That was a short clip, but important. At least the media presented the pagan community in a factual light. It was good to hear that the proceeds of the day went to charity. Blessed be.
Excuse me. There is much more to those people in this video than you care to see. I was at Pagan Pride in San Diego, both this year AND last. The feeling of community, of joining with God and Goddess, and sharing good energies made for a wonderful experience.
Check us out before you make such a "lost" judgement on who we are.
hippies really encompasses people from the boomer generation who took part in certain activities or held certain lifestyles or just dressed in certain ways. These pagans are the fruit of the seed that was sown then in part, and now are getting public recognition as a legitimate religion so they can have rights along with the others. If you really want an answer you would do well to research neo-paganism. The book Calling Down The Moon chronicles much of what has led to todays paganism.

Please, I know all about Neo-paganism. It's abouty as interesting as watching paint dry. It'a people who like to mix different rituals and symbols together, whatever tickles their fancy at the time, and feel like they're special. It has nothing to do with cultural preservation (in fact just the opposite), nor does it promote education.
Yes, whatever tickles a fancy, watching paint dry, mixing, all apt euphemisms and metaphors for the artistic expression of culture and the emotions and hopes and dreams of these people.

Unfortunaely their "artistic" expressions have to do with a lot of history revisionism, and more or less lying about things to suit their ends.
They should at least be honest about what it is their doing and call it an American New-Age Movement and not something that has anything to do with ancient cultures.

There are three chief conditions which come under the title rectal prolapse:
Full-thickness rectal prolapse describes the entire rectum protruding through the anus
Mucosal prolapse describes only the rectal mucosa (not the entire wall) prolapsing
Internal intussusception wherein the rectum collapses but does not exit the anus
