I'm a north carolina fan but if it was any other team besides duke I still would have cried. Because I doubt another mid-major college will have a sniff of a national championship like Butler did. The only time I've seen a mid-major college win a national championship was Frenso State in college baseball! And no one follows that. This was an unreal tournament. Seriously, in their 2 consecutive runs at they Final Four, i don't think they have trailed by more than 10 points in any game. Duke came in to that game thinking they would roll over Butler, and Butler gave them one hell of a run for their money. Butler was/is one hell of a basketball team. On that night, Duke was just better.

Since duke won, it was a great game with a decidedly unmovielike ending. If Butler wins, the nation goes crazy, "Hoosiers 2" never needs to get made because it already happened in real life, and this becomes one of the greatest college basketball games ever played. I have severely disliked Duke for a long time because they always get the calls they should not. Notice Singler not being called for a travel at 1:02. That's about as blatant as can be and it's not the first time that type of call has gone in their favor both in that game and others.

10 ACC championships in the last 13 yrs-Duke owns the ACC, UNC just rents it out from time to time. You have to go all the way back to 1979 to count up the last 10 ACC championships UNC won.
