  • cool, only got curtain web trapdoors atm, get a blue mountain funnelweb sent tommorow cant wait

  • hey mate! nice vid! i just bagged me a funnel web here in perth!! i thought someone was trying to kill me when i thought what looked like a tarantula was rustling about in my garage! death james bond spider styles! anyhoo send me a message and or some pics of your setup for the spider! i's like to look after this lil tiger as best i can! sure beats the normal huntsman! this thing is jet black and hhuuuuuuge! mine's a male, let's make babies.

  • @keglimp haha very cool mate. I would love to see a pic o spider you caught. I think it may be something a little different :)

  • @mcreptilecom i hope so but man i swear i've looked at thousands of pics and videos and every little tell tail detail says its a male funnel web easy hands down.

  • @mcreptilecom i uploaded video on my channel of the spider i caught. i think i also caught a female tonight at a very scared neighbour's house. seems to be an infestation going on here.

  • YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND! I always wondered if anyone kept a funnel web, now i know :)

  • i live in england we have no spiders that can pose as a threat but man just watching this gives me the shivers lol, do you own other poisonous spiders?

  • @crickcrack123 Yeah I do but only other funnelweb species. Spiderwise I only keep mygalomorphae spiders (tarantulas, funnelwebs, trapdoors etc)

  • @crickcrack123

That's not quite true; we have the False Widow Spider in Britain (although it isn't native to the UK) and a bite from same can (conceivably) have complications.

  • hey man i wish i could have one! I'm near brisbane and we don't get them up here. Do you know if they can be purchased or do you just catch them? I really want a spider but am unsure the best species or where to buy them.

  • @nick191088 Hi Nick, yeah we do mate. I am in Brisbane also ;)

We get this species locally as well as Hadronyche formidibilis (the deadliest funnelweb species). Regarding getting them yeah you can purchase them but you have to convince most sellers that you are experienced enough to be working with them. If you are really keen then send me a message and i'll have a chat to you about it.

  • @nick191088 I've found funnel webs in the bundi region so if you don't mind the long drive, you could look there.

  • mean girl,,,but bad ass! :)

  • @taboomoko Haha too right! I have the much more deadly Northern tree funnel-web here too. They are considered to be the most deadly spider on the planet. I am saving her for another video though where I will explain and compare with the other top deadly's such as the sydney funnel-web and the brazilian wandering spider.

  • @mcreptilecom lolol twitching

  • @Dimunic Yeah :) 30cm tweezers show up all the little shakes haha.

  • @mcreptilecom :P lol.
