He ended up having a back injury from the landing but did not die from it His OWNER made the choice to put him down so he would not have to live in pain! It was a humane choice to make & I am positive that it was extremely hard to make! If any animal lover had the choice between keeping the horse alive so that he could suffer the rest of their life or put then down to end that pain they would choose to put him down.

Cried watching this? I did, this is the reason why i dont eat meat, because i respect all living beings, unlike these horrid people. Monty roberts can get a horse to do join up, follow up, accept a saddle and first rider within 30 minutes with not a soul getting hurt and the horses emotions kept in tact.

I rodeo my brother is a bronc rider. these horse are bred for this. i love my horses we have like 20 somthing right now. i study my horses. but back in the old days this is how they broke horses to ride we are just keeping that alive today. and you are buying tickets to get these videos and we will keep doing this as long as yall are buying tickets. so shut yall mouth. i hate that yall are doing this. why dont yall find something ells todo like stop pit bull. yall dont know anything about rodeo

And, in real riding disciplines (not this bucking bronco stuff), they care deeply about their horses. There's a partnership and a bond between them, and they trust eachother not to kill one another, especially not without remorse. That is certainly not abuse.

@SHARKonlineorg They wanted to get him out of the arena as quick as possible to get him to an area where he could be properly diagnosed and treated. Also, a lot of the times they'll crowd around a dead/dying horse so children in the audience aren't sitting there watching it.

Lots of rodeo horses go into shock when they hit the ground that hard, they cant stop bucking after the people fall off because of the bucking straps.. so they buck until they get it taken off. some of these horses break legs and some fall and get killed by impact, hitting the ground that hard with so much adrenaline in the system and cause the heart to race and then fail.
Cheyenne rodeo pisses me off. This rodeo is terrible! But I wish you people could realize that rodeo isn't bad! The animals are treated great at rodeos! Maybe not Cheyenne, but the ones I go to, the animals are all treated better than the riders! And the Broncs and Bulls seem to love their job!

@forhrss Actually something IS happening. Rodeos are steadily falling more and more out of favor. My local fairgrounds no longer holds a rodeo at all and that formerly was the main attraction. You might have said the same thing about circus animals 20 years ago... but now most of the circuses that used live animals are out of business thanks to public pressure. Someday these gladiatorial bloodsports will also be gone. And that will be a great day for this nation.

If any animal lover had the choice between keeping the horse alive so that he could suffer the rest of their life or put then down to end that pain they would choose to put him down.

Rodeo has been going on for a very long time & the amount of injuries & deaths of both animals & Humans are extremely less than those that have gone correctly. And, in real riding disciplines (not this bucking bronco stuff), they care deeply about their horses. There's a partnership and a bond between them, and they trust eachother not to kill one another, especially not without remorse. That is certainly not abuse.

Lots of rodeo horses go into shock when they hit the ground that hard, they cant stop bucking after the people fall off because of the bucking straps.. so they buck until they get it taken off. some of these horses break legs and some fall and get killed by impact, hitting the ground that hard with so much adrenaline in the system and cause the heart to race and then fail.

@forhrss Actually something IS happening. Rodeos are steadily falling more and more out of favor. My local fairgrounds no longer holds a rodeo at all and that formerly was the main attraction. You might have said the same thing about circus animals 20 years ago... but now most of the circuses that used live animals are out of business thanks to public pressure. Someday these gladiatorial bloodsports will also be gone. And that will be a great day for this nation.

Notsomuch. Yes, I've seen the horse-tripping. Yes, I've seen the steer-tail-grabbing. A PICNIC, compared to what these American animals go through.

Yeah Shame on those handlers who yanked on that horses reigns when the horse was obviously not having a Fucking Picnic on the ground! And shame on anyone else who mistreats animals. As for the government and "legislators", they need to be reevaluated for effectiveness and capability.
