can somebody who knows what they're talking about message me and tell me how I can start this? I have microlights that I can do only basic stuff on, this type of poi looks much more expressive and manipulative. I obviously wouldn't get to try fire for quite some time, but can somebody suggest what kind of poi to start out with? ones that preferably won't be incredibly hard so when I beat myself I dont knock myself out lol. where should I start, how do I learn moves? thank you (:

You can have the best skills in the world and something can still go wrong. and after a point (of course), the better you get the more danger you are in since you'll be doing moves that have a much greater tendency to wrap you up if you get stuck. and most spinners that get burned end up that way because they decided they were too good to need basic safety measures anymore.

I had to reread what I typed to understand your point towards me. all I said was that you shouldn't be spinning on fire if you don't have the knowhow(skill) to be doing it. The same would go for burning yourself etc. If you know the risks involved you will take the proper measures to avoid them. Sure things happen, but if you prepared for them you are far less likely to get burned.
