NExt season we have two all americans being joined by a Top 10 reruiting class, improving players in Galloway, Miller, and Liggins, and a star tansfer. Porter's trying the best he can, and has been hitting the open threes the past few games, which is what we need out of him, but i'm still not sold on him playing over Liggins or Galloway, who are both showing great improvement. It's a well known fact that players improve most from their first to second year, which is very good news for UK fans concerning Galloway, Liggins, Miller (who's starting to get really good), and even Harrelson. Next year could be GREAT. Now, LETS BEAT TENNESSEE!!!

Wow. Congrats on your 3 straight Final Four appearances. We had 3 straight Final Fours from 96-98. Only difference is we won the National Championship twice in those 3 appearances. You went 0 for 3. You've had 17+ losses 3 times since 2003. We haven't had that many losses in a season since 1989. We also hold a 6-4 record against you, so it's you who can't talk.

Yeah, and even though we've been around longer, you have almost 100 more losses than we do. We only had 186 games under our belt when UCLA started, so that's hardly the difference. Nice try. The Pac-10 will be sending 3 teams to the NCAA Tournament. The SEC will likely have 5 or 6. The Pac-10 has only won a National Championship twice in the last 35 years. The SEC has won it 6 times in that same timeframe. No chance the NCAA Champion will be a Pac-10 team this year either.

2008: 3rd
2007: 1st
2006: 4th
2005: 5th
2004: 2nd
In 2009, they were 6th, so only once in the last 7 seasons did the SEC not finish in the top 5. I would go further back but I couldn't find any info past 2004.

Yeah, Kentucky has been playing basketball longer, yet you still have almost 100 more losses than we do. It's all categories combined that make a historic tradition like the University of Kentucky. 1,988 wins, 43 SEC reg. season titles, 21 SEC titles 25 SEC toruneys, 13 Final Fours, and & national titles. We don't have one little era we rely on. We have 106 years of winning that we rely on. UCLA vs. UK---no contest. UK=greatest tradition and program in NCAA history, period!

thecirons, yea and you OBVIOUSLY forgot the fact that KENTUCKY is 6-4 all time against UCLA???? And the largest margin of victory was by KENTUCKY on 3/20/98 by 26 points, 94-68. So who cares that UCLA has more titles, Kentucky still has most wins all time, best winning percentage all time, AND they have a winning record head-to-head against UCLA!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah because of one run. Look who has the best overall tradition that has been sustained over all of history, not just a 10 year run. Take away Wooden and what does UCLA have? Yeah, not so much. Just look at the "Most wins" list. While UCLA is FAAAAR down that list, UK sits pretty at first with 1,988. Sorry. We also own the head to head record with UCLA 6-4. Nice try though.

I am not trying to crack down on UK. As far as I am concerned they have the second best program in history. I will always believe that the program with more national titles is the best. I would rather lose to a team twice in one season and win a national title. I would rather win a title than going 35-1. Oh and take away Rupp and UK slips a little. Not as much as UCLA though.

That's fair. It has always been debated as to what the #1 college basketball program is, either UK or UCLA. I believe UK homerism aside because of our long standing, sustained sucess as opposed to UCLA's more one run. Of course that's not to you havent been very good outside those years, but still.

I was replying to the Cva232 guy. But, yes both Meeks and Patterson are coming back, plus we have a Top 10 recruiting calss alreaqdy and thats WITHOUT the guys cal may bring in. The SEC is NOWHERE near as bad as last season was and most of the people in th media have already realized this. That diss doesn't work anymore.

Imagine if Meeks, a first team all american, would have been at full health as well as Jasper and Patterson all of last season, we would have had a legit shot at winning it all last year. NExt season we have two all americans being joined by a Top 10 reruiting class, improving players in Galloway, Miller, and Liggins, and a star tansfer. We have a legit shot at winning it all next season. Sit tight.

Porter's trying the best he can, and has been hitting the open threes the past few games, which is what we need out of him, but i'm still not sold on him playing over Liggins or Galloway, who are both showing great improvement. It's a well known fact that players improve most from their first to second year, which is very good news for UK fans concerning Galloway, Liggins, Miller (who's starting to get really good), and even Harrelson. Next year could be GREAT. Now, LETS BEAT TENNESSEE!!!
