How long has he been in that enclosure, I've read allot about PVC toxins and am assuming if well ventilated it will be safe. I don't want my iggs to be in an unhealthy environment. Any tips,thoughts on this?

Hey man, have you been feeding your iguana those pellets since he was small? The reason I ask is because I'm getting tired of preparing fresh greens and veggies everyday for my iggy and If those pellets will do the job then I'll just end up giving him pellets.

nice cage, great vid. A few questions.

First, where did you get the plastic mesh? I've called hardware stores and none seem to have any good enough.

Second, is it difficult to keep temperature up in that cage? I've read that it's not the easiest thing to do with a full mesh shell.

With taming, just keep trying. Approach your iggy slowly and at an equal height (not above him/her). Start with petting, and later picking up, or just let him/her climb up you. Food helps too, the first thing I did with Jones was hand feeding, so that helped a lot. I can make him slow dance with me now haha, that shows how calm he is now.

The cage, just make sure you don't put the heat lamps on plastic, and remember that most UV lights only have a range of effectiveness of a foot.

and be aware of your room size that you put the cage in. That is going to be a HUGE cage, my cage takes about 1/4 of my decent sized room, and it severally limits my furniture positions.

honestly, I got the plumbing from my dad for free because he works at a plumbing supply warehouse.

I would have to say wood would probably end up cheaper though, unless you could work out a way to use less fittings and still be structurally sound (making a rectangular prism instead of a corner cage would be cheaper wood or pvc).

The plastic mesh was the wallet breaker, about 12-20$ for a roll, used like 6 rolls!
