  • Clearly, Yates did not read the books and had no idea what the story was about. The most important details will left out. His movies sucked! Bring back Chris Columbus and redo his abominations!

  • Argh

all of the fracking deleted scenes would have been fantastic in the movie! they need to include them in the DVDs and make a harry potter extended edition thing

  • @ConfidencePants I think exactly the same!

  • This should have been in the flipping movie... wow...

  • they should of kept it in cause for people who never read the books wouldnt understand how dolohov and the other death eater found them in the coffee shop so easily

  • David Yates is a wonderful director. I've always loved the movies (except the 4th-phew!), but I didn't really start to enjoy them like I do before David Yates started directing. While I think he's a brilliant director, it's moments like this that make me 2nd guess my feelings. He does have a BIG tendency to leave out important scenes and make them deleted ones. Maybe he thinks they'd be bigger and more important alone. Still...

  • And without this scene, NONE of the movie-only audience members know why Harry, Ron and Hermione go around saying "You Know Who" instead of Voldemort. Without this scene, it looks like they have no reason to call Voldemort by any other name- they just start doing so for no reason. Think about it- in all the other movies, Harry (at least) has called him Voldemort. Why should he change that to "You Know Who"? This scene explains that, and without this scene, without the books, you'll never know.

  • The heck?! This is one of the most crucial parts. Without this scene, it's like somehow they automatically knew everything about the horcruxes, unless you fill in the holes with the books.

  • I feel like this was important..

  • Seriously, This was a good scene for people who didn't read the books to know what was going on in the beginning of the movie with the death eaters and how they found The Golden Trio.

  • the first think harry sais sounds like "dumbledore had a ferry" xD

  • It's a really important scene. By the way, I love how Hermione goes and sits on Ron's bed and their worried faces at 0:49

  • Thank God I read the books. This scene was well needed for those who didn't

  • This scene shouldn't have been deleted

  • they def should have included that in the movie. would have helped the people who never read the books!

  • This needed to be in the movie IMHO. It explains more about the horcruxes. oh well not for me to decide.

  • hey doesn't this taboo thing come after ron comes back??

  • @TheEamjay The books and movies don't need to be the same.

  • They took this scene out because in the movie they weren't caught by saying the Name.

  • Oh, so they did explain how the fuck they knew this shit. They just... didn't... put it in the movie! What... why... I have no words...

  • No. Way. They aren't at random?!?!?!

  • i hope they release an uncut versio

  • LMAO love the replies to @LifeLiveLoveCheer

    it's all

    READ THE BOOK

    hahahahaha XD

  • This is the scene. The key to understanding the whole movie. I have no idea why they cut this out. I watched the movie and was lost, but read the books and understood. My friends also said that if they hadn't read the books they wouldn't have understood the movie.

  • they totally should've kept this scene. it explains a lot

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer wow, you've gotten a lot of replies! I bet you know more about how they ate now than most people lol :)

  • its funny that hermione says "its creepy. its like he's here with us" because then it cuts to harry and we all know now that he too was a horcrux. so really, voldemort has been with them the entire time. hermione and ron have been best friends with a bit of his soul since they were eleven....

  • ...Why was this left out...

  • Warum hat man die Szene rausgenommen. Es hat mich beim Schauen des Films schon geärgert, dass nicht klar wurde, warum Voldemords Leute die Drei plötzlich gefunden haben.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer mushrooms, fish, sometimes they'd sneek into supermarkets under the cloak

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer I don't wanna sound like a big old nerd, but the book makes passing references about Hermione taking food from farms and supermarkets (and conspicuously leaving the money she would normally have used to pay for it) and also charming mushrooms and stuff to make them more edible.

  • i agree this part explain everything...

  • WHY WAS THIS DELETED!!!!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer read the book -.-

  • ah tea how we British cope in dark times, that and tuting

  • Ron leaves because: The locket's effects on him, jealousy of Harry and Hermione, feeling hopeless about the Horcruxes, feeling left out, missed his family and feeling Comfortable and the good food and many other things.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Well... have you read the books?

  • Why the hell did that silly man, David Yates exclude that scene????? :( :(

For all the people who have only seen the movies, and have not read the books, I highly recomend you do cause you never know what good parts you might be mising out on.

  • @gullywog there is so much stuff about the horcruxes that i wish were in the movie. i feel that people who only watched the movies don't really know as much as they should about them

  • @joyofpepsi

    You are right.

I was thinking the same thing to. :(

Well I hope many of the people who haven't read the books will see these deleted scenes so that they might have a better understanding.

Part 1 was good but still, many important parts were still missing

This is the reason why David Yates had pissed me off because too many good scenes like these were deleted

He is a good director but he made too many mistakes. I doubt he even took the time to even understand the book

  • @gullywog at the same time i guess we gotta understand that these were only based off the books. writers had to shorten or summarize stuff to keep it within a reasonable amount of time for a movie.. it sucks though. the books are always better than the movie though :P

  • @gullywog very well said! THE SCENE SUM UP what HORCRUX really is about!

  • @napholie14apple

    Oh thanks.

That deleted scene with the trio talking about the horcrux was an important scene and it was quite good to.

    It's a pity Yates didn't add it :(

    but oh well..

  • @gullywog are you calling DAVID YATES SILLY??? you're crap you know

but you are right they shouldn't have taken it out of the book

  • Comment removed

  • @rachmanninoffdrama how that person crap?

  • @gullywog not sure it really was Yates call for being honest. More likely it's again one of Kloves awful decision. As usual.

  • Comment removed

  • @gullywog Keep in mind that Yates did not know the story. He was creating sensationalism. He was not trying to tell the story!

  • @gullywog Exactly!!! Or they should of made it into 3 movies!! I wouldnt mind if it was in 3 movies!! Atleast we will get to see the important stuff!!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the book . . .

  • This scene is do important for the film! Ahh wish thy never cut it. And kept to the taboo of voldemorts name..

  • that was kinda depressing

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer read the book lol

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer well, in the book they eat mushrooms and fish... I think...

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer i wondered the exact same thing when i rewatched digimon, they are stuck on a digital island for months and they probably eat just a couple of times

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer It says so in the book. They had a very hard time scavenging for food, and that was just one of the millions of little reasons that Ron left. They ate everything from random mushrooms to food swiped from muggle stores. Under the invisibilty cloak, of course, and obviously Hermionie gets all sqeamish and leaves some money before they leave.

  • this scene wouldve made the movie ten times better! cant believe they took it out :(

  • This deleted scene is amazing, why they delleted??

  • As I say in all posts xD most of Rupert Grint's role in the movie is chipped off xD it is really a personal opinion.. but yeah lol I can't belive they missed this scene!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer What i a always wonder is how people still havent read the damn book c'mon

  • In the beginning.... why exactly is that little window at the left supposed to be in here?? isn't their tent built in the forest? :D

  • Watching the deleted scenes of this movie made me sooooooo mas because almost all of them really should have been in the movie! I mean I love love love the movie, but the deleted scenes were so good it would have made the movie better. They have a bunch of the stuff I came out of the theater saying should have been in the movie.

  • why did they deleted this!!! it was a very good escene!

  • There was a taboo on saying voldemort, remember that's how they were found in the coffee shop? And they just said it again and nobody showed up. Lol movie messups.

  • the ring didn't belong to voldemort's mother

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer read the book, than you know what they eat :D in the book it's said that they fish and take food from farmers

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer /watch?v=kDiMbJV23Y0&feature=related Bunnies? xD

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer its called read the books

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer You'd know it if you read the book.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer if you read the book, you would know :P

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the book!

  • they should of put tht in!!! again kicking out the inportant sences... honestly i was kinda lost in tht part of the movie... :/

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer It says in the book. they stole food, bought food, caught fish and gathered food, and starved a bit.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Lol. I'd wondered that, too.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer omg when i saw your comment it was like you were in my mind!!!:P:P

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer read the books and you will have your answer

  • i forget where i heard it, but i've always thought the locket was from some muggle tramp that he 'did' if you understand my parseltongue....

  • @khaodem no, the locket was from salazar slytherin. but it was supposedly created after voldemort killed a muggle tramp. I dunno if he "did" her or not though...

  • @InternetAholic It's Salazar Slytherin's locket. It belonged to Voldemort's family. His mother sold it for some gold not long before she gave birth to Voldemort then died. Voldemort in turn got it from an old woman who collected rare treasures. She had the locket and the cup. Voldemort killed her and framed her house elf and stole the locket and cup and turned them into horcrux's it's all in the 6th book.

  • u guys if u want detail info just read THE GODDAM BOOK!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer : At a point, they fish and Ron complains about Hermione having burnt the food or something like that. Otherwise, being british and as shown in this scene... Tea, I guess.

  • They should have kept that because you wouldn't guess that to say "Voldemort" the death eaters would be able to find you. It was a very critical part of the book that is how the death eaters found them at the lovegood's house

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer I have always wondered how do they clean themselves?

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer in the book it said they struggled. hermione picked berries and mashrooms and made soups and they caught fish also but in the movie idk why they ddnt include that

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer it explains it in the books :)

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer or did they poo or pee? i wondered the same thing.

  • @lalanishie67 haha me too xD

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the books - idiot.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Hermione tries to find some mushrooms or something else and tries to make a meal out of it. But the problem is, that ron only likes the good food at hogwarts or from his mum and that another point why he runs away ;)

I think one time Harry tries to steal some food in a town, but there are too many dementores, that's why that did not work^^ :)

  • Why deleting important scenes!!!!!!!!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the book! Everything´s there! :) They barely eat :(

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the book.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer did you read the book? Sometimes they had to starve, sometimes they got berries, sometimes they went found a farm or shop or something that eggs or bread or spaghetti

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer well im sure hermione packed enough food in her bag for a year XD

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer well, harry and ron DID hunt rabbits :D

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer they ate berries and mushrooms that were found in the forest :)

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Hermoine bought food or if that ran out they could cook animails they find (poor animails)

  • They should've kept this bit in I think.

  • OMG why did they cut this? it explained about cutting you know who's name and why harry suddenly switched to you-know-who. i mean i read the book but that part REALLY ANNOYED ME!

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer I'm sure there was some god damn food in hermione's bag

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer I remember when reading Deathly Hallows, Hermione said that one cannot must conjure up food unless it has already been prepared for them. I think they just took stuff from the places they went to with the invisibility cloak if I remember correctly.

  • This explains so much!!!! Y cut it out?

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer once Hermione sneaked into a Market under the invisibility cloak, but she left some money at the cash register, once they stole some eggs and bread from a farm but mostly it was herbs and mushrooms that they found and Hermione cooked

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer random herbs and mushrooms that they found and thought were safe to eat.

  • why leave this part out? WHY??

  • This is in the first movie... or at least something similar.

  • They should of left this in. I know people who haven't read the books and had no idea what was going on.

  • Hey, in this scene Harry says '' The ring that according to Dumbledore belongs to Tom's grandfather...'' but in fact in Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince Dumbledore says it belongs to Tom's MOTHER!

  • @mermaidsh2o it belonged to his grandfather... then his uncle...

  • @ylrmoo Maybe but Harry asked in the movie ''And the ring?'' and Dumbledore said ''It belonged to Tom's mother, hard to find even harder to... destroy.'' Oh well they must have made a mistake.

  • why do they always leave out the important parts?

  • i hate 2 say this but ...i dnt like this scene ....cuz is like all this part is lost or out of cntext and if they show this scene we wouldn't love when ron and harry fight nd HARRY DANCE WITH HERMIONE!!!!!!!!! i love that part don't you???

  • @MiruEmmaWatson ....no.

  • this would actually help people who haven't read the books...

  • Well...honestly, they took out alot of scenes. Just wait 'til the DVD's out.

The dancing scene was great, it was the perfect way to lighten up the athmosphere, since Part one was pretty depressing and there wasn't much action. So if it was either this or that, then I'd prefer the dancing.

Though, this is still a great scene, but I understand the choice of not using it if they had to cut something.

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer in the books it says that hermione poorely tried to cook some mushrooms and stuff they found in the woods and when they came near a supermarket they would steal some food under their invisible cloak but hermione always left money there because she doesnt like to steal :)

  • Wow why would they take this out? I've read all the books and if you ask me this is kind of important. Not important as to you won't understand the movie, but it's still kind of necessary to put in the film. But also I like the dancing scene. It was very well made, and it showed the bond between the two characters. So don't bash that scene

  • Im glad they put the dancing scene in the movie its a great thing it shows how close friends they are :) it reminds me of my best friend toby and me exactley like that the dance scene always makes me smile and not use my brain but my heart :) -33333

  • so they took this important part out and replaced it with REALLY awkward dancing?

  • @ChrisKOkHP ugh I hated the stupid dance scenes and wher did she say this????

  • @arsenalmn I do wish they'd kept details like this because they are important to the storyline. But even JK Rowling herself said that the dancing scene was a great idea

  • This is in the book, and is so great...these little small things that I loved in the book were taken out and instead swapped with "hollywood" dancing scenes of harry and hermione....

  • Why did they take this out? I mean, what would it matter if the film was an extra minute long?

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer Read the novel, you can find the answer. Those contents are too much for films.

  • @frjty it an't no novel its real bitch! jks =)

  • again, kicking out important scenes, they never showed the signs dumbledore showed them, and this scene was very very important

  • @agominator I agree with you about this.

  • @agominator VERY IMPORTANT!

  • Opps I meant the trace

  • oh god this scene was fucking important!!! I always thought... oh god nobody mentions anything about the track and using the voldemort word

  • This is such an important scene! I have no clue why they took it out. When Xenophilius Lovegood says Voldemort's name and then the death eaters come to attack Harry Ron and Hermione, some people might have been completely confused as to why they came there and what made them come. True Harry Potter fans know, but those who settle for the movies are clueless.

  • Why did they take this out! I've read the books multiple times, and I was mad they didn't explain the whole taboo thing. They should have kept it!

  • I can't understand this it's coming out in a different language..but it doesn't matter cause this scene is in the movie.

  • He leaves because he put on that necklace!!The necklace causes people to go mad and say things they dont mean!

  • Erm, this scene is actually in Part 1, what's everyone talking about!?

  • @royamurs Nope its not

  • @MattC1195 really!? in the dvd i watched it was, :O

  • why did they take this out?

    it's kinda really important...

  • The first thing I told my friends who didn't read the books after seeing the movie was about the taboo since all of a sudden they weren't saying Voldemort's name but in the cafe in part 1 they didn't say it either to get tracked. They should've made their minds up on that one.

  • Ummm why on earth did they take this out? This was really important.

  • Ahhh! They should've left this in! This answered like three questions of mine which NEEDED answering. -.- Glad I found this.

  • @annachristinesims you should read the books!! :) they are amazing.

  • This scene is so important! The taboo on the name!!

  • All HP fans plis vote in teen choice awards they really deserved to win plis plis vote this years they all need to win vote HP for everythig specially Emma Watson best Actress she´s really amazing you have until friday tell everyone and pass thumbs up if you want HP wins

  • Where did you find this scene?

  • I really hope this scene is on the DVD release....it's all necessary exposition!

  • This isn't even a long scene ! It would make the movie a one minute longer so why cut it off ?

  • they really should've kept this scene! i didn't read the books and i understood the horcruxes but this would've made it a bit easier to completely understand them at the time! also, "it's like he's here with us" lol foreshadowing FTW

  • david yates is a looser.. this is a very important scene

  • @candidita203 Not really. I know people who watched the movies without reading the books and they understood the horcruxes just fine without this scene.

  • cool, bayrische bierbänke in harry potter ^^

  • I cannot figure out any single logical reason to remove this scene from the final product. Not a one.

  • DUDE!!!! Why did they cut this out! This was very important! It teaches us about the horcruxes!

  • i dont understand..why did they took this? its not that im retarded its cuz i didnt watch deathly hallows part 1 so can anyone explain to me?

  • does this tent actually have a toilet? or a shower?

  • I felt a bit of a rebel for referring to him as Voldemort then! And not as "you know who"

  • crikey that was powerful! The way that Ron and Hermione looked at Harry when they said it's like he's here with us and Harry replies in a way that shows he's absolutely determined to do whatever to end Voldemort

  • i feel like that scene was mega important.. WTF ...

  • I don't understand why this was deleted

  • They take out most of the scene where hermione shows feeling for ron or when ron shows feeling for hermione :(

  • emma watson kinda grew out of her character. she doesnt look like a hermione anymore, she looks all grown up
