  • Am totally addicted to this song right now...thanks for posting this footage...

  • I love this song.

  • Where are the keyboards,lol?

  • He's wearing a tie just like Col. Sanders wore, of KFC fame.

  • thanks Roxy music

  • Ferry is like Dracula become mortal

  • @SupernalOne A sharp and biting commentary.

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder if that singing voice ever got him any pussy.

  • @chingchangchongfly

    Are you mad ???

  • my wife, an English major, is alarmed/scandalized by Ferry's artistic styling - she thinks he's really off-base, she doesn't care for him at all - maybe because she's such a natural optimist

  • @SupernalOne Consider divorcing her.

  • @chingchangchongfly

nah, she's a sweetheart, but I do protect her from my darker passions (like enjoying Roxy Music)

  • IT'S GOOD TO BE AFOOL FOR LOVE!!!!

  • i saw the muppet doll ahhhh

  • nice ribben

  • Roxy Music......................nuff said.

  • Amazing band!

  • Nobody will ever love the wat you do.

  • great!.

  • Yeah, sexy in that vampire kind of way...that's some scary shit he's doing with his mouth....cool song, though.

  • @livetalent I think Ferry, had a cold sore here..That, or it's cocaine..He had a bit of a problem with it back then..

  • @801liveable Or a spot of herpes.... Don't rule it out.

  • Dreamy and gorgeous aaaah

  • you can the Muppets in the right corner of the background !!!!! hahaha...

  • fantastic song

  • this is definitely my favourite roxy music song

  • @edthomas9

Hello @edthomas9 ,"Take a chance with me" is really good. "If there is something (life - especially the violin part)" and "goddess of love" are nice too, i think. (both should be played loud with earphones).

Greetings from DE to all RM- and Brian Ferry- fans !!

  • Is that a herpes outbreak on his lip?

  • Cool

  • Stan Ridgeway of Wall of Voodoo was in thrall

  • the ultimate in cool

  • The only man in Pop-Rock who could get away (just) with wearing that tie.

As a full-blown red-blooded, girl-loving heterosexual, I'd consider swapping sides for this guy.

  • mein 2. liebster song nach more than this vom 82er Avalon-Album. Ich glaub das war das letzte offizielle Studio-Album vor der Auflösung der Band in1983.

RM hat sich aber auch schon mal nach 1975 aufgelöst und BF hat die Band 1979 wieder neu formiert

  • The icon of romantic & cool style:Past, present & future always powerful!!!!

  • Sexy as Hell...one minute with him, just one!

  • Everybody needs one.....don't they??

  • Heard this song on the radio in the early 1980s but didn't get the title or artist. Knew it had to be Roxy Music though. Never heard it on the radio again. 20 years later saw the Avalon LP in a second hand shop and figured this song was in the same style so it had to be on the album. So I bought it, played the first few bars and I knew it right away. Lovely sad song.

  • HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT"S FAIR...This man is not just "a man". I absolutely adore him and had the chance to see hin at he Hollywood Bowl a few years ago in about the fifth row. I don' t believe I' ve been emotionally the same since. When he sang "Jealous Guy" i believe undergarments were changed. Yes, futuristfood....his fabulosity factor is off the scale and is ionospherically high. I sure hope Jerry Hall is regretting dumping him for Mick jagger (gaggggggg). Uber-blech. I LOVE YOU BF!!

  • Did anyone else see the muppet doll @ 1:30 upper right corner?

  • @andreasdlf I've seen this video many times and I don't had noticed that. I love it :)

  • @andreasdlf I think that's a young George Clooney

  • This song brings me back to a pretty cool time in my life...listened to a lot of Roxy then...good times man, gooood times!

  • 2 people dont take chances. this song is THE 80's new wave sound.

  • Never, ever get tired of this one. For me, though I love 'em all, this is my favorite. Greetings from France via the USA.

  • I don't know why this was left off their greatest hits album

  • @Aussiephil99 I have no idea, myself.

  • This is one song i have never heard of. I don't think it was one of his most popular ones. Good though.

  • @chezzeeX lots of Bryan's tunes are not real well known, but once you DO know them, you don't forget and you find yourself playing them over and over. Get the Avalon album and find out for yourself

  • Damn, is there anything as sweet as classic Roxy Music?! Thanks for posting.

  • Heaven knows,I believe..

  • More brilliant Roxy. Sheer genius. Love the line

"People say I'm just a fool, all the people, even you, should learn to love the way I do"

  • This guys repulsive attitude nearly makes me vomit. If he could love and marry himself, he would. He is close to the most disgusting humanbeeing I have ever laid eyes on. Provokingly ugly when he pushes his teeth forward like a horse all the time. And the way he moves just gives me the chills. Like a slippery eel *shivers*

    No thanks.

  • @anbrugm Eh, don't watch it then. Freak.

  • @Rastus32 I would have to watch something to comment it now wouldn't I?

  • @anbrugm ....You're an absolute TOSSER mate. You obviously looked up Bryan Ferry or Roxy Music to have a look at the video. Get a life, instead of being a hateful, spiteful person. Go back and crawl into whatever hole you came out of. BRYAN FERRY IS A GOD! .....gosh, I'm glad I got that out of my system, think I need a drink now......

  • @kymo66 While I'm busy geting a life instead of beeing a hateful, spiteful person, perhaps you should stop for a while and realise, that just because you dont like my opinion I can perfectly well have a life without being hateful/ spiteful person. Go grab a drink :)

  • Ok, maybe I just don´t see it - but how, just HOW do you leave a guy like that for Mick Jagger?

  • @tanjicca...... I know! Jerry Hall must have had rocks in her head! If he were mine, I'd never let go!! *sigh*

  • @kymo66 - I bet he and Jerry looked absolutely amazing together. Oh well. *sigh*

  • ONLY Bryan Ferry could wear such a ridiculous tie and be so INSANELY sexy at the same time, on no other man could it even be possible. Now I will step away slowly and go cool down....

  • @colleencc7 yes true.. it looks like a bow on a present. I would quite like to pull it and hope that his shirt would just fall off haha. He looks unbelievably sexy in everything he wears... even a lime green suit ('Dance away') lol.

  • if i'm gonna live again, i want to be bryan ferry.

  • That man is so attractive ... full of charisma with smouldering good looks ... wow ...

  • класс

  • he is a real musician.

  • is voice is sooooooo sexy... <3 <3

  • his son is wow!

  • I wonder what Bryan is like in bed! Passionate I bet!!!

  • holy mother of God, he's SO sexy in this video... JEEZUS

  • viholio you douche, if your thinkin of the abba song its NOT.

  • jfc!!!

Roxy Music old school doing a cover of Take A Chance on me!!!

Wait- doesn't sound even remotely like it!!!

  • @Viholio Please tell me you're not you're confusing this fantastic tune with an Abba song?? :-o

  • This guy Bryan Ferry is so one of a kind, isn't he ? One might see a little Bowie or even David Gahan of Depeche Mode here but he does it alone for the most part. Quite special, quite good.

  • Saw Bryan perform in 1986 and it was fab. The blue background the emotion in the music just a lovely evening. Perhaps the best show I've ever had the pleasure to attend - even to this day.. I must say, this style of his was unique - mystifying and yes sensual. Too bad my date didn't get it. Non the less it was a great time/ era this new wavey period. I am so happy to have been a good age to appreciate it all.

  • Roxy Music generally and in particular this song was way ahead of its time.

  • not trying to be funny, but Bryan looks like he's sporting one hell of a cold sore!

  • Won't you take a chance with me

  • Won't you take a chance with meeeee

  • Good One! Thanks for Posting!

  • nice number, but it was a strange choice as a single....

  • I dig the tie...slight western twang to the guitar....a fresh world...fabulous artist, fabulous band.

  • FANTASTIC BRYAN.....TRIBUTE BOWIE.

  • A very underated song.

I might be a bit bold here, but its perhaps my favourite on the album ??

The 4 minute version that is!

  • The "Avalon" album holds such special memories. I played this song the first night I met my future wife.

  • My favourite and heaven knows he provided enough competition for it all by himself!

  • WXRT? WKQX Chicago was better.

  • is that Lenny Kravitz' drummer there???

  • One of the last GREAT CROONERS!!! long live the 80's...

  • Bryan Ferry, Like Morrissey and others that I grew up listening to, had great some-writing sensibility with unique, beautiful vocal qualities - God, I miss good radio. ugh.....

  • @BRIDOGG19666 I ALSO ECHO THAT OPINION, RADIO IS NOT THE SAME, NOT ONLY DO I MISS THE EIGHTIES, I MISS THE EARLY SEVENTIES WHEN FM WAS STILL IN IT'S EARLY DAYS, WHEN YOU COULD TURN TO STATIONS LIKE WXRT IN CHICAGO AND HEAR ONE GREAT SONG AFTER ANOTHER

  • is great music, thanks

  • oh this is sooooo gorgeous this song. made me melt first time i heard it;stil does.

    :)

  • ooh poor Brian with a cold sore on his lip

  • @Joannaxxxx too much playin around will getcha one a those :P

  • AINT HEARD THIS FOR YEARS,,WONDERFUL

  • Jagger=more money and big, huge......castles.

  • Love this song too much ha,ha,ha!!!

  • Don't take this down. Contact me if you like, and I'll tell you why this is and has been important to me, again and again. I am famous, and my story will at least be worth the autograph factor! Greetings from Paris, France

  • I still can't believe Jerry Hall left Ferry for that damn Jagger! Stupid Gal.

    ~Tammi~

  • Roxy music songs like this are so romantic in such a simple way... kind of wish I grew up in this decade, you don't get songs like this now. Bryan is so handsome and charming in this video...though he always is ; )

  • What performance is this? What country? This is great, thanks for posting!

  • saw them in 2001 Los Angeles and they were incredible..I like the early and later RM.. Viva Roxy!

  • Is this on the 'Avalon' album?

  • yes !

  • I used to FF this song until the guitar kicked in. LOL But I grew to like the intro as I got older.

  • Great song, pity RM is not playing live...

  • Now I'm not even sure I'm seeing it now, is there something on his lip?

  • Yes he has a cold sore

  • 1:20: Bryan either has herpes, or a cold sore.

  • mY FAVORITE TRACK ON THIS classic album

  • As they say, two can play But keep that song away from me In my time too much love Has made me sad for so long I was blind, can´t you see Through the long lonely night Heaven knows, I believe Won´t you take a chance with me Sometimes I get so blue People say I´m just a fool All the world, even you Should learn to love the way I do I was lost, can´t you see Through the long lonely night Heaven knows, I believe Won't you take a chance with me
  • my wedding song 1-6-1984

  • I'm pretty sure it'll be mine too, assuming I ever do get married. I commend you and your partner on having good taste!

  • Congrats, are you still together?

  • he is very, very sexy.

  • @asp746 yesss sexy sexyyy

  • his fabulousness is blinding.

  • Don't be such a ham!

  • AVE OCHENTAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • saw roxy at wembley just around this time...wonder if it was the same show?

what a great show it was!

  • Bryan is just so smooth and his music is like a dream.... but I am actually going to take him home now so the rest of you can leave us alone now if you don't mind.... we want to be alone!

  • How old is Bryan in this vid does anybody know?

  • Bryan was born 26 September 1945 , so he'd have been 36 or 37 when this was filmed in 1982.

  • I wish I listened to Bryan when he sang this song or I wish you had listened to Bryan ALL THE WORLD EVEN YOU SHOULD LEARN TO LOVE THE WAY I DO!

  • Pissed when I wrote this I was listening to him!

  • i know it.. he;'s great.

  • Bryan Ferry is just too wonderful.

I remember trying to explain to my Graphic Arts teacher in high school in the early '70s why I just followed everything he did . . .

  • dobry kawałek!!!

  • Bryan's lips look sore. Anyone to kiss them better? Nope, just me then! ;)

  • In 1980 when my friends liked Rick Springfield It was all Brian Ferry for me. Not sure what that says about me as a 10 year old-LOL

  • Sublime !!

  • this song is awesome one of the most romantic musics ever
