  • wtf....who the hell is this dude and now he commin in!!!!

  • He was a congressman for 8 years or so and a former republican.

  • Notice the resemblance between Barr and Hitler, its uncanning. Barr NAZI for President!

  • Go Barr!!!

  • Ron Paul's former aide reveals: "We needed" Barr to vote for the PATRIOT Act. nolanchart(dot)com/article3876.html

  • he fought against the patriot act. he voted for it so he could be part of the committee to add sunset clauses to it. if it wasn't for barr, it wouldn't be open to debate today.

  • "It's very rare to find someone who's willing to change their position and then be so public about it," Mr. Kampia said. "He's definitely increased the credibility of the Marijuana Policy Project. People have to take us seriously when we walk through the door with Bob Barr."

  • outright libertarians

  • freeliberal(dot)com/blog/archives/003357.php

In 2001, Barr was the lead figure in the GOP-controlled House in pushing back against the PATRIOT Act, and ultimately suceeded in deleteing some text and forcing sunset clauses on the bill's worst provisions.

  • still voted for it. don't schill for Barr on multiple comments. are you a plant or something?

  • i'm part of the vast right wing conspiracy to steal votes from mccain.

  • Which means he read it in detail and still voted for it! It makes me so mad that Ron Paul supporters would actually consider voting for this traitor.

  • traitor? to whom? seems he left the GOP and joined the Libertarian Party.

  • He's a traitor to every single American by voting for the Patriot Act.

  • I really don't see how hurting those who have joined the goodside is beneficial to liberty and our country. Have you seen the transformation in Barr over the last 5 years? Against the Patriot Act, against the war on Drugs, Against the war in Iraq and against policing the world, against FISA, against high taxes, for individual liberty, and pro-personal freedom. He has awakened! You can hurt liberty all you want, that is your right, I will be voting for the LIBERTARIAN Bob Barr!

  • This fascist voted YES for the Patriot Act, YES to ban gay adoptions in D.C., YES to ban flag burning, YES to ban medical marijuana in D.C., sponsored the Defense of Marriage Act, and opposes illegal and LEGAL immigration. I would have to have absolutely no morals to vote for him. Skinheads love the guy I'm sure

  • Mike Gravel for president!

  • he voted for PATRIOT Act.

Of course, he now "regrets" it.

I can't say I COULDN'T vote for him, but I'll need a good explanation for his vote if he wants mine.

Consider this if your a Ron Paul supporter. Don't be fooled by every one that says the word "liberty". Dig a little deeper.

And again, I'm not saying Barr is all bad.

  • he actually regreted it in 2003 dumbass

why cant someone change thier beliefs for the right

  • I did not say he JUST changed his mind. Read my sentence and I did not specify when he "regretted" it.

you can change your beliefs for the right. but you can also change them for politcal gain.

and AGAIN, I'm not saying Barr is all bad and it is very possible he had a geniuine change of heart. but is it not our job to be critical? I mean seriously. you can't just blindy trust politicians EVEN if their libertarians. that was my only point and I stand by it.

  • The democratic thing to do is to let this guy run for president, but to be honest, SO MUCH has happened in the last year since the other three candidates announced their run for office that I think no one will take this guy seriously. #1) Nobody outside of Washington or the Liberatarian party knows who Bob Barr is. #2) He looks like he's just behind McCain in the race to the pearly gates. I mean, c'mon! We've got SIX MONTHS to go till the big shebang, tardy much?!

  • His name is fun to say though! Bob Barr, Bob Barr...almost sounds like "Babar" (the elephant) if you say it really fast.

  • What's with all the stuff about racism and sexism now just because a woman and a HALF black man are running. They're both clearly human beings and don't need people saying "I should vote for Obama because he's black" or "I'll vote for Hillary because women fought hard for their rights." I don't think this country is ready for a black or woman leader yet if America can't handle this maturely.

  • As an African American Libertarian, I refuse to vote for him if he is the nominee. He has ties to white supremacists.

  • No he don't.

The rEVOLution must support Bob Barr!!

    bobbarrforums dot com

  • 5678: What are his "ties to white supremacists"? The fact that he was an attorney for Chester Doles? So was Barr's liberal Jewish law partner. Maybe they were defending Doles' constitutional rights, not his beliefs.

  • Damn, is this man black? LOL. He looks like he tried to hide the kinks with a perm and a hot comb.

  • Again, Bob Barr is Black! He is like Nicole Richie, actress Carol Channing who starred in "Gentleman Prefer Blondes" with Marilyn Monroe, and he is similar to "Walter White" the 1st Black President of the NAACP who had two-fairskinned Negro Parents but was blonde with blue eyes and for all practical purposes "appeared White". Google Image: "Walter White"!

Apparently, there are countless blacks like Bob Barr who are black but look White. So, there is another Black man running for President.

  • kp365, Bob Barr is a Black Man. Everyone knows this in the black community. My friend told me this, and said Barr used to be part of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta organization.

  • My friend told me that your friend is wrong.

  • Oh gee - another white male conservative. Just what we need. Move along Bob. You ain't got a snowball's chance in hell.

  • He's a libertarian now, douchebag

  • Still conservative. Not defending KPs comment, but Barr is still conservative in the traditional sense.

  • Libertarians are traditional conservatives

  • I hate to be argumentative here, but, as best as I understand it, right-libertarians are traditional conservatives; the left-libertarians and anarchists are far from it. But I guess you probably realized that, and if you did, know I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but there are people who wouldn't know.

  • Yeah. Libertarianism is such a small party and not well known to a lot of people.

  • racist

  • Run Bob, run!

  • He's seeking the LP nomination
