  • Pros:

    1. Tracks well.

    2. OK feel

    Cons:

    1. Scroll feels too rubbery

    2. Battery need replacing every 1.5 months

    3. My right button not really responsive anymore

Been using it for a year.....

  • @kostar500

Some tips from me for better battery life:

    - Buy high quality alkaline/ lithium batteries, you can also try rechargeable batteries, but it's only personal preference..

    - Get used to turn off your mouse when you don't use it.

    - It might be a bad quality mouse..

Try these out, I've just changed my battery today, after almost 13 months..

  • Too dinky!

  • Your an awesome reviewer m8! Thanks for the clip. This is an old one I see, pity I couldn't find ur uploads as easily prolly cuz of the low view-count. I'm looking for a good but cheap wireless gaming & all-purpose mouse (say $80 tops?), any recommendations??

  • @undeny I personally like bluetrack microsoft mouses for that, but it really depends on what you like. I would go to an electronics store and see what works for you.

  • @zollotech can you use this on windows98 and xp plz response

  • Don't buy this product!

I could give a couple of reasons, but the main one is the scrolling wheel. It falls apart in time. It's made of rubber. While it (before it fails you) is pretty neat for searching the web - it works poorly with many programs. Scroll-down windows, scroll-bars etc. So often rendered useless, unless you only search the web.

I am going to replace mine now. Have had it only a year I think. Also in my case, the battery is changed every 1-2 months. And I am a careful user!

  • Black objects don't reflect light.

  • Does it recharge over USB?

  • I got this mouse at Best Buy on sale for $25 and its so great. I had a Arc and it didn't track as well as I would've liked so I returned it and got this. Very nice mouse, love it.

  • Now the 6000 is 25 dollars on amazon! :D

  • really good review! no loud crazy music for a change...thanks......

  • @namqua123 thanks

  • it even tracks on my kitty, no freakin joke!!

  • i have the ms mouse 5000, it felt so heavy when i first got it, but now im used to it.... only bad thing is there isnt an 0n/off switch...

  • I just bought this mouse, It's awesome. I got it in the white edition. Some questions.

    1. You sure we can't have the blue light under it like Explorer / The mouse you showed us?

    2. Some time my scrolling is lagging / working slowly. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX vs Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000--->

    watch?v=5kIOKhyYHMc&feature=recentu

  • my is better, the light isn't visible to the human eye, super sensitive mouse.

  • is this good for gaming

  • @gundrag000 I don't mean this disrespectfully, but if you are asking this question then you will likely find this mouse great for gaming.

  • @dotspace77 yeah.. I have many stress about the wire of mouse. so I am thinking to buy some wireless mouse .. but I see...that.. the ight point of this mouse is not in the center.. the light point is more in right. I have some mouse which looks same with light point of this mouse. and it is not good for gamming. the position of the light point is serious..so I think just cheap and strong and small mouse is best to use. others are all toys. if I have many money, I will create best one for human.

  • @gundrag000 The position of the light should not have any effect on the suitability of the mouse for gaming. The fact that your other mouse (with the off-centre light) is bad for gaming should only be a coincidence. :)

And hahaha, I think it's a great idea to make the best mouse for humans :)

  • @dotspace77 that effected to me a lot ... position is serious to me .. and it is different by person. someone may love the off center position. but usually, most people will like correct center position. and what's mean by great idea ? did you say some idea in here ?... and I didn't try to talk even a idea about best mouse. I just have complained somethings. great idea ? nobody can't make even a great idea suddenly without effort.

  • @dotspace77 most gays and company dosen't make even a thing for human. it is all for money. yet, present this world and all human is not good and smart. so I don't hope here is many good things for human. anyway .. I have no money to buy anything.. so well.. I think this is just for hobby or some.. just normal people who wants wireless mouse or who has many money.. not good for real gamer. and I know most real pro-gamer dosen't use high price mouse for gaming. I have watched pro-game league 10yr

  • very helpful thanks alot!

  • Hi. I have a Logitech's Anywhere MouseMX mouse version and this is my review: watch?v=IKP6Pf28bWw (I'm sorry this is Turkish speech). My mouse is a little bit noisy when I push the left click so I want to change it. I will buy Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 or 6000. Would you tell me which model is less noisy or are they same? I watched a few reviews (I watched your Mobile Mouse 4000 review too) in youtube but I haven't determined yet. Please help me because noise is more important to me.

  • @goksel81 Just get the 6000. The more higher, the best. I have the 6000, It's not noisy at all at the left click, It noisy a bit at the right click.

  • hey i need a desktop mouse that super cheap but not sumthing that will break easily

i dont mind wired or wireless

and it will be used normally with internet office products and occasional gaming

    any suggestions?

  • i love blueetooth a lot easier to use than wirless

  • this mouse is very good! Just bought it yesterday and still going strong!

  • Traditional ones have lasers, not red led's

  • @OutlawzTexas A traditional optical mouse uses an LED. Only a laser mouse uses a laser.

  • @OutlawzTexas: Zollotech is correct. Traditional optical mice use a red LED (light emitting diode). Laser mice use a laser and are about 20 times more accurate than red LED mice. Blue track mice are "allegedly" about 3 to 5 times more accurate than laser mice (according to Microsoft). Dark-field mice, however, are about 20 times more accurate than laser mice. Dark-field mice are better than Blue-Track.

  • Does this mouse work on glass? If not, do you know of any mice that do work on glass? Thanks and great review!

  • @MountainDewMaker the Anywhere Mouse MX by logitech

  • Hi, does this mouse have the "Blue Glow" under it like the mini mouse?

  • @PureSilk25 no, only the explorer versions

  • @zollotech i have got a mouse exactly like yours, so will mine glow like yours its exact same or is the blue led for the exclusive before it actually comes out ones?

  • HI, does this mouse have the "blue glow" underneath like the mini mouse?

  • Hi.. Exc report. Do you konw if works on glass? thanks a lot!!

  • @migueorozco no, only the new dark field logitech does to my knowledge

  • which is newer? the 4000 or the 6000

  • i just purchased this mouse at walmart and im using it now. just plugged it in and i love it already!

  • The mouse works well, but the dongle falls apart easily.

  • Is not recomended for games. i had the same mouse (even is a more recent version) and is a absolutely crap with games, recomended only for normal use

  • what does ambidextrous mean?????

  • this mouse is garbage.... mine stopped working after 4 or 5 months - alot of people having similiar problems

  • Thanks!

  • You mentioned that you'll be reviewing this after a week of use. You haven't done that yet!

  • i've been looking to get this for a while now....just haven't gotten around to wanting to spend the money :) great unboxing!

  • whats the difference between the 3000, 4000 and 6000? I agree I have handled alot of mice and the microsoft mice feel better in my hands, logitechs feel too light and plasticky except for the mx mice, those are nice but expensive

  • My 5000 mouse is definitely followin' the rules the packaging claims it can follow.

  • Hey, anyone got this mouse and an xbox 360? I wanna know if there is any RF problems like choppy signal and what not, any answers would much appreciated.

  • I've had a 6000 and its really good but about 2 months in the red lights gone on. Thats a bit off from their 10month claim. ill wait n see how long it lasts

  • which is the best choice?

explorer mini mouse or wireless 6000?

    thanks

  • I've been using this mouse for the past 4 months and it stopped working. Turns out the Nano transceiver overheated while connected in my usb port. Tried to figure out why the little transceiver overheated!!!

  • @xPsycho3Dx I had the exact same thing happen with this mouse after around 3 or 4 months. Best Buy exchanged with with no problems (I still had my receipt by some stroke of luck). I really like the mouse though.

  • Microsoft mice feel cheap, especially the wheel. Only reason I'm interested is the Bluetrack. Otherwise, Logitech and Razer kicks Microsoft's ass!

  • Does this Mouse have a light effects like Explorer Mini Mouse.. i mean from down.. the Explorer Mini Mouse lights fomr down.. does this one have it too??

  • Logitech darkfield works in glass

  • 4 stars because you are clearly a microsoft fan.

  • I have the gray one and it has a red light on top blinking. Does that mean i need to change the batteries?

  • I like both of those mice but yes i think i'd get the bluetooth one but i'm cheap when it comes to keyboards and mice. But if it's nice i'd get it

  • i just got the wireless mouse 5000 bluetrack. i like it the only thing wrong with it is the scroll wheel, its like buttery smooth which i dont like when i play games because it scrolls to much when moved so fyi to those

  • lol nice rhymes:

ppl tell me that logitech are better

    you know whatever,

if thats ur preference, i have yet to see one that i like better

  • lol, I never noticed that....nice

  • is this mouse good for gaming?

  • lololollllolol

  • i like the mighty mouse and apple keyboard

  • apple keyboard is nice but the mighty mouse, well, lol, you will find out for yourself.

  • How come you have so many?

  • Microsoft sends them to me for review

  • so your review is biased?
