He had one get the drop on him in another outtake, you never seen a guy come unglued like he did. A couple of copperheads tried to board our boat, one at night and another in the day while fishing around some old boat docks. One got a rod tip over the head, and the other one at night got deep-sixed by a boat oar. The sound of the oar's impact resonated for miles around. Dad asked "was that worth it?" As far as I was concerned, yes it was. But we had to go elsewhere to catch fish tho.

You have to laugh at Bill, but I can totally feel him. I was fishing on the Big Muddy river at night once and we spot lighted the water the water and my boat was literally surrounded by cottonmouths sticking their heads up. I dropped my rod on the deck and literally almost flew behind the wheel, powered up the outboard and took off for the landing. Never have been back to that damn river after dark.
