man, you don't know whatcha tlakin 'bout, beno udrih and goran dragic are two completely different players, udrih is a pure point guard, a player's pointguard. maybe the most talented slovenian player after ivo daneu, also great understanding of hte game.

while dragic's, playmaking skills are undisputed, is more of a 1.5 then a typical 1. he can also play great on the 2 position and is far better penetrator than beno ever was. both are solid defenders, but goran is more athletic.

Dragic To Maccabi Tel Aviv the best club in Europe, and immediately. Maccabi has to loan or buy him but he is absolutely the guard they need. I think that a season in the highest levels of europe would only help him to become a NBA star in the future. he has the potential. Good luck.

Dragic looks good he's got good balance,good shooting form,can penetrate and finish in traffic,quick,excellent handles,and hopefully has better defense than Nash lol.

Goran is certainly not the next Nash. He is a role player at best at this point. Even with Nash as a mentor Goran will never be as great of a shooter or passer as Nash. However, he does have two things that Nash never had; the athleticism to rise up and dunk over defenders and the ability to play good, if not great, defense. He'll play ok this season, but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular from him for at least a couple years.

the guys got potential, no doubt.But look at the larger picture.

This guy is fresh from europe. The NBA game is not the european game. It's the premire basketball league - the highest competition.

Most of you suns fans are expecting to see instant success with dragic. Sorry, but that is very unlikely. This guy will need lots of minutes and a couple of years experience before he lights things up if at all.

Its possible, but rather doubtful he'll make an immediate impact.

hmmm... due to the fact that tactics and plays suck in nba and because everyone tend to play solo and european game is team oriented he may do more then you expect. One great example is Beno Udrih, who was also quite unknown in nba. Well... we in europe saw what he can do. Too bad he was wasting his years in San Antonio. But back to dragič. He is basicly the same player as udrih with worst shooting and is a little more scared when going to the basket. If you repair that, you got a jackpot.

His first year in the NBA he looked tentative and wide-eyed. Now he looks like he belongs. It took right about 2 years for that to happen.

I watched Dragič on euroligue game in Ljubljana (UNION OLIMPIJA is name of club) and I have to say, that guy is really good in defence and fast in attack's ... I know he will be very good someday.

well the deal hasn't happened yet. he reminds me more of manu ginobili in how he plays but far less dirty or gay in how he flops. here's hoping he gets signed and backups nash. He definetly needs a year or two more here in strong Euroleague, where he will play more. Plus, I think with his style of play, he would fit more into NBA basketball, cause the same thing is with Beno Udrih. He was not a superstar in Europe and now he is playing excellent in the NBA. It is important which style a player prefer, cause it is not such a big diference anymore betwen those two leagues like 15 years ago.

Sorry for bad english. Hope we see Goran replacing Steve Nash in 2-3 years:)

I´m from Slovenia and I`ve seen Dragic play a lot this year and few years before. For all Phoenix Suns fans, I think you got a nice player for 45th pick. His very got at penetrating and fastbrakes. His is not excellent on defensive end, but I could say solid. He is really fighting and Tony Parker was really frustrated with his strong defense at Eurobasket. His shot is not his stronger side, but it is improving. I am not doubting, that he will be very good at it someday.

Look at videos of LeBron James...there you see only dunks and shoots...without assists...every videos are made like this...accentuacion is on scoring!

Well yeah, but LeBron is a forward, not a guard. But I know what you mean. The videos are made to highlight the player's personal strengths. And unless the player has a bunch of Nash-esque circus passes, then those assists probably won't make the highlight reel.
