@SuddenCatharsis It's hard, but advanced keyboard players are able to hear the note, and chords, and go from there. It's difficult, but the results are impressive.

I think that also some non advanced players manage ;) it's just the natural way to fo it for some people. And I suppose it's more fun, too! Just try with the right hand melody first... the chords are always "in tune" with the notes of the right hand (unless the song is meant to be "strange"...HIM songs are not, they are just beautiful). For example, here the right hand playes SI, MI, FA# and SOL#, and with the left you can do MI, SOL#, SI (all at the same time, as a chord). :)
