Hi, I'm responding because You have a lot of passion in your comments. I'm a Christian as well. I had to witness to my good friends about Jesus, but they don't want to hear that. I've been witnessing my husband to get saved, but he have to decide. I'm learning the hard way to not push my beliefs on others, esp. if they are unwilling to listen. I see soo many other Christians doing that as well. Jesus had told His desciples to just shake the dust off their feet & move on. God bless you.

I don't know about the usa but in holland its forbidden for them to stalk you. In holland we got those Jehova's. They were also stalking me some years ago. Because i was single. I said i will go to the police and since then i never saw them again.
If you really want those religious people to quit giving you things, all you need to do is call the bishop and ask to have your name permanently removed from the records of the church. They only keep coming because your name has not been removed and they are required to do it because you are still "technically" a member of the church.

Hey Laci, I haven't watched enough of your videos to know the answer to this, and maybe you've already done it, but have you ever just politely told "her" or "them" that you're not interested and you don't believe in God and you appreciate their thoughtfulness but you would like for them to please leave you alone and stop trying? My wife & I do this whenever somebody comes to our door and we don't get them any more. Just a suggestion; except for the true psychos, most will respect your wishes.
I had a church guy some to my door step and he was handing me a flyer asking mr to go to his church. I told him if I wanted to go to church I will to it with my own free will so don't be come he and shoving your religion down my throat. and I did not even take the flyer. and I have not see church people sense and that was 3 years ago

I know a woman who's mother left the Mormon church. They pressured her for yeart to return. She eventually did rejoin the Church. And they treated her terribly when she did. Laid guilt trips on her, etc. Damaged her emotionally.

I think its that commission that Christians are assigned to make disciples that led to the Spanish and Christian Inquisition and crusaders. Its not selling God though. I have trouble following most believers' "logic". I think, like many of these "do-gooders" he had trouble comprehending why I found his attitude and actions offensive - as I'm sure the woman Laci is having trouble with would as well. I've actually been working on some literature specifically for the purpose of leaving around churches. I'm thinking of just dropping boxes off in front of the main door really really early sunday morning.
I'd be more than happy to spread copies around to atheists everywhere. I'll send it to a bunch of people and then everyone can keep printing them off and taking them to churches in different cities.
I can say that from experience it is best to leave only a few literature items in specific locations, so that in case someone grabs them all and thowrs them away right off, there will be more to fill their places next week, and so on... just a thought...

If you really want those religious people to quit giving you things, all you need to do is call the bishop and ask to have your name permanently removed from the records of the church. They only keep coming because your name has not been removed and they are required to do it because you are still "technically" a member of the church.

You leave a church by choosing to no longer take up the denominative practices espoused by said church. While I agree that it's a simple matter of administrative issues in order to stop the ads, and that ads aren't so bad considering they are apart of life, a teacher of that liking is not as easily dealt with, as it's not a legal issue with her. And it is ridiculous. It's been years since she has seen that teacher; it's a means for concern when it becomes that obsessive for one person.

It sounds like the pushy attitudes that comes from Evangelist denominations. My families catholic (excluding my mom and I, we broke away), and after leaving church and CCD and all of that jazz, they didn't bother me with any of that crap.
Just wondering because it sounds like that kind of denomination from what they're trying to do. I'd be kind of concerned if my CCD teacher still had the desire to persist in indoctrinating me.

Hey Laci, I haven't watched enough of your videos to know the answer to this, and maybe you've already done it, but have you ever just politely told "her" or "them" that you're not interested and you don't believe in God and you appreciate their thoughtfulness but you would like for them to please leave you alone and stop trying? My wife & I do this whenever somebody comes to our door and we don't get them any more. Just a suggestion; except for the true psychos, most will respect your wishes.

Just do what my Gran did, being the legend she is. When the Jehovah Witnesses etc arrived at the door she acted all understanding then invited them for dinner the next night. When they arrive for their meal expecting a new recruit, alreaddy at the table is the local rabbi, priest and pretty much any religious people she could get her hands on. Was so awesome to watch.

What I'd do is print off a "Fun Fact" about the Dark Ages for her once a week and place it in her mailbox. Ex.... At least the Muslims have the Quranic saying "let there be no compulsion in religion". I think that helps keep them from evangelizing.
I know a woman who's mother left the Mormon church. They pressured her for yeart to return. She eventually did rejoin the Church. And they treated her terribly when she did. Laid guilt trips on her, etc. Damaged her emotionally.

I think its that commission that Christians are assigned to make disciples that led to the Spanish and Christian Inquisition and crusaders. Its not selling God though. Im just informing you that Christianity doesn't believe you can truly reach spiritual fulfillment or true happiness without embracing God and Jesus. And the altruistic nature of Christianity want you to find those two things through Christ and through God. Im not trying to convert you but I never realized how empty I felt as an atheist until I became a Christian. I just don't like forcing my beliefs on others.

ITs nice to see the idea is spreading around. It is not right to force one's belief into the life of another person, regardless of their own beliefs. The only thing I think should be done is to show the different realities for one to comprehend them and analyze them critically.

Sounds almost as if you are being stalked my your former church! They are also denying you your basic right of freedom of religion. Now, not the individuals, but there has to be a driving force. An example from my own life, I hope you don't mind.....
My wife is Catholic, I am Episcopalian, and whenever I visited her church, her pastor would look at me and mention conversion classes, or asking for those interested in becoming catholic to speak to him later.

A friend of mine, arsavard, told me of your videos, and ive been taking a look through them.
I just want to say, that I am a Christian. I beleive in God, I beleive that through right thought and right action, I can be saved from hell.
However, I also beleive that things like Christianity, Beleif and most of all, Faith... are all personal choices.
The bible - which i do beleive in - does say spread the word, spread the gospel...

This wouldn't work for an attractive girl but when these a**holes come to my door I strip off my pants and shirt and answer the door in my undies and socks. They tend not to stay very long. Actually I do this to almost anyone that comes to my door uninvited.

I had a very similar experience when I went to university - thought I was going to reinvent myself and escape my past, and then when I check my new university email account, what do I find? An email from a uni chaplain assuming that I wanted to join him in his evil web of indoctrination! He got a curt email from me for the invasion of privacy and the fact that my personal details had been passed on by my mother's church (I had left 9 years b4) and he got angry, calling ME rude! I have trouble following most believers' "logic". I can say that from experience it is best to leave only a few literature items in specific locations, so that in case someone grabs them all and thowrs them away right off, there will be more to fill their places next week, and so on... just a thought...
