  • @rockerdude29 sry but i destroy preludes with my 4dr gsr.. and this is a worked on hatch.. i beat g35s and accord v6s lol. top end of the b18c is pretty crazy.. specially wen i obliterate new si's and rsx's jus bolt ons good clutch and a chip and that little thing goes. chip didnt even do much jus wanted to run obd1. maybe over 120 a prelude can hang.

  • @passdarok11, I wasnt talking about your car...It took this "built" car about 14 seconds to get from a 25 roll to 100...My friends stock H22A Prelude has an intake and a header,no tune,one wheel peel,spinning most of first gear,gets from 0-100 in just over 14 seconds.

  • I'm kinda hoping these comments about fast acceleration and whiplash and such are sarcasm... built/swapped Hondas are usually quick, but I'd have to say the shifting in this video makes this car look extremely slow.

  • @kevinsupra90 Not that I'm saying the car is in fact slow, or saying that the dude can't drive, as he's obviously driving with one hand, but in reality, 20-100mph in 15 seconds is pretty slow. I'm sure he can get that time down to under ten seconds without a camera in his hand.

  • @MixQuisite Yeah maybe for a super car 80-90 mph in first gear, or a free flowing V8. Keep in mind these are dohc four cynlinders. I drive hondas but understand they're giant jet ski and lawnmower engines. However honda also makes some spectacular Indy car and crotch rocket engines. Just the fact a four cynlinder engine can pull realtively hard still at over 120mph at high RPMs and not explode is pretty amazing craftmanship. Fuel gauge dips cause of gas sloshing around fucking with the sensors.

Difference is those cars can cost over $50,000, My civic cost me 6,000....and with 4,000 in mods could potentially run with those cars from a 20 roll. Our course they would win out of a dig. Honda's have NO torque compared to them. 80-90 1st to 2nd gear are rates of the fastest cars in the world. You're not proving anything coming in here by typing that, and this is a video about Hondas. If you want Supercars lookup the NSX and stfu.

  • @lancermz21 first off let me say I love hondas, been driving for 11 years and its almost the only thing thats ever in my driveway. have 2 right now. BUT I think you are overestimating what your car can do if you think an EK hatch with only a C1 swap, slight boost in cr, and mid-level bolt ons is going to run with lamborghinis and ferraris... but for a civic hatchback yes it is impressve, I myself have owned a B swapped hatch (11:1 B20 EG though) and they are really fun cars, not hating at all.

If they were they were very prototypical and ran like shit I bet. F1 Cars in the 50s would be my 1st guess. Steel and engine metals were very primitive still back then

  • Thanks to the law of age my engine finally took a crap a few days ago. I was wondering if you could help me out a little. I have a B18 GSR (year 2000) motor I'm putting in my 1996 Civic Coupe this weekend. The motor has nearly a 100,000 miles on it and I'm looking to use it for possible autocross. Would I have to rebuild to run hard or leave as is and upgrade?

  • @mousehunter311 I have had a 00 si for the last 6 years and the only way to make it go down like that is a right turn. Plus he is accelerating hard so the gas would be pushed a little to the back even if he was going down a hill. I don't think its down hill maybe a right turn. This doesn't even seem fast but I guess im just used to boost.

  • @mousehunter311 no you dumb fuck. when you ACCELERATE the fuel will move back in the tank, pretty much doing the same thing that happens on a downhill. it happens in my car on totally flat ground.

Fuel gage would increase. if you were going uphill the fuel gauge would go down. Just like with almost any car whether its fast or slow if you accelerate fast enough the gage will go down from the gas going to the back of the tank just like if you were going up a hill. Dont hate just use your brain.

  • @durabrigt Yeah, it does that in my Em1 also, there is a meter in the tank that measures the amount of gas you have and when you are gunning it like that it moves the meter around therefor not giving you an accurate show of what you have in the tank. It is pretty annoying sometimes actually haha

  • @KTMdude07 hondas gas floats are in weird spots, if i take a hard enough right turn below a quarter tank it will show me on E for a minute or so

  • @durabrigt Civics fuel gauges just really go down when accelerating, turning left/right and at slopes. It's just not accurate. Haha. Very light gas tank sensor. Really sensitive.
