Those are some awesome eats for sure, I used to pick them fresh off the tree by the bags up in nuuanu valley. I like them green the best, makes you get all puckered up, lol... Great video Jane, and like "G" said, definitely two thumbs up...
Very nice! The first starfruit I had was picked fresh from the jungle where my grandfather lives in Hawaii. What an incredible taste and a curious looking fruit!
@MyInspiredCreation Yes, when I find some for sale I'll definitely will make a video. I'm going to make some more videos soon on my second channel @peterjentwistle
Very nice and informative video. Do you have to have any special soil, meaning does it like acidic soil etc or can you plant it in like potting soil? How big does the plant need to get to fruit? Is it a plant or a tree?
@mediamaker2000 Thanks! I'm only using a mix of top soil and organic compost. I believe you can grow them in a special potting soil. I don't think it will hurt it. It can grow up to 20-30 feet tall, but with proper trimming/pruning, I'm sure you can maintain it smaller. And it's a tree. :)
really cool video! thanks for sharing! was it by any chance inprired by my video? lol. great timing! it went right along with mine, because mine was going to have starfruit, but i couldnt get it for a decent price, and they where very very unripe...
@MIgardener Hehehee. The first part with me in it I actually did yesterday morning and the part where I was eating the fruit, I did this morning. It was my breakfast. :). I guess we were thinking of 'exotic' fruits at the same time. ^^ The second fruit actually had very thin seeds and I haven't checked out the third one yet.
wow that is cool. thanks
