  • Bit useless isn't it...

  • On the battle field, he would be dead before he reach the bad guy, they will notice that humming noise.

  • It's only a prototype powered by a lawnmower engine....

  • LOL

Seems like berkeley is a step behind those guys at Gyberdine. They'll take over the world with HAL muahaha.

  • i bet the whole backpack is filled up with batteries and the compressor...

  • i dont think that's right. its probably only partially filled with mechanical stuff, because this looks like the goal of this project is mainly a heavy lifting aid for transporting heavy gear.

  • wow to loud!!!!

  • lmfao!.......... thats why hes fat-.-..........

  • hmm...i don't think the element of surprise would be possible...."hey akhmed, you here a humming noise?"

  • "Look out Bees"

  • LOL

  • The helll is that.......???

  • Yep, this will help fat american soldiers.

  • If you think american soldiers are fat, you obviously haven't seen the army rangers. or the SEALs.

  • yeah because they let people leave the training camp when theyre still fat and not very strong.

  • have you guys seen the japanese exosuit HAL5, it's way better than this..... this is just a big ass backpack suit and the wearer can only walk around with it, lol
