Cryptic Writings is not my favourite Megadeth cd and I hardly listen to it. But this performance COMPLETELY blew me away. These guys are true professionals! Amazing energy level throughout the performance, and fantastic musicianship. What a band!

Why do you claim to like RHCP now but not John, yet all the songs you like by them are guitar-centric songs? It's obvious you're just saying that because I like him. If you actually preferred the bass, you would listen to albums like The Uplift Mofo Party Plan and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, yet you haven't listened to TUMPP at all and the only BSSM song you've heard is Under The Bridge, which is guitar-centric.

Listen to any of Dave's or Kirk's solos. Dave plays incredibly sloppily, whereas kirk does manage to create successful melodies and decent sounding solos. Not that either player is bad, just i think mustaine can't play lead with the same fluency as kirk. And yes Kirk does use the wah a lot, but Dave does the thing at 3:39 a lot too. He is an awesome songwriter and rhythm/singer though and absolutely owns kirk in that department.

@Poorcs the only reason why dave sounds sloppy is cus he doesn't need a wah wah pedal to make his solos sound good. kirk today can't play for shit like he did in ...and justice for all and the rest of the albums in the 80's. the black album he was good as well. even load and reload he was good. when st anger came out kirk lost it. i do respect kirk on metallica's older albums only not the st anger or death magnetic albums.
