You're right, it's not Mozart, but I don't think she was attempting to place in the ranks of the greatest pianists, singers, and artists the world has seen. She simply makes music, and it's good. Not because she can hit high notes, not because she can play a piano with her eyes shut, but because the words are from her and the chords are her medium to express her thoughts, which are quite lovely to me. Music doesn't have to be amazing to leave the listener with some positive or pensive emotion.
