  • This phone has more issues than the touch screen. The hardware has issues as well.

  • @webbie1891 touch screen is part of the hardware..

  • ive got this when my screen wasn't clean and my hands wasn't washd :D

  • 100% software problem bcoz it occurs evn aftr changng my touchscreen........

  • exactly the same dito

problem with my htc wildfire s............it really irritates me,,,,,,,,,,,,somebody plz help.

  • I also just purchased sensation xe n having the same problem as u. I also cannot connected the wifi in my home (unify). I also cannot download mms and the battery drained very fast even I seldom used it. I have to charged the battery every now n then. The service centre doesn't friendly either. They shud recalled back all this model.

  • This same behavior started showing up on mine right after applying a screen guard. Was perfect before then.

  • im Fcuking sick to death of ppl saying this issue isnt present i have a sensation and mine works but like this guys i cant type a text message without missing 50% of my taps and i dont use my nails ffs its a grounding issue while charging that causes the problem! its terrible and htc have done nothing to help me !

  • dude this is a good phone your nail is gay! thats whats the problem. btw i got a question are you having headphone jack problems like does the headphones go all the way in? like mines it doesnt and the phone is awesome i like it idk why it doesnt want to work in that case

  • I had the issue with buttons under screen, they wasn't respond well. Therefore, I called T-Mobile and they replaced phone with new one. After two days of using the phone I have got problem with touchscreen as it described at this video. I tried to fix by following thread 1239238 on xda-developers and it didn't help. I will not by HTC anymore!!!

  • My touch works fine but about after 15 mins of use the bottom quarter of the screen gets very hot, and also the buttons at the bottom dint light up either. Does anyone no what the problem is?i was thinking that i just need to change the digitizer?? Thanks

  • I have the same issues and have tried repairs noted online with no success. I recently called HTC and they said it should be under warranty if there is no damage and the warranty sticker is still intact. After having a T-mobile rep. look it over and visually checking for damage I sent it in to them for repair. Now they say there is "Case damage" and it's not covered by warranty. the case looked new when I sent it in so I have no idea what they are talking about!

  • Think it's super that you make this video, for those who have the problem .. But I must say that I have not experienced this problem .. And I've had my HTC Sensation since it came out and have never experienced this problem .. Maybe it's just me who is lucky .. Who knows ....

  • ive had mine 6 months and mines the same the screen doesnt respond then randomly selects stuff or freezes altogether its a real pain

  • I have a problem with the home key keeps taking snap shots of my screen instead of going to home screen

  • Same typing Problem. I have to Touch the Display much harder as on my xoom. Wtf

  • u r verry stupid or the phone is a shit !!!!

  • okay, i had this issue and fixed it fast! all you have to s=do is take out the th back cover and there is a grounding pi. pull it out not compltely out but just give it a pull. then let ur phone die, recharge it and you should be fine. it worked for me. when u pull the pin, dont pull too hard, pull just a lil bit.

  • @LILFL3X where is that grounding pi. and how does it looks like? :D

  • @Tumas31245 back of the phone. take off the back cover. and its silver. google "sensation touchscreen problem xda developers"

  • I've just had my glass replaced and am now experiencing exactly the same problems. Bloody annoying!!!

  • @ihatepopmusic : I Have Exactly the same Problem, i open my sens 10 times and look that i maybe make mistakes but it is fine.

And try the "pull the pin" but nothing help me :(

If you get it, please let me know

  • hey... i have a htc wildfire and it sucks! just bought it and suddenly there a black line appear in the middle of the screen.. and the place we put the earphone didn't work!

  • The problem with the screen on the Sensation is that it's wank. That is all.

  • i've own the sensation for 2 months now and not experienced any of your ''touchscreen issues'' Must be you.

  • this is a video made by moron...easy !!!

  • I never had that "issue" Sensation is the best what you can get. Love it <3

  • Root it, flash a custom rom, problem solved. Sweet!

  • u r not swapping your fingers properly.....pussy fingers......

Fuck u asshole jerk....even the same problem with iphone..

i have used iphone 4g and htc hd7 and sensation 4g

sometimes it is the problem with our own hand fucking actions..

    So fuck ur self again..****F

  • If you don't like it then give it to me :D

  • lol i don't have anything like those issues with my htc lol

  • maybe you just keep fucking with the damn phone and shouldnt abuse it like ur dick and then u wont have issues

  • Everytime I lock the phone the screen turns back on and every once in a while when I push home it takes a screenshot. Is something wrong with the phone or is it a update issue ??

  • @eddybart22 dude, im having the same problem like yours

  • @eddybart22 It's because you press te home button and the power button at the same time ( or just after each other )

  • @YoD1475

i dont push the home button every time i lock it. when im using it and i go to the home screen it just takes a screenshot, but now it doesnt do it anymore :)

  • @eddybart22

I have the exact same problem! its really annoying!!!!

  • Respond to this video... My phone turns back on when i lock it and takes screenshot when i press home sometimes...really annoying

  • put a bit more effort to put a bit more pressure on the screen and try not to take your finger off the screen too soon, no wander it doesn't work.

  • dude....u r just a hater.....probably from another company....my fone runs fine.....

  • @joddy41 ignorant, didnt you seen his phone fuck up?

  • Mate, this is just your phone. My sensation is great. I have had it well over a week. It's probably just you. Sure you know how to use it?

  • Htc has posted a notification that the sensation has some bugs but they will try and sort it out with a patch soon , but its quit unacceptable really i think !!!

  • @MyIceman12345 all of my previous htc android phones had bugs and with first update they solved all problems.. like with desire hd my notification light didn't work at all except when charging, ringtones, gps fixes (didn't find any gps sats), notification bar didn't show messages, missed calls.. all solved with first update.. wildfire was better but also not perfect in HTC's first attempt.. all of that will be solved

  • Thats what happens to mine but I ignored it for a week and went back to normal

  • mines had this problem just once........so i slammed it on the floor. lol. i just restarted it and it was fine

  • I am having the same problem and I've had mine 8 days.

  • mine works perfect, i've had it for 4 1/2 months...i hope you sent yours back, but it looks like your trying to unlock it the wrong way, you're supposed to pull it to the center of the screen, not just swipe at the bottom

  • wtf an ur just doin it too quick thats why its mesing it upp!

  • if you swipe it any your nails touches it. it wont work it responds to human touch

  • 0:55 you dont know what your talking about its fine

  • It's a phone dude just be cool

  • you dont know how to use it, mine is fine

  • your funny phone my work fine lol smhhhhhhhhhhh

  • you dont know touch screen issues until you have a samsung gravity t

  • INSTALLEN KERNELL LeeDrOiD-Pyramid-V3.3.0 PROBLEM IS GONE

  • I just changed a digitizer on a USA T-Mobile version and it's doing the same thing. I tried two different screens. Took it appart many times to make sure all the connections were right and it fit back together correctly. Still the same thing. I'm totally stumped. There's no common pattern to it. Hope someone comes up with a fix for this. Can't tell if it's hardware or software.

  • hey brian, it seems it acts strange to unlock because you have to use your thumb gester moving the circle above the default quick unlocks. not the phone, just.. you don't know how to unlock properly, gingerbread 2.3 made this phone differently what your used to. so next time, i would suggest a longer hold down hand gester above the icons.

  • when u on the lock screen stop swipin so fast we dnt kno bout thatt app drawer doe

  • i saw the same problem in a shop!

  • The problem is your finger that swipes fast and the nail touches your screen. Screen doesnt recognize nails!

  • I have got the same problem with my sensation....I have already send it for repairs

  • Dont swipe so fast? Seems simple really. Only thing acting strangely is you.

  • because ur white

  • every phone has its issues not just the sensation haha just update it and it should be fine i had the same issues but now it works fine but sometimes it takes screen shots but all u have to do is keep pressing the back button and my friend had the same issue with the samsung galaxy

  • Руки из жопы

  • Did you put a screen protector on the screen?

I experienced the same problems because their was a small piece of dust between the protector and the screen. I removed the protector and put on a new one trying not to get dust at especially the bottom.

  • The issue is the phone. There's a grounding pin between the back cover and the front of the phone that is not making proper contact on some people's Sensations. The fix is trivial and listed on xda-developers, thread 1239238.

  • @hensca ----- ground was the problem for mine and you did fix my problem, great fix , thanks ! google " xda-developers, thread 1239238 "

  • @hensca that is not the case with my phone, i tried there listed fixes and it made no changes at all to my phone.

  • i had the same issue and replaced it with second one,, now same thing all over again

  • im not surprised why more than half of people hated it :|

  • dude that wasnjust u sooo u wasted ur time and everyone elses who saw this

  • Imagine if it was as quick as you want it to be...any slight touch would start something....you're not using it correctly. Like someone else said...it's not the phone...it's you.

  • Since the latest update I have no problem with the lockscreen, but only with the home button which keeps making screenshots...

  • I had the same issue!!! I used to think my hands were sweaty so I kept wipping it and stuff but then I don't know how I solved the issue, it doesn't do this anymore thankfully BUT sometimes when I am on the phone I can't really hang up whenever I wanted because of the auto turn off that it has set up so your cheeks don't push buttons and also when I'm making videos sometimes the video stops recording all by itself! Does anyone know how to solve this issue!??!

  • IM EXPERIENCING THE SAME..

  • i have a problem with the Internet it won't use the internet and i have unlimited everything on my plan i call customer service for T-mobile and there stumped anyone know what the problem could be?

  • dude i have some awful news:

its not the phone its u

  • you jammed it idiot ! it's your fault it's like that !

  • turning it on or off which resulted in frustration trying to end calls or getting the screen turned back on when having to disconnect a call after the end of a conversation. This somehow has to be related to a faulty sensor since this problem also went away when I got the new phone. So again..., if you experience these issues firstly exchange the phone for a new one. I guess this is the most effective solution. It was for me... Good luck!

  • experiencing this problem to return their Sensation and to swap it for a new as well as installing the film. The latter is optional since it is possible that the new phone will work without this step but I'd recommend it under any circumstance, also due to other reasons such as protection etc. By the way..., the old Sensation I had didn't only have this issue but also others such as it didn't turn on or off the screen when putting it to or away from the ear during calls rather than randomly

  • Okay, after my last post where I reported the same issue some things have happened. This is an update for all experiencing this problem. My local HTC support told me I should go swap the phone at the dealer, so I did. I had also bought the "Invisible Shield" protection for the screen but due to the issues didn't install it on the first phone. After having exchanged and installed the protection film I tried out the new Sensation. This time..., NO problems! I seriously recommend to all who are

  • I had the same problem except it only happened when my phone was charging. When I took it off the charger it worked fine.

  • Recalibrate the screen if you feel that the screen orientation does not respond properly to the way you hold HTC Sensation. From the Home screen, press , and then tap Settings. Tap Display > G-Sensor calibration. Place HTC Sensation on a flat and level surface, and then tap Calibrate. After the recalibration process, tap OK.

  • whas poo from your fingers and try again

  • A really good copy

  • Ok idiot you have to touch the little circle and drag it to the middle of the screen and also this phone is not original because it doesn't have the T-Mobile logo but it's

  • Even I'm experiencing these problems quite occasionaly on my sensation, the screen calibration is screwed up, IS THERE WAY TO RE-CALIBRATE THE SENSATION'S TOUCH SCREEN?

  • I have the problem as well and have switched phones AN AMAZING 5 TIMES...pitty for such a great phone

  • it's not just the way he's swiping (although he IS doing a bad job at proving a point) my HTC sensation is behaving exactly the same way.. swipes and taps sometimes don't register, no matter how many different techniques you try.. this makes texting especially annoying, as some letters will work first time yet others you may have to tap 4 or 5 times to register..

  • Why do so many people downvote this? So many fan boys out there. I have the exact same issues with my phone.

  • Really if you stopped being a dumbass and kinda touch the screen, that's why is called "touch screen" idiot.!

  • Comment removed

  • maybe if you swiped right you wouldn't have this issue -.- you swipe it like if its gonna detect your finger in the air

  • lol what a retard

  • Just change it with HTC that does work! mine is perfect and never had such this issue

  • Все Фигня ! У меня HTC Sensation и все работает на ура :)

Мужик просто водит пальцем по воздуху (1:19)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All Bullshit! I have a HTC Sensation and everything works with a bang:)

A guy just drives a finger in the air (1:19)

  • what version of it do you have i have the ORIGINAL and it works perfectly fine yours doesnt even have the tmobile logo on the screen like some one said below you sensation does not have sence . just get a new on3!

  • How can you dislike this first of all...? The man addresses a problem. Secondly, I just got a Sensation less than a week ago and the "lock" acts exactly as funny as in this video. My local HTC support denied having heard about this problem which is a joke since there is an article in an online magazine way back from July 4th 2011 reviewing this problem which was reported by a user 3 weeks BEFORE that date AND confronted HTC about it back then.

So either they lie or are incompetent...!

  • LOL my Sensation runs perfectly fine! Your sensation just has no sense(:

  • Calibrate the phone dude

  • yes,,,i am having the same problem

  • But 3 out of 4 attempts at unlocking the screen were successful, I think its you or your phone, mine is fine

  • @Connor95A Yeah its not all the phones. Just because yours is fine doesnt mean there isnt a large number of people with this problem. HTC needs to acknoledge this and come up with a soloution

  • I dont' know if there is a way to set the sensitivity in the phone for when trying to scroll through the programs on that screen but you'll find that if you are light with your thumb this will NOT happen at all. I will admit it is set at a lighter touch than most other phones. So you're engaging that application by tapping too hard at the begiining of your attempt to scroll. Not WEIRD, just a setting. SECOND: download the OTA .45.531.1 software upgrade and this seems to fix that issue.

  • Fist: There is a minimum amount of thumb to screen distance (the length of movement where your thumb (or whatever digit you use) needs to stay connected to the screen. You can't just FLIP your thumb with a movement of say less than 1/16th of an inch. Your thumb must stay with the RING for a little bit longer. That solves the problem. Second, The SESITIVITY of the program icons is very light while you are trying to SCROLL, thus you hit (tapped) the program icon when you tried to scroll

  • I have the same problem with 2 replacements from vodaphon uk it seem to be a grounding problem and no known solution so far

  • i have the same problem with unlocking the screen. Trying to unlock it from the center of the ring doesn't work but it works alot better when unlocking from the bottom left side of the screen.

  • "thats not good, its working perfectly" ahahhaa try to actually touch the screen... there, glitch fixed.

  • This isn't the HTC sensation. It had tmobile on the top right corner. I don't have a touch screen issue at all.

  • New phone same as. After pressing on waking phone unlock image and screen can move up all leaving big black box at the bottom where inbox, phone, messaging I cons are in the middle of screen thats the worst. Piss me right off in fact hole phone does only went for it because of flash but you can het round that with top browsers that use there servers to process data. Instead of the phone doing it. HTC staff need a good beating I recon for producing rushed device for profit.

  • no effence but ur voice is anoying :/

  • **according to the internet ( N O T M E ) ** this isn't the sensation...its the HTC pyramid.... the HTC sensation has the tmobile sign on it..... btw i haven't have 1 problem with my htc sensation except the

    -tiny battery

-and terrible speaker (i have headphones so its not a problem)

  • Solution: chill... take the 0,1sec longer to unlock the phone :p

  • lol, ofcoz it will stop if you lift your finger up...Touchscreen

  • I had that problem I rooted mine and installed a custom rom and I use advanced task manager to kill apps and it don't do it any more

  • I have the same exact problem with mine... and sometimes in the app drawer, it only scrolls down but not up...

  • I have an HTC sensation now for exactly a month and the last few days the touchscreen has become less responsive when unlocking it, not the ring part but the pincode after the ring. But today i was browsing when my device went nuts. It responded but in a weird way even the four buttons on the bottom weren't responding but when I tried going up or down it zoomed in and out and when i pinched it selected text. I had to press the turn off button and yet it down, then it worked, this the same prob?

  • i have agile lock (sense 3.0 lock screen) on my htc desire hd and it works perfectly! other things such as the menu are working perfectly as well, so i think somethig is a little massed up with yoar sensation...

  • راثع بالجهاز وتقول خربان ومنهو يبي يفتح الجهاز مليون مره ويقفله ..؟

  • راثع بالجهاز وتقول خربان ومنهو يبي يفتح الجهاز مليون مره ويقفله ..؟

  • @samilv44 stop spamming you goat fucker

  • @corruptscorpion

    وش تقول ..!

  • If you did a factory restore then the software should be fine. It's the hardware that's the problem. The previous owner must have dropped it and the digitalizer has dead spots on it. That's exactly what my iPhone was having trouble with and Apple replaced the digitalizer and it works like new.

  • LOL! You dont know how to use a touchphone. HAHA

  • at the beginning I had the problem with the lockscreen, but it's vanished. the problem with the appdrawer is not on my phone. the only real problem ive got is the WIFI-death grip

  • I'm having the same problem with my htc sensation

  • my girlfriend got the same issue with her Desire Z, after she installed the update to Gingerbread, 2.3.3. unlocking goes weird, and in the app-drawer it also randomly selects applications.

Before she updated it she didn't have those problems. Maybe a connection between those two?

  • The same happens on my HTC Sensation - its two weeks old.

    Its a Telstra phone (australia)

  • Comment removed

  • is it made in china?!

  • Stop using your thumbnail to swipe & it might work properly you fool. Any phone will do the same thing if you use the wick of your nail to try and operate it.

  • @matthewjsharpe But then you can't make a video about the lock screen issues!

Anyone else snicker when he failed to get the lockscreen to have a problem, three times in a row? :P

Doesn't seem like a major issue to me ;)

  • I read somewhere that the "majority" of owners are experiencing problems... I don't believe that, but I wonder if this problem is restricted to T-Mobile branded versions, perhaps that some of the bloatware is causing the problem. I have a Vodafone-branded phone, and I have since de-branded it, and I have not experienced any issues.

  • Have you received/installed the latest firmware update, 1.35.xxx.x? It was released by various telecom providers after this video was made, and I wonder if you are still experiencing the problem since then? Hope it fixed it.

  • My HTC Legend also have similar problem. When using multitouch tester to test the screen, some problems will be shown.

  • your fingers are too glossy man, too glossy

  • guy. u need to learn how to use a touch screen. couse it's only a "touch screen" and not a "screen than knows to read a mind of his owner, that don't know how to use a touch screen and taping all around like a monkey". and any way: if you have a problem with your own phone so use the warranty and don't make silly videos.

  • Listen, i'm a htc fan boy. but I accept the fact that this device isn't perfect. Neither is the SGS2. Stop complaining,

  • I doubt u should make it slowly.

  • e'ry phone might have issues like urs it's not a case for general. besides it has a solution too. if u try to tell dis amazing device sucks, htc and its fans wont even give a fuck.

    thumbs up if u agree

  • @pijall put your hands up in de air! air air air air in the air put your hands up in the air

  • i can't understand all this hate and childish comments. don't buy it if you don't like it, or shove your other brands in your ass if you love em so much, simple enough.

  • @aykutb111 demi kardesim :)

  • htc looks like shit!

  • Для любителей подрочить глючным дродом с Roms и S-off или как там они наз :D

  • Автор видео - школьник с кривыми руками.

  • This problem has been fixed by the new rom.. checkout my channel for unlocking your boatloader and installing new rom :)

  • 0:57 "oops~it's no good. It working perfectly" XDDDD

  • Полная хуета! Глючный и неудобный андроидный высер.

  • @sashathesaint

    айфон лучше

  • No issues with my sensation. Works perfectly!

  • Also - and this isnt written to be funny but the screen itself appeared to get quite dry to the touch and sticky itself, cleaned hands and screen plenty of times but it just kept happening, this is weird!!!

  • I have my Sensation exactly 1 week and this happened to my unit too. I noticed it starting to get laggy with the horizontal screen swiping and no carousel effect and launching widgets for no reason. Power off and on seemed to temporarily fix it for a minute or so but it would revert back to the unresponsive screen. Did full factory reset and it didnt fix it. Glad to say they will replace but please: The Flagship device with issues like this??? I am disappointed :(

PS - Have been using htc years

  • @TheDeebee26 This problem has been fixed by the new rom.. checkout my channel for unlocking your boatloader and installing new rom :)

  • All the comments refusing that fact is posted by the account made by HTC haha

  • fake!

The problem is in your hands! amputate them until the disease got to your head!

  • @DukeNukem3Dfx agree

  • I've a Sensation and everything works more than perfectly! I had that bug just after s-off'd, cwm installed and perma-rooted.. but after the first full reboot everything come back working properly...

  • I have a htc as sensation and it works perfect no problems with touch screen perfect.:)

  • i love htc i got the desire HD and the touch screen is as good as it gets! i happy with my phone and you cant tell me i should of got the galaxy s 1....

  • hmm i also brought HTC Sensation about 2 weeks back i dont have any such problems...the only problem with my phone is that the ringtone volume is very low

  • 0:57 "Ugh, that's no good. It's working perfectly." Then tries harder to make the "problem" appear. Fail. -_-

  • @itsProhibited The video is recorded with the SGS2 actually.

  • My Sensation works well and have no issues :P
