  • dude i can't get over your constant whistle talk

  • Hi, do the xperia x1i work with att 3g network? And what is the point of making an american version x1a if so? Thank you!

  • yep the x1i does work with it. the point of making an x1a is mainly due to the fact that due to some copyright nonsense if im not mistakened. That video recording that the x1i has. Also the x1i in some parts of the country that doesnt run on 1900 band for att u wont get 3g ... you will be stuck with edge.

Those are the only two reasons id say.

  • dude ran the test compared to my brothers iphone and got almost twice as much speed on the simple test. strange thing is that my x1i shows 'H' where his shows '3G'. can this be right? also, great vid mon

  • Yea H is correct, att upgraded their service to support HSDPA which is basically 2x 3g.

  • I cannot get my X1i to work. I keep getting the following messages...

The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings.

Warning - There is a problem connecting to the GPRS servicein your registered home network.

Could you please get me through this as in your video you are up and running on ATT in the US with the X1i version

  • did u pay the 700 something for the phone?

do you know if at&t has plans for it?

like the iphone 1st generation it was like 600 for some people but inside the contract it would be like perhaps 300. do you know anything about it?

  • Doubt if att would have plans for it, then again too early to tell.

  • great vid man.

Just one question, what AT&T plan are you running off of? In particular, is this just a basic unlimited data plan with AT&T?

  • unlimited 15 dollar plan

  • Hey man, nice job... just so you know its

hsDpa not PDA ... it stands for

    High speed data packet assist!!

    cheers

  • Force of habit from my school courses it came out unconsciously

  • I work for at&t and can tell you it stands for: High-Speed Downlink Packet Access

  • so even if i get it with contract will it still be unlocked

  • yea if you mean with expansys it is unlocked.

  • i just got my xperia and i see the "H" with one or two bars. is this the same with ur phone? and how do u know what bands are in ur area?

  • It is the same, I cant post links here but google AT&T 850 & 1900 MHz and 3G Coverage

  • ...............im just gonna wait till its subsidized by AT&T man they got a sw33t ass deal though on Exspan 16GB Micro SD & the phone for 600$,but sadly i dont have the money right now. Guess ill just wait untill Novem. 3rd & hear the announcement man i would fuckin shyt myself if they siad they are launching it that day MAN OOHHH MAN!

  • Can it be brought with a contract? From AT&T im bout to upgrade to that phone next month :) XD

  • expansys us are going to get them to sell with contracts.

  • So there will be no AT&T as in the PHONE wont be on the AT&T website or anything :(....wtf is exspansys????

  • the phone from expansys us site. Google expansys and u see, they selling it with att contract for 600 dollars or so. The phone will work fully with att as i showed in the video.

  • I have seen the contract with att. My only problem is the contracts is 109 a month. I am not looking for such an expensive contract tho.

  • so the x1i will work for att right

  • Yes it does work ... voice and hspda

  • is this phone unlocked or locked for att

  • Unlocked

  • hey where did you get it? xpansys?

  • Expansy UK yea

  • oh god dude, the blackberry bold came out today @ midnight lol, im not gettin a data plan for it. & How did u get your Xperia to work with AT&T did u just put the Sim Card in? & THE KEYBOARD are there any extra unamerican letters i should know about?

  • nah pop in the sim card and you are good to go. the keyboard is straight english.

  • wow! 3g speed?

  • what parts of the US are you in? a dominantly 1900 3G area or 850 3G area?

  • NY here, if I am not mistakened its 1900 dominant.

  • 1st..haaa haa..sorry kinda excited cause i love this phone...
