@Axeman2006 - Not so actually, that's just how I usually play cleans, makes it sound more smooth and less ice-picky IMO. The Nitro actually has a very good clean channel.
the 75's can take forever to break in. I have my 4x12 for a year before they broke in. Partially because i could blast that cab much (100w at 3 max and 4 for 50w tube) and because of the power rating, etc the 75's don't start to open up unless you're running a hundred tube watts at 4.They sound great though just have to dial down the hi's a bit though. I actualy don't care for V30's. I have a recto cab and it sounds good but, really dark and fuzzy. I like tight and punchy
Not really sure what you mean by flat, but I tried many speakers with the Nitro, and the G12T-75 was the best sounding speaker Celestion made when paired up with it. The Krank Krankenstein cab sounded best, but it's hard to find any used around here and I'm not paying that much for a cab new! haha
Flat means, no depth. Just noted and not dynamic is what I meant. I hate the 75t's for clean. I got the same cab. My v30 cab is better for metal. My g12-65h cab better for cleans and rock. It is really a lot better for cleans.
And yeah I neither buy new cabs, second hand all the way for me.
Yeah, I have a Framus Cobra 4x12 as well that sounded great with the Nitro, but the 1960 sounded best as it had the huge lowend to accommodate for the Nitro.
I tried many V30 loaded cabs with the Nitro and they all sounded horrible, no joke. Diezel, Soldano, Mesa, Marshall - WAAAAYY too crunchy sounding, I really don't even know how to explain it, but it was bad haha.
Yeah, the Nitro is supposed to have the best cleans of the Splawn amps, it's probably my favorite clean channel of any high-gain amp I've owned.
The Diezel and Soldano cabs were new, but the Mesa and Marshall were used. All of them sounded horrible with the Nitro. Maybe crunchy isn't the word I'm looking for, I really can't describe it but it wasn't a desirable sound, that's for sure!
I think it has got good cleans, heard some good demo's. Cant buy it here in ther netherlands. I think i know what you mean. V30's got a mid bump. It sounds spikey.
The Nitro's has got a lot of mids? Than it should be this. 75t's sound scooped and maybe the mids of the Nitro compensate it :)
wtf is a clean channel?

Yeah, you definitely can get a chimey sound out of it, the Nitro has awesome cleans. The Quickrod, not as good.

Sounds a bit flat... Maybe cuz of the 75t's? I always find these speakers rather flat.

It can be, but cant imagine the clean is the best of the amps. I call huge lowend unbalenced but maybe that works with this amp ;)
I find the 75'ts more crunchie, but can be the amp. Maybe it were new v30's? It takes a lot of hours to make them sound better.

the 2nd position split both pickup and the 4 put the neck pick up in parallel(that produce sound much like fender neck single coil)
