i to have a 25 year old, beautiful daughter, who is autistic; i have given her cannabis in food, for 5 years, it isw an amazing medicine and plant; her tantrums are less, her abstract art is allowing her to have art shows in our community; she doesnt eat it daily, but when i feel a freak out comming on. also helps with her monthly cycle, and the pain. truely thankful for cannibus...
-people who have sevear disabilities like this young man! To the family of this child and also to sam, god bless you and hopefully sam will have a bright future someday! I too have friends who have disabilities and they struggle hard but some are making good progress! In the mean time, i hope that cannabis gets treated more often as living medicine for the patients that need it the most!
-when i was first diagnosed with aspergers at the age of 10. I used to be quite a nussence back when i was younger aswell because i kept getting distracted easily in class and getting into trouble with people. Now i'm doing fine thanks to weed, i can socialize better, learn better in school, and draw better due to the fact that my creativity rises when i smoke cannabis. I can pull off drawings that i can't do when i'm sober! I believe that cannabis can be positive both economic wise and for
See this is why i believe kids with any kind of autism or a serious disability to be able to use medical marijuana because it will help the child out with his aggression and problems in the household. perscription drugs like resperdol and all those other drugs are proven to fail and worsen the child's behavior and mind. The same goes for institutionalizing this child that will only make things worse for him and the parents! I on the other hand have asperger's syndrome and i behaved the same way
I'm also on the lower end of the Autism Spectrum. I have a feeling that I may need some medical pot soon. I haven't been eating the way I used to and I've been stressed out about my family a lot since my mom's been committed. I need a new environment 'cause i'm tired of living with my dad (his house is very dirty). I need to look more into this. If Cannabis can help severely autistic kids, then it can help someone like me who may be low or mildly autistic.
The big thing is should kids take it well should kids take aspirin or Ritalin.. I live in a state ware i cant get medical marijuana and i have been on different types of anti depressants and adhd medication and the only medication that works is marijuana my dad grows 6 plants a year for me he sees how it helps i have been kicked out of 2 schools and have been in in out off trouble and have tryed to commit suicide several times weed is my only hope. But yet my dad has to risk going to prison.
just realized that I have Aspergers after listening @joerogan podcast i do BJJ and Marijuana saved me. Samir 647 8314640. Toronto. Banker/Trader31 yrs old please help me.
@upiyaupi May God help you. Indonesia is so backwards when it comes to marijuana, This goes with the country's military-corporate dictatorship. Be safe. Indonesia is even more oppressive than the USA!
We don't need more research. Cannabis is safer than alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, most of our fast so-called "foods", and almost all of our over the counter medications. There's NO comparison to big-pharma medications, which are so deadly-dangerous and toxic they REQUIRE doctor supervision. L E G A L I Z E.
i am autistic and i am planning to get medical marijuana and have been to a mental instition my medicine is not working so i started smoking marijuana to be honest illegally but now i decided to make it legal
My teacher tells me that for those whom do not believe ath the time when their wine has worn off, then they will see.
"I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom." Matthew 26:29
First, I think that it's great that they found something that helps. But what I don't understand is why the hesitation. Why did the pediatrician say that more research is needed. We don't seem to hesitate to give children harmful/dangerous drugs like Ritalin, which according to WebMD the side effects include liver and heart problems as well as suicidal tendencies.
I'm collecting video stories such as Sams on The-Medicine-Man.info. These stories about people that medical cannabis has helped
@TheMedicineMan11 You need to know the 1938 youtube video HEMP 101 to understand the core of what your fighting, Rick SImpson Run From The Cure part 4 is straight to the point, Cooking with Dr Dianne is another avenue to travel. It is writen in Genesis & this a lone should be a law which allows you access, reflecting on the flight from egypt & if you believe in the struggle of prophets & messiah than follow me. I have sold my property, left my family for this kingdom. are you ready?
All the best to this family. I hope people will pay attention to what is in front of their eyes, and not the government lies. Marijuana has been used as a medicine for thousands of years.
No balls: "we have to learn to also think for ourselves and weigh the issues"
You are the poster child of ignorance. After painfully watching the whole documentary of "The Union", I ran out of paper space defining the legion of fallacies displayed in this "Michael Mooreite" influenced propaganda film. All your statements are nothing but regurgitated comments borrowed from Brett Harvey's film score. You can't come up with one original thought, which that film has not influenced you to say.
Just because deceptive propaganda from about 80 years ago said its a dangerous drug, doesn't mean its true. It has never killed anyone. Meanwhile, tobacco & alcohol are both hypocritically still legal, as well as many prescription drugs that have killed (some without OD) & have long lists of side-effects & dependencies. As far as medicinal use, even with children, there have been some children that have taken the edible pot instead of smoking; with smoking they shouldn't hold it in long
Still More Skewed Box Thought: "there have been some children that have taken the edible pot instead of smoking; with smoking they shouldn't hold it in long."
"Geez...I feel better already mommy. I think I'll now eat those brownies and cheetos that you know I hate to eat for a 5 year old!" Well, I'm glad that you think that "if" my 3 year old should smoke it, that she shouldn't hold it in that long. So Dr. Boxcutter, what's your prescription for length of time and how many bong hits?
More skewed Box: "It has never killed anyone. Meanwhile, tobacco & alcohol are both hypocritically still legal, as well as many prescription drugs that have killed (some without OD) & have long lists of side-effects & dependencies."
And now you want to create a greater sphere of chemical indulgence by empowering people to add pot into the mix of the very things you complain about. Let me take a guess at something...How inebriated were you at midnight on December 31st?
Thinking Inside a Skewed Box: "Just because deceptive propaganda from about 80 years ago said its a dangerous drug, doesn't mean its true."
You are obviously suffering from selective perceptivity, especially when it comes to reading something as simple as these posts. Instead of quote mining material, which you feel is adequate, I strongly suggest that you read "a little further" (back) and see where you are preaching to the choir. Where did I ever say that "Mary-Jane" was "dangerous"?
look it really breaks my heart to hear children are getting diagnosed with autism and i happen to have autism and the resperdone isnt working i will be honest i do not smoke marijuana but im thinking of getting a prescribtion
Medical MJ is a permanent 'needs more research' category in the establishment. I suspect that we'll be watching news reports 20 years from now like this still saying that it needs more research. It's just a cop-out for admitting how beneficial it is & that the government is engaged in a massive crime against humanity for prohibiting it.
fm fibs more: "Over all, you still can't prove that cannabis deserves to remain illegal, and i'm not up for the challenge of convincing you otherwise."
I know you aren't up for the challenge, because you have no facts to back up your position to prove that it is not a gateway drug. Or that your cartel hero's et al will have no disposition to possess any botanical technology whatsoever to increase it's potency. Indeed you are defunct with any experience or rationality on the matter.
Mr. Pediatrician we aren't going to GET 'more research' on the theraputic effects of cannabis from the establishment that you speak for and parents are not gonna be stopped in healing their kids by your empty, authoritarian toned rhetoric.
These reports emphasize that the parents give tiny doses to the kids on the premise that the cannabis is dangerous, but I bet if they followed a similiar protocol as Rick Simpson's patients where they start w/low doses to build up a tolerance but then increase it to a maximum dose, these kids' improvement would improve even more so. Maybe several times over. They maybe could even become 'cured' of the autism for the most part after a while of cannabinoid saturation.
What probably going on is that the vaccines mess up these children's brains, to a larger extent than any of us b/c if you're in your 20's or older you got less than half the shots than they give the kids now on average. And cannabis is a neuroprotective, healthy brain cell regenerator. So after time some of the brain damage is reversed. It's not just calming them down it's healing them.
This boy sounds exactly like my sons kid. I think these kids need marijuana. Why would it not widely be considered as a possible solution, especially since there is never any hesitation in feeding these kids all of these chemical prescriptions that are obviously only helping the drug companies to stay in business. THESE KIDS AND THEIR PARENTS NEED HELP.
ii was born in 1988 obv , i had the mmr vaccine and i have autisim , evryone who has proven the mmr can cause autisim have been fired from the profession . the government is controlled by occultists that worship satan . i told my docter these things he admitted they are true . we live in a very sick world
@TheNatho1988 its sad but true man.... when will the ignorance end?! I could care less if it was ever completely legal... but ive seen countless people that NEED it in their life and think its completely ignorant to not legalize it...
@GeorgeyBoy13 trust me , iknow what im talking about . theres a secret society called the illuminati which is a satanic occult group and the biggest in the world . the word occult is another word for secret . the people who know of them yes their satanic symbols ect is really in your face you cant hide from it , the lucifer eye is on english and american pound dolla notes . which i know is not a secret , but to people who have no clue it is very much not known at all .
@TheNatho1988 There is no conclusive evidence between vaccines and autism. All of the studies have had major flaws and dozens of confounding factors, and most if not all are observational studies.
@HearingEveryRhyme , autism is not genetic , it also cannot be passed down in the family , so how else does one have it , its enviromental toxins , mercury is the cause , 1930's people who worked with mercury their children were diagnosed with autism . Vaccines that contain thimersol which is concentrated mercury over 100 times the toxic limit , cause autism . drug companys that produce vaccines get paid for quantity not quality , medical monopoly , if people are not sick how do they make $
@TheNatho1988 First off, mercury poisoning has very different results than autism. Geier's methods were total bullshit, confounding factors galore! Thimerosol is not used in that many vaccines nowadays too. Autism has a strong genetic basis, this is a fact. While enviromental factors may be a cause, like stress, the genes are very much to blame. In autistic people, there are genetic flaws that are quite specific to autistic people.
I bet if they gave the kid the ricky simpson cancer treatment that he could possibly be CURED completely from autism---- 60 grams of ricky simpson hemp oil in 90 days -----it is not possible to kill him and he would be comfortable throughout the process and they have everything to gain and it is safe because it comes from the Holy Garden of God------I hope everything works out and i hope science figures out what really best for the kids but they dont study it because its not profitable
Aw, dude, you're right man, how could I have been so foolish to distinguish an overdosing homeless junkie stabbing himself with needles from... a medically licensed professional administering much less concentrated doses to a terminal cancer patient through an IV to treat their pain.
You know what, I bet this autistic kid is just fooling his parents into get him stoned too. What a sneaky little pothead. Sad to see him throw his life away though
More nuts: "a medically licensed professional administering much less concentrated doses to a terminal cancer patient through an IV to treat their pain."
Yes, its called morphine. Not heroin, cocaine, or meth.
still nuts:"I bet this autistic kid is just fooling his parents into get him stoned too.
Whoa duude, your finally understanding sarcasm! Unfortunately though, what we have are parents exploiting their child in order to legalize dope for THEIR eventual consumption. Get real.
Okay, well first of all, the next time you try your hardest to sound like a condescending asshole, make sure you spell "au contraire" correctly.
A medically documented case refers to any case documented by a medical physician after his/her professional advice has been issued to resolve the given ailment. However, a couple parents informing the doctor that it was "Dr. Stavia" (I assume you mean Sativa?) that did, in fact, help their children obviously does not qualify as scientific evidence.
nuts:"to sound like a condescending asshole, make sure you spell "au contraire" correctly"
It was not necessary to explicitly write a disclosure on limited space the meaning of "sarcasm" when it was evident that I was intending to show some suggested humor in borrowing a Dennis Miller(ite) expression. So the next time you feel so inclined to sound like a dumbass, put the bong down first, and realize that ordinary intelligence dictates the obvious availability of an online dictionary.
Oh I see...Now marijuana is being called "Medicine". This is another great attempt to high-jack another term for an intended ruse on the subject. Much like what happened to the term "liberal" which now defines the lunatic-left. What amazes me is the seizure of the issue that dope is now being paraded around as a potential universal solvent to include autism, without any substantial scientific-empirical evidence. But who cares about the facts...Al Gore evidently has no need of them either.
"Liberal" has been and will always be a relative term. Medicine, which denotes any substance used in treating disease or illness, may evolve to incorporate more substances over time but is never a relative term.
You should educate yourself on the actual history of the issue. There are 25+ medically documented cases of parents claiming it helped their autistic child. There isn't any "scientific-empirical" evidence because it's virtually impossible to obtain clearance/funding for such research.
nate is nuts: "You should educate yourself on the actual history of the issue."
Oh contraire. I am fully aware of this whole ruse of an argument. It is history and experience that are at ends with your thesis. Not to mention the logical fallacies inherent with such dialogue.
I recommend not taking the advice from Dr. Canabis Stavia, if you wish to be properly educated.
nate: "There are 25+ medically documented cases...There isn't any "scientific-empirical" evidence because it's virtually? impossible to obtain clearance/funding for such research."
You are stoned. So let me get this straight. The "parents" who threw dope into brownies to feed their kids with all the obvious side effects, you call "medically documented cases". Yet you concede that there is no scientific-empirical evidence. how is it that you make this rather mutually exlcusive is beyond sober.
With that said, if you need me to clarify why a medically documented case does not qualify as scientific research, then you're clearly not worth any continuation of this debate.
The definition for medicine that I used was not self-serving. "Oh contraire," t's in Webster's, so look it up. Your simplistic view on medicine is astounding. Heroin and cocaine were and STILL ARE used as medicine (analgesics) in parts of the world (mostly for terminal patients I believe).
nate's still stoned:"With that said... then you're clearly not worth any continuation of this debate.
"oH cOnTrary kAnarY" (whoa duuuude).
too many nuts: "Heroin and cocaine were and STILL ARE used as medicine (analgesics) in parts of the world (mostly for terminal patients I believe)."
It is only evident by taking a few minutes to answer such ill-gotten views that what you believe and what the facts are, are alien to each other. Thanks for the laughs. hardy har har har.
nate: " "Liberal"...will always be a relative term"
Indeed. "Progressively" speaking, it continues to get worse by it's current marxist semantics.
nate: "Medicine, which denotes any substance used in treating disease or illness, may evolve to incorporate more substances over time but is never a relative term."
Oh, like heroine and cocaine was at one time? Do they stand any "relevance" to your self serving definion? Care to rationalize this one with more inane commentary?
As is apparent by the thousands of pharmaceuticals (currently available) with potentially terrible side effects, a substance does not need to be (and indeed could never be) perfect due to the magnificent complexity and variation of biological systems. So yes, heroin may be considered medicine even though it's obviously not an ideal choice for most people.
Oh no, DUDE, looks like strong arguments consist of more than just big words! And I find your "stoner" accusation offensive.
Beyond nuts: "Oh no, DUDE, looks like strong arguments consist of more than just big words!
I have no apology if you lack adult vernacular. You should also remind yourself that in order to submit a strong argument, you must be in the possession of at least some grasp of reality.
Nuts in his ass: " I find your "stoner" accusation offensive."
and then you brilliantly confess: "...Although, I was (and am), in fact, stoned."
I think I know where you stuck your bong. (Support prop 8)
Aw, see, you were doing so well with all those words so gosh darn big and all, but then you had to go n' ruin it with the gay bashing joke. Uncalled for sir, uncalled for. And on that note, I think I'm a little too wounded to continue, so I bid you good day. I SAID GOOD DAY
sensitive little nuts: "you had to go n' ruin it with the gay bashing joke...I think I'm a little too wounded to continue"
Typical of a widdle liddle liberal. You start off by calling me " a condescending asshole" and so the gloves came off and now you can't take the heat. Sorry if it exposed your psyscho-sexual orientation disorder. You epitomize classic demented liberal idealogies. I suggest that you not engage with debates, if you want to feel comfortable with your wrong thinking.
more nuts"A medically documented case refers to any case documented by a medical physician...a couple parents informing the doctor...obviously does not qualify as scientific evidence."
Congrats, your preaching to the choir. Put the joint down. When you make the argument that there are "There are 25+ medically documented cases" as a means to rebut my fact that there is no empirical evidence to support your stoner philosophy, you are intentionally trying to draw the two together. "uh wazzat?"
...Although, I was (and am), in fact, stoned. C'mon, it's thanksgiving break! And who knows, maybe you're arguments would be slightly more cohesive or effective if you took a couple hits? Just a suggestion.
still nuts:" thousands of pharmaceuticals (currently available) with potentially terrible side effects...So yes, heroin may be considered medicine..."
Do you honestly think there is rational thought here, just because you provide a trite and idiotic disclamer that it is "not an ideal choice for most people"? You are comparing "apples to needles" here. The so-called side effects of heroin are IMMEDIATE. You cannot imply that only some people "may" go limp and nod in and out of consciousness.
The medical community had their chance to help this kid. They failed. The parents gave the kid a medicine made by God. It works. This is wonderful for the kid! Why would anyone not want this for the kid?
"eh hem" ehren: "The parents gave the kid a medicine made by God."
That's like saying God also made hemlock to be used as "medicine" as well. (Socrates "maaaay" have a different point of view, but that's just my opinion.) Getting the kid stoned is not a wonderful thing. Addressing his problems are. Naboline can treat the same thing. It just doesn't have the euphoric-mood alterning effect. Saying dope is the answer is just a ruse to the topic. And you know it.
okay, i should not have used the "god card" agreed. These people didn't just jump to cannabis without going through the medicine commonly available for autism. Another thing -- the kid's not gonna get stoned from that speck of hash taken orally. I too would disagree if the kid was cheifing away on a joint, but they're using medical marijuana in a medical way (orally that is in small amounts)
ehren: "they're using medical marijuana in a medical way"
This is again high-jacking a term called "medicine". Pot is not medicine, irrespective of all the chemical compounds. This makes it a non-sequiter argument. Besides, what accounts for "normal" levels of ingestation when considering the potency of the hash, or the child's level of tolerance? How did they know how to titrate the child's system? This has no FDA, AMA, or even the WHO approval of such a practice.
Since Pot is the least harmful drug known to man(and it is...its not possible for a human being to consume enough to die of an overdose) and since it has already been used as MEDICINE for over 5000 years without any fatalities the approval of those entities is irrelevant and redundant. Cannabis is a self-titrating drug. It has a "zone" that is easily found with no danger of overdose death. People with experience already know this.
hib:"It has a "zone" that is easily found with no danger of overdose death."
This is ridiculous. So since the intellectual fervor of pot will never cause overdose death (excluding the reality of something called allergens!), therefore your implication leaves it to the minds of sane thinking people, that...
"well the kid may get really stoned before we can find an acceptable level to feed him the hash..but at least he shouldn't die, because we have no documented cases of it as we know."
hib:"the approval of those entities is irrelevant and redundant."
Continuing on with your fallacious reasoning...Pot being "least harmful" with no documented "fatalities" is not an all exlcusive premise to justify it's identity as "medicine". As for your disregard for the Food and Drug Administration, the American Medical Association, and the World Health Organization's stance against "dope" as "medicine", is not exclusively based on your false assertion, that, that's what it is about.
hib:"and since it has already been used as MEDICINE for over 5000 years without any fatalities"
This is a straw-man argument. Yes, it is least addictive as compared to alcohol, heroin, cocaine, as well as morphine and oxycontin. And since there has been no documented cases to demonstrate a fatal overdose of pot (assuming one does not have an allergy to its chemical make-up, like some kids do with peanuts), does not justify its existence for constructive medicine.
hib:"Since Pot is the least harmful drug known to man(and it is...its not possible for a human being to consume enough to die of an overdose)"
Geez, I didn't know water then was so dangerous to consume in vast amounts to cause toxic responses...Oh, and there have been reported deaths of drinking too much water. But please...go on with more of this fallacious reasoning.
Wow..after reading all your comments I just have to say this. You're not worth my time until you actually do some research and learn to even have a remote clue on the subject. Until then, go have fun jerking off your DARE officer.
hib's private id:"Until then, go have fun jerking off your DARE officer."
Evidently, you are also suffering from some homo-erotic impulse that your butt-monkey cohorts have influenced you into practicing. I suppose this is also inherent with your drug induced thesis that "People with experience already know this." Although, I must vehemently reject your invitiation to be part of such a corrosive mind-club. You may want to contact NAMBLA. Thier support group will welcome you with open "hands"!
hib takes a hike:"I just have to say this. You're not worth my time until you actually do some research"
Typical tripe from a stoned left-wing nut job that is absent without any sense or sensibilities. If I were all that uninformed on the subject matter, you would be diving in to this with the rest of the hacks on this site to discredit me. Your exit on the topic is only reasonable that you have no sound reasons to argue the matter, which is more than obvious from your erroneous posts.
I didn't exit the topic dumbass. I just pointed out how little you know on the topic. Of course that's redundant as other people have also noticed your lack of information or intelligence and pointed it out...even that's redundant since your only tactic of throwing insults clearly demonstrates you have nothing relevant to say and no way of refuting what anyone else says.
More hibby fibby: "since your only tactic of throwing insults"
hmmm, sorry there simpleton. You have to remind yourself (if your not too stoned to remember), that it was you that had the cathected impulse to encourage me to "go have fun jerking off your DARE officer" invitation. I have no apology in engaging with the sharp and relative rebuts (pun?). If you are too weak to tolerate your own medicine, I suggest that you stay in the children's sections. (NAMBLA's waiting).
more hib-flop: "nothing relevant to say and no way of refuting what anyone else says."
Then your only hope is that our viewing audience are reading these posts like it is braille! Your only contribution was to make self-serving claims with the inherent attempt to ignore what you couldn't negate. The fact that your partisan-primates have not been able to remain on topic, is indicative of their academic failure. So, the only thesis your lack of intellect leaves is name calling...
And like I pointed out to your boyfriend "nate", and as usual, (speaking of being redundant!) This is the typical tripe from left-wing nut jobs. You are obviously absent with any real rhetoric to justify your stance, or even capable of pointing out what my supposed "lack of information or intelligence" (sic), when in fact, I have easily exposed your fallacies. Hurts doesn't it..I mean being stupid and all...
yea YOU're not worth my time. Hate to break it to you but YOU're not the topic. As for arguing with you, well, that's like trying to play basketball with someone who doesn't know how to dribble yet.
more hib-lib: "arguing with you...that's like trying to play basketball with someone who doesn't know how to dribble yet"
The only dribbling being displayed here, is the foam spewing out of your mouth with all your pointless bombasting. Next time wear a bib, before you go tossing around your misguided drivel you dolt.
teetmaulau your Statements are ignominious at the least these people are trying to help thier child and you are just Way over your head with these Irrational Thoughts of yours.. Which are out of Context and Obscure. Your demeanor is Making you sound Low.. Who are your Friends Mabye they Will Listen to Your esoteric.
Dark "Mabye they Will Listen to Your esoteric." (sic)
Ignorance is being more than displayed by your lack of retort. Rather than just making a fool's accusation, try to supply some back up regarding the so-called "obscured context" that you seem so dazed and confused with. I think it's quite rational not to exploit a special needs child with this topical ruse, so that these 1960's regurgitate dope-head parents can justify using pot for their "legal" recreation and call it "medicinal needs".
@hibraisil if that was directed at me , ill have you know this video is about autism and a possible treatment for it right ? , my short story which takes a whole 5 secounds to read is about exsposing the cause of autism and the people behind it , i dont want other people going through it aswell it sucks ass , so i think its fucking relevant that i made that comment ! and your comment has fuck all to do with the topic which is in fact a waste of time . if it wasnt directed at me well my bad
@TheNatho1988 Normally I would simply ask you what you're talking about but since you attacked me without knowing for sure if I deserved it...FUCK YOU. YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!
@hibraisil wasnt really a attack was more of a debate , but yeh my bad man i seen your comment right next to mine without a name so i did the stupid thing and asumed it was an attack on me nd took it personaly and wrote back in defense . soz bout that lol lesson learned
@TheNatho1988 Its cool. I wouldn't have reacted so harshly either except for having only 2 hours of sleep in 48. I'm much better rested now. The real loser here is Teet. Wants to control everyone else's life without knowing anything about life.
way to be a troll, where is your scientific backing? what are your credentials? I bet if your loosing an argument in person you just talk louder and faster, its the equivalent of what you are doing on this youtube page. grow up you under educated propaganda filled person... I wonder if your strong anti-medicine stance has anything to do with all those mormon subscriptions on your page, hmmm
Paul "grow up you under educated propaganda filled person"
Geez....I don't know if I can come back with that gem. My scientific backing doesn't come from Dr. Dope from "Oaksterdam University", like your so-called "scientific" spine has its backing. Unlike your imbecilic cohort, "DarkThug13" (scary), I work among Dr's who are readily accesible for such trite issues as this. I also have a family member who is an O.D., and who is not od'd with such mindless research rhetoric from dope docs.
exactly, you have no credentials, so shut the f... up, your an idiot, just because someone in your family might be a doctor (probably a very shitty one) doesnt give YOU any credentials, i HAVE a degree in NeuroBiology, so... Shut up and stop trolling already you undereducated overspoken excuse for a boy.
Paully want a chill pill "so shut the f... up, your an idiot,... i HAVE a degree in NeuroBiology,"
Before you go to far with the self-aggrandizement in an attempt to appeal to your private authority...touting a so-called degree in neurobiology in my face doesn't prove squat, if your only retort is baseless rancor. Given the child-like vernacular of your fallacious discerment of my character, you also reveal any real credibility that you are at least 15 or 20 years old...at most.
You really have a lot to learn about pot. There were studies done by the gov't, where it was found harmless. Also, ask yourself this question. Why is it that United States is the only developed country that still criminalizes industrial hemp? Watch a documentary called "The Union", you can watch it for free on youtube. Please educate yourself on marijuana, open your eyes to the truth.
fmkenshin : " Please educate yourself on marijuana, open your eyes to the truth."
Contrary to your private opinion, I am quite educated enough, and this is an issue that a 4th grader could understand. Please educate yourself with taking a private census with every one who has (or had) a substance abuse/addiction, and ask them "how it all started".
fmkenshin: " Why is it that United States...still criminalizes industrial hemp?"
Because you are a product of inexperienced thinking on the matter. Had prohibition been able to control alcohol, I wonder how many AA organizations there would have to be? I wonder how many broken homes there wouldn't have to be? I wonder how many drunk driving deaths there wouldn't have to be? We live in a culture where people can't put down a cell phone while driving, now you want to add pot to the mix?
fmkenshin : "There were studies done by the gov't, where it was found harmless."
I find these politically amorphous statements annoying. It does nothing but project the fallacy of an appeal to an authority, when in fact it is nothing but an "immaginative authority" in this and like cases. Trying to juxtapose the issue with "harmless" with some unnamed gov't research compound, are in fact unrelated. If you want to argue "harmless", than you better define what you mean by it.
You're educated and you refuse to learn anything new when it comes to marijuana. Do you even know how marijuana became criminalized? If you can answer that with the correct answer, i will believe that you have some logic and reasoning behind your arguments. But you honestly won't be able to answer that question, because none of your answers are backed by any research. You spit bullshit that you've concocted on your own, and actually believe it.
fm's bs: "Do you even know how marijuana became criminalized? If you can answer that...i will believe that you have some logic and reasoning..."
Subjecting yourself to non sequitur arguments like this, only proves who's the irrational one. So selectively ignoring my previous remarks to interject a tangential debate over a weak history lesson, is your idea of being "reasonable" or "logical" ? No reasonable retort = loss of reasonable argument. Put the bong down and think straight for once.
@TeetMauLau Wow so you can't bring your self to admitting that you've lost. Refusing to acknowledge that cannabis was criminalized with a propaganda campaign so that big corporations can eliminate competition is just sad. As far as me ignoring your previous comments, I've not ignored them, I've recognized them as nonsense "You spit bullshit that you've concocted on your own, and actually believe it." None of your comments are backed by any research. All of them are in fact your own opinion.
fm's fib: "Refusing to acknowledge that cannabis was criminalized...so that big corporations can eliminate competition..."
No, I just refuse to adhere to such a irrelevant argument which is only obvious when there are several states (i.e. Alaska, Mass, etc...) and other countries (i.e. Amsterdam et al...) that have pot legalized and can do such research. The fallacy is that you have nothing but YOUR opinion, with no available definitive empirical studies with professional acknowledgement.
More fm fib: "As far as me ignoring your previous comments, I've not ignored them, I've recognized them as nonsense...None of your comments are backed by any research."
Indeed, circular reasoning with no plausible retort as retort. your sense of projectionism is quite impressive. I like how you allow to dismiss yourself from any accountability for investing in a real logical debate by reducing your retorts to basically "nu uh!" Gee-wiz...you got me there!
More fm fallacy continued: "There hasn't been a single case where...marijuana causing cancers..."
Marijuana may raise testicular cancer risk: study:
"The study of 369 Seattle-area men ages 18 to 44 with testicular cancer and 979 men in the same age bracket without the disease found that current marijuana users were 70 percent more likely to develop it compared to nonusers." (Reuters, Feb 9, 2009)
This finding is just as or more legitimate than your bombastings speak of.
Anyone with .3% of common sense can read what your "High profile" author..."Brianna" (a business owner and "artist"...wow!) wrote and file it away under the rest of your irrational rancor complaints of "being opinionated". You exposed NOTHING. Never mind that the article explained itself explicitly of its findings. Never mind that all involved with this research was backed by "Scientists" with such letters like M.D. and PhD. Even Brianna said so!
fm fibs more: "Over all, you still can't prove that cannabis deserves to remain illegal, and i'm not up for the challenge of convincing you otherwise."
I know you aren't up for the challenge, because you have no facts to back up your position to prove that it is not a gateway drug. Or that your cartel hero's et al will have no disposition to possess any botanical technology whatsoever to increase it's potency. Indeed you are defunct with any experience or rationality on the matter.
fm's fallacy (3): "There hasn't been a single case where marijuana been known cases of marijuana causing cancers, respiratory problems of any sort,..."
Cannabis use and risk of lung cancer: a case-control study.

Medical Research Institute of New Zealand, Wellington, New Zealand.

"Conversely, there is also evidence that delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol may have anti-carcinogenic effects 11–13."
Over all, you still can't prove that cannabis deserves to remain illegal, and i'm not up for the challenge of convincing you otherwise. I won't bother replying to any more comments, i can honestly say that this has been a waste of my time. marijuana use is already prevalent, it's only a matter of time before it becomes decriminalized, so either way it doesn't really matter how much false evidence is stacked against it.
fm is feeble: " I won't bother replying to any more comments,"
No surprise...Because, I have easily shown and proven that you have no rational argument. Maybe if you get a degree as an "artist-business owner", you can imagine more things up like your imbecillic think-tank "Brianna" (with no last name), and maybe then you'll be brave enough to make more specious-based moronic rhetoric.

Regarding your first rubbutal to my comment. No it has been proven time and time again that marijuana isn't a gateway drug. You can look that up for your self.
As far as hemp being illegal in the United States, do you really think anyone will some a product with .3% thc. Hemp is legal and used to manufacture many products in every industrial nation, but the United States, why other strains of cannabis are still illegal, United States still refuses to decriminalize the use of hemp.
fm's fantasy: "No it has been proven time and time again that marijuana isn't a gateway drug."
So again, all drug law enforcement agencies really don't know what they're talking about? All individuals doped up on all the hard stuff, must have just started on the hard stuff right away? I guess all obvious statistics that demonstrate that dope has had the same potency since the 60's? This of course inviting your narrow minded opinion that it can never be laced...Do the census yourself.

fm's fried: "United States still refuses to decriminalize the use of hemp."
Yes, because it has no other value but to get stoned. Once a tolerance is built up to that, what do you need? More of it to the point where then you'll need something stronger. Simple as that. I am grateful to know that there is no such thing as hard alcohol. Can you imagine what that would do to bored beer drinkers! Golly!
When i say marijuana is harmless, i say that because a person would have to intake 40,000 times their weight to over dose. There has never a single recorded death due to marijuana overdose. Products people use on the daily basis, such as sugar, water, bread... can cause more damage to a person than marijuana would. There hasn't been a single case where marijuana been known cases of marijuana causing cancers, respiratory problems of any sort, or any health deterioration at all.
"...CANCERS OF THE HEAD AND NECK REGION, INCLUDING THE MOUTH, TONGUE, THROAT, AND LARYNX."
"Michael Thun, MD, vice president of epidemiology and surveillance research for the American Cancer Society (ACS), agreed the study strongly suggests habitual marijuana smoking increases the risk of head and neck cancers." (ACS, article date 01/18/2000)
In case you didn't know "ACS" stands for the "American Cancer Society". Again something stronger than your stoned opinion.
"Their study, published in the December 1999 issue of the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, is not the first to link marijuana to such cancers. Earlier research has shown marijuana cigarettes contain more tar and higher levels of certain cancer-causing chemicals than tobacco cigarettes. DNA mutations have been found in respiratory system cells of marijuana users and several case reports have found an unexpectedly high number of marijuana users among patients with..
Still refusing to acknowledge the benefits of hemp, yes because people are really going to get stoned from smoking a product which contains .3% THC. So every single industrial country that uses hemp to manufacture food, clothing and paper is doing something wrong. As far as the cases on marijuana causing lung cancer, luckily cannabis can be made into food or taken through a vaporizer, which eliminates all of the carcinogens that cause cancer, thus eliminating the risk of cancer.
You're wasting my time, the federal gov't has criminalized marijuana. Even if individual states decriminalize pot, it's still considered illegal by federal law, which trumps state law. The New Zealand case showed that only 5% of marijuana users were found with cancer cells and i wouldn't trust federally funded American research facilities that experiment with cannabis. They are automatically disqualified from showing true and fair studies to the public imo
fm fibs more: "Over all, you still can't prove that cannabis deserves to remain illegal, and i'm not up for the challenge of convincing you otherwise."
I know you aren't up for the challenge, because you have no facts to back up your position to prove that it is not a gateway drug. fm is paranoid: " i wouldn't trust federally funded American research facilities...They are automatically disqualified...imo."
This is why you shouldn't be getting stoned. It's only natural that your uneducated, biased opinion (i.e. "imo") would naturally disregard all such foundational studies from both foreign, national, and global entities and label it A CONSPIRACY! The hypocrisy is, if such agencies were vindicating YOUR fantasy thesis, that would be proof enough. I know! Ask "Brianna"!
More fm fib: "As far as the cases on marijuana causing lung cancer, luckily cannabis can be made into food or taken through a vaporizer,"
Gee Whiz! How could I have been so BLIND!!!!!!! You mean that was your stance all along? You just wanted a Jean Hemp Jacket and write your dolt-headed reports on Hemp paper (Wait...is that what Obama meant by going green?...uh never mind). I'll try to remember to use vaporizing hemp instead of vicks vapor rub for my 2 year old when she gets sick. Thanx!

Mr. Pediatrician we aren't going to GET 'more research' on the theraputic effects of cannabis from the establishment that you speak for and parents are not gonna be stopped in healing their kids by your empty, authoritarian toned rhetoric.
dubified89 1 year ago
These reports emphasize that the parents give tiny doses to the kids on the premise that the cannabis is dangerous, but I bet if they followed a similiar protocol as Rick Simpson's patients where they start w/low doses to build up a tolerance but then increase it to a maximum dose, these kids' improvement would improve even more so. Maybe several times over. They maybe could even become 'cured' of the autism for the most part after a while of cannabinoid saturation.
dubified89 1 year ago
What probably going on is that the vaccines mess up these children's brains, to a larger extent than any of us b/c if you're in your 20's or older you got less than half the shots than they give the kids now on average. And cannabis is a neuroprotective, healthy brain cell regenerator. So after time some of the brain damage is reversed. It's not just calming them down it's healing them.

@TheNatho1988 There is no conclusive evidence between vaccines and autism. All of the studies have had major flaws and dozens of confounding factors, and most if not all are observational studies.
HearingEveryRhyme 1 year ago
@HearingEveryRhyme , autism is not genetic , it also cannot be passed down in the family , so how else does one have it , its enviromental toxins , mercury is the cause , 1930's people who worked with mercury their children were diagnosed with autism . Vaccines that contain thimersol which is concentrated mercury over 100 times the toxic limit , cause autism . drug companys that produce vaccines get paid for quantity not quality , medical monopoly , if people are not sick how do they make $
TheNatho1988 1 year ago
@TheNatho1988 First off, mercury poisoning has very different results than autism. Geier's methods were total bullshit, confounding factors galore! Thimerosol is not used in that many vaccines nowadays too. Autism has a strong genetic basis, this is a fact. While enviromental factors may be a cause, like stress, the genes are very much to blame. In autistic people, there are genetic flaws that are quite specific to autistic people.

TeetMauLau 2 years ago
"Liberal" has been and will always be a relative term. Medicine, which denotes any substance used in treating disease or illness, may evolve to incorporate more substances over time but is never a relative term.
You should educate yourself on the actual history of the issue. There are 25+ medically documented cases of parents claiming it helped their autistic child. There isn't any "scientific-empirical" evidence because it's virtually impossible to obtain clearance/funding for such research.
nate4021 2 years ago
nate is nuts: "You should educate yourself on the actual history of the issue."

TeetMauLau 2 years ago
With that said, if you need me to clarify why a medically documented case does not qualify as scientific research, then you're clearly not worth any continuation of this debate.
The definition for medicine that I used was not self-serving. "Oh contraire," t's in Webster's, so look it up. Your simplistic view on medicine is astounding. Heroin and cocaine were and STILL ARE used as medicine (analgesics) in parts of the world (mostly for terminal patients I believe).
nate4021 2 years ago

"oH cOnTrary kAnarY" (whoa duuuude).
too many nuts: "Heroin and cocaine were and STILL ARE used as medicine (analgesics) in parts of the world (mostly for terminal patients I believe)."
It is only evident by taking a few minutes to answer such ill-gotten views that what you believe and what the facts are, are alien to each other. Thanks for the laughs. hardy har har har.
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
nate: " "Liberal"...will always be a relative term"
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
As is apparent by the thousands of pharmaceuticals (currently available) with potentially terrible side effects, a substance does not need to be (and indeed could never be) perfect due to the magnificent complexity and variation of biological systems. So yes, heroin may be considered medicine even though it's obviously not an ideal choice for most people.
Oh no, DUDE, looks like strong arguments consist of more than just big words! And I find your "stoner" accusation offensive.
nate4021 2 years ago
Beyond nuts: "Oh no, DUDE, looks like strong arguments consist of more than just big words!
I have no apology if you lack adult vernacular. You should also remind yourself that in order to submit a strong argument, you must be in the possession of at least some grasp of reality.
Nuts in his ass: " I find your "stoner" accusation offensive."

TeetMauLau 2 years ago

still nuts:" thousands of pharmaceuticals (currently available) with potentially terrible side effects...So yes, heroin may be considered medicine..."

Why would anyone not want this for the kid?
ehren27 2 years ago 2
"eh hem" ehren: "The parents gave the kid a medicine made by God."
That's like saying God also made hemlock to be used as "medicine" as well. (Socrates "maaaay" have a different point of view, but that's just my opinion.) Getting the kid stoned is not a wonderful thing. Addressing his problems are. Naboline can treat the same thing. It just doesn't have the euphoric-mood alterning effect. Saying dope is the answer is just a ruse to the topic. And you know it.
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
okay, i should not have used the "god card" agreed. These people didn't just jump to cannabis without going through the medicine commonly available for autism. Another thing -- the kid's not gonna get stoned from that speck of hash taken orally. I too would disagree if the kid was cheifing away on a joint, but they're using medical marijuana in a medical way (orally that is in small amounts)
ehren27 2 years ago
ehren: "they're using medical marijuana in a medical way"
This is again high-jacking a term called "medicine".
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
Since Pot is the least harmful drug known to man(and it is...its not possible for a human being to consume enough to die of an overdose) and since it has already been used as MEDICINE for over 5000 years without any fatalities the approval of those entities is irrelevant and redundant. Cannabis is a self-titrating drug. It has a "zone" that is easily found with no danger of overdose death. People with experience already know this.
hibraisil 2 years ago
hib:"It has a "zone" that is easily found with no danger of overdose death."
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
hib:"the approval of those entities is irrelevant and redundant."
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
hib:"and since it has already been used as MEDICINE for over 5000 years without any fatalities"
TeetMauLau 2 years ago
hib:"Since Pot is the least harmful drug known to man(and it is...its not possible for a human being to consume enough to die of an overdose)"
Geez, I didn't know water then was so dangerous to consume in vast amounts to cause toxic responses...Oh, and there have been reported deaths of drinking too much water. But please...go on with more of this fallacious reasoning.

You really have a lot to learn about pot. There were studies done by the gov't, where it was found harmless. Also, ask yourself this question.

TeetMauLau 1 year ago
fmkenshin : "There were studies done by the gov't, where it was found harmless."

No, I just refuse to adhere to such a irrelevant argument which is only obvious when there are several states (i.e. Alaska, Mass, etc...) and other countries (i.e. Amsterdam et al...) that have pot legalized and can do such research.

Or that your cartel hero's et al will have no disposition to possess any botanical technology whatsoever to increase it's potency. Indeed you are defunct with any experience or rationality on the matter.

fm is paranoid: " i wouldn't trust federally funded American research facilities...They are automatically disqualified...imo."

Thanx!
