Depends on several things - Your size/weight - Type of water you will be fishing - transport/storage - etc..
For me it is almost a perfect match. I fish allot of open water with wind, current and chop.
Its a great kayak for bigger water and it paddles very well in chop. It glides well and is petty fast even with a less than professional paddler like my self. The rod pod in the center was the selling point for me.
