The car weighs 800 lbs less than a Camaro ( depending on the Model Z06 weighs 800 less ) and the car puts out equal to 200 more horsepower than a Camaro. My car is fast but a corvette with that kind of power is scary fast i dont see how it is made for girlie men the thing out runs Lambos, ferraris, porsche's, nissans, you name it and the corvette has probably done it.

I think the 2010 mustang is more of a looker than a performer..I like the subtle changes but its 2010 and a v8 engine should get more than 305 hp.. im glad to see that ford is stepping their game up in 2011 with the 5.0..

A stock SS and a 2011 stock mustang should be pretty close. Mustang weighs a couple hundred pounds less but camaro has 14 more hp and 30 more tq. As far as comparisons go - look at the HPE 650 Camaro vs the Super Snake Mustang. The Camaro tore up the Mustang in every catagory. I guess the less powerful pushrod motor spanked the mod motor.....hmm. (ZR1 = Pushrod too) Oh yeah - and the Camaro has out sold the mustang for what 7 months now??

the test stang was said to run under 13....the camaro does it in 13. i no the camaro was always the better performer, but im sayin not anymore...pushrods are out, and ford will prove that when the 5.0 comes out. ane the camaro has NOT outsold the mustang. 77-78 and 82-85 are the only year camaro outsold the stang. dont forget the camaro is NEW!!! so fo course people are gonna jump and buy it.

Part of the reason for outselling the mustang since the camaro came out again is because it is new, but time will tell. We have bone stock camaros that have run a 12.6 already with consistent 12.9's. It depends on the driver, it will be close. It is nice to see the new hp wars again!!

I love how these guys are all talking about how the Camaro will win mod for mod, but yet they're the first ones to say a Termi doesn't match up to an SS because it comes stock with more horsepower. Even though mod for mod it still gains more hp per mod because it's a 6.2 versus a small 4.6l motor.

I hope you guys realize a mod motor will make way more power than a pushrod. Anyday anytime. As well as be a better daily driver. The Camaro loses just face the facts.

There's pros and cons to both. I would guess that the weights going to go up a little to about 3700lbs and with 412hp and 390tq - it will be a drivers race. The Camaro will still weigh a little more but it will have more hp and tq to make up for it. The Camaro S/C got hit with the "new car" premium price and I am sure the stang will see the same right away. For 10k - I got a lot more than a s/c - it is built and tuned by a legend.
