@passdarok11, I wasnt talking about your car...It took this "built" car about 14 seconds to get from a 25 roll to 100...My friends stock H22A Prelude has an intake and a header,no tune,one wheel peel,spinning most of first gear,gets from 0-100 in just over 14 seconds.

Now we came across this bike who cut us don't know if it was 600 but we ended up tail gating it. We could tell the bike's chain had this skipping noise and he cleared way. I drive hondas but understand they're giant jet ski and lawnmower engines. However honda also makes some spectacular Indy car and crotch rocket engines. Just the fact a four cynlinder engine can pull realtively hard still at over 120mph at high RPMs and not explode is pretty amazing craftmanship. Fuel gauge dips cause of gas sloshing around fucking with the sensors.

Thanks to the law of age my engine finally took a crap a few days ago. I was wondering if you could help me out a little. I have a B18 GSR (year 2000) motor I'm putting in my 1996 Civic Coupe this weekend. The motor has nearly a 100,000 miles on it and I'm looking to use it for possible autocross. Would I have to rebuild to run hard or leave as is and upgrade?
@mousehunter311 I have had a 00 si for the last 6 years and the only way to make it go down like that is a right turn. Plus he is accelerating hard so the gas would be pushed a little to the back even if he was going down a hill. I don't think its down hill maybe a right turn. This doesn't even seem fast but I guess im just used to boost.

@durabrigt Yeah, it does that in my Em1 also, there is a meter in the tank that measures the amount of gas you have and when you are gunning it like that it moves the meter around therefor not giving you an accurate show of what you have in the tank. It is pretty annoying sometimes actually haha

@durabrigt the fuel gauge may have gone down but the fuel wasted was not that much lol...in older civics wen accelerating quickly or sharply turning going up hill etc the fuel shifts to the side and thus showing less fuel then it acctually has
@durabrigt the gas gauge in hondas go up/down when you turn or go on an incline, mine goes up when im going uphill and down when i go downhill. also if theres not that much gas in the tank it will stall out on sharp turns lol.
@Mrpimpin21 Especially since you can port and polish the GSR head and put better cams and valvetrain in it then the stock Type R for a couple grand cheaper and flow 100 times better

@durabrigt haha i was about to post a comment on that...im gonna look at my fuel gauge next time i take my car out for a spin...i know my gauges goes up and down goin in and out of corners but never paid attention to it when goin in a straight line lol..

@durabrigt Yeah, it does that in my Em1 also, there is a meter in the tank that measures the amount of gas you have and when you are gunning it like that it moves the meter around therefor not giving you an accurate show of what you have in the tank. It is pretty annoying sometimes actually haha

@KTMdude07 hondas gas floats are in weird spots, if i take a hard enough right turn below a quarter tank it will show me on E for a minute or so

@KTMdude07 it puts more gas into the fuel rails so it can inject it faster, it will go back too where it was before in a minute or two after

@durabrigt Civics fuel gauges just really go down when accelerating, turning left/right and at slopes. It's just not accurate. Haha. Very light gas tank sensor. Really sensitive.

@durabrigt Probably from the car being launched forward. Same way if you're going uphill or downhill, the gauge goes up and down. But I'm sure it did burn some gas right there......lol

Honda's are bad about that. Heavy throttle and car rocking can make the gas gauge go buck ass wild.

@durabrigt He was either going up hill or kind of turning right while punching it . Most 00 hondas or lower do this.

@durabrigt the fuel gauge may have gone down but the fuel wasted was not that much lol...in older civics wen accelerating quickly or sharply turning going up hill etc the fuel shifts to the side and thus showing less fuel then it acctually has

@ikaika923 lol hondas have poor fuel tank windage so the fuel went to the back of the tank and the gauge went down

@durabrigt the gas gauge in hondas go up/down when you turn or go on an incline, mine goes up when im going uphill and down when i go downhill. also if theres not that much gas in the tank it will stall out on sharp turns lol.
