I remember when I was a noob, and I went to Leafre, I was level 17 trying to see what did Leafre look like. I went over there and thought "Holy crap this place is soo cool!!" I went to see if any quests were available and none were. I went to the training ground, attack a beetle and got killed by one hit. I thought "WTF, Hacks!!??" and then I got stranded in Leafre because I had no more mesos. I begged for mesos for two straight days and finally got back to Victoria.Old MS good times :)

@TheBucketSkill I guess 80% of the time nowadays, when you PQ, people almost don't even bother talking, unless someone is slowing down the party. Unless you're a female character, you don't seem to get much attension (I watch my sister play and see people run up to her and act all flirty and whatnot). THIS didn't used to happen- people were happier and jumping around and all PQ's were always busy, but now look...CPQ sometimes is empty, and CPQ2 is COMPLETELY empty. :/

The... Best Song Ever... i miss the old login view though. Where when you started it up there was a book against the tree and a small wooden post and you typed in your Username and PW. Then it went up with that Sound. Then the PIN with that Keyboard that you thought you get to use off your own but you had to click it all. After that it was the only 6-7 servers.. :'( oh the Nostalgia of this song... makes me cry... such joyous memories of forever trying to level up.. ILY MapleStory!

I remember playing MapleStory back in 2007. I was so happy to play the game, but I stopped for half a year thinking I'd be able to buy it for the DS and never have to log on a computer again. Then I missed update after update, and on January 1 of 2008, I tried playing, and I couldn't log in. I miss the good ol' days.

I don't play anymore but when I got my hermit to third job I didn't even bat an eye. It took 3 weeks.

I was level 73 or so, but as of now (I haven't played since the end of summer) I am 113..... He is 160. :P

Maplestory is absolute garbage now... I remember the pride in being a level 70 Chief Bandit... I felt like a hero back then because most people could only reach level 50 or so.. I remember thinking people level 120+ were the Gods of the maple world.. I remember seeing someone do 10k damage as being super strong...

Now I could reach level 200 in 2 months.. and now players are doing like 6 million + damage on monsters... this game went from epic to a piece of shit internet browser-type game. RIP.

I joined Maplestory in 2004 when it was early beta. Found it by accident. Had lots of adventures & even met an ex-g/f IRL from playing. Many many memories from it. I love this music. The funny part is, I really don't like the game.

You see, this music for me is relaxing. I used to listen to it all the time when I had free time. I honesty loved this song, sometimes I listened to it even when playing other games.

But when I think of Maple itself, I think of getting scammed, leveling a page to 57 only to find out they're worthless, getting scammed, killing 1000 green mushrooms, getting scammed, being killed by Crogs - Also, did I mention getting scammed?

@Merser24 yes it is a publisher, but way back when it was very fresh, Wizet published their own game, at least there was no acknowledgement of Nexon. Also, as publishers, Nexon demands certain changes so the game can compete in the market.
