Okay, just to be sure, none of you guys went to Hunterdale Elementary School and played this game in the computer lab full of iMac G3 computers, right?
Why does everyone avoid cracking the nuts? You can get a whole lot of good things by kicking those those open. It's not like they're bugs; the nuts are your friends!
i just thought of this game again. back like 10 years ago in the 3rd grade class room if we did good we got to take turns playin this. i remember i was the one who figured out that the dragonflies could shoot bubbles cuz i pressed the spacebar when someone else was playing or clicked the mouse or somethin lol.
this game was the fuckin coolest. but some lil prick told me it was on gameboy and really convinced me and i went to toys r us lookin for it with my mom : ( lol
i love how every blocked path in this game can be circumvented. you think that was intentional or are the developers just that retarded? i remembered playing this when i was in a group home wondering this.
Oh... I love bugdom. I hope the old Windows XP my Nana is giving me and my sister will play it. I'm so willing to pay! I have memories of me when I was about 4 drawing pictures of all the bugdom characters at school I was truly obsessed with it! I remember waiting for school to end every day so that I could play it. But it was only when I was about 6 that I ever ran through the whole game in one go. But my mum helped me do it. I love this speedrun! You are amazing!
This brings back memories - I played a bit of this at my elementary school (which had some sort of Power Macs). The computer I had at home was pretty old, so at the time these were the best looking 3D graphics I ever saw. Not sure what specific hardware was required, but whatever.
I remember these Pangea games. They were all so riddled with bugs (no pun intended) that I actually took notice of it at age 12. This game along with Nanosaur is definitely on my top 3 list of worst 3D games of all time :D Superman 64 being number 1.

Bugdom pwns all other classics. I would always get stuck in Lvl 8 because of the stupid fireflies....if only I had known of cheats/glitches! Question- what version do you have? It seems like the graphics aren't as good as the version I played; do the glitches only work in a certain version?

Nice job! I love this game. Used to have it on my old iMac G3 and I'd play it ALL the time. I love the out of bounds glitches, and I also knew the trick in level 9 where you jump on the ceiling, but I didn't know you could jump on the honey/lava! Very cool. Wish I still had this game.
I thought it was a trick to jump over the honey and lava but it wasn't. You cant jump over the honay and lava in the MAC version, because unlike the PC (Windows) version you can just hold the "Jump Key" and it would continue to jump. The Mac version is the only with the inability to do these glitches...
I would have liked to commended you on this, but it's obvious you used the cheat code that lets you swim in the Honey and Lava (believe Me I should know they're instant death once you hit them better than anyone as I fell into them all the time playing this game back in middle school especially with the vines in the Anthill) I would like to see how you fare without the use of something that obviously makes the game easier, true speedruns are done without making a major part of the game *2bcont,*
true speedruns are done without making a major part of the game easier and are done without major handicaps, anyways I can also tell you took a damage a few times (not very much but still one of the keypoints in a speedrun is to not only avoid death but any kind of damage as well) but it was your first attempt and it wasn't half bad, but you still should have left the swim in honey and lava cheat off as to be able to truly improve your skills, who knows, you might get better at the game that way
You are absolutely wrong. If you try it yourself, you'll find that by holding down the Alt key (or just mashing the command key on apple) you can do exactly what I did. Additionally, avoiding death/damage are not the points of a speedrun. Speed is. If taking damage or dying is faster, it will be done.
That said, many of the places I took damage are, in fact, mistakes. But all runs will have some mistakes--it is the nature of things--and there is little need to point out such obvious ones.
Ok sorry of acusing you of it then, but out of all the speedruns I'vce seen on Youtube people usually avoid taking damage all together, anyways I would also like to see a casual playthrough of the game, or at least a walkthrough giving away all the ladybug and blue clover and gold clover locations in each level, I don't care if it has to be split into parts heckI'd even accept a "Let's Play" of the game, I'd do it myself but I lack the game (at the moment) and the proper recording equipment.

I love level 8. It was level 6 that drove me nuts because of the constant buzzing and the honey with the sinking platforms.

I thought it was a trick to jump over the honey and lava but it wasn't. You cant jump over the honay and lava in the MAC version, because unlike the PC (Windows) version you can just hold the "Jump Key" and it would continue to jump. The Mac version is the only with the inability to do these glitches...

not exactly. there are certain tricks and shortcuts in a game that you usually arent supposed to use. lol

I would have liked to commended you on this, but it's obvious you used the cheat code that lets you swim in the Honey and Lava (believe Me I should know they're instant death once you hit them better than anyone as I fell into them all the time playing this game back in middle school especially with the vines in the Anthill) I would like to see how you fare without the use of something that obviously makes the game easier, true speedruns are done without making a major part of the game *2bcont,*

true speedruns are done without making a major part of the game easier and are done without major handicaps, anyways I can also tell you took a damage a few times (not very much but still one of the keypoints in a speedrun is to not only avoid death but any kind of damage as well) but it was your first attempt and it wasn't half bad, but you still should have left the swim in honey and lava cheat off as to be able to truly improve your skills, who knows, you might get better at the game that way

You are absolutely wrong. If you try it yourself, you'll find that by holding down the Alt key (or just mashing the command key on apple) you can do exactly what I did. Additionally, avoiding death/damage are not the points of a speedrun. Speed is. If taking damage or dying is faster, it will be done.
That said, many of the places I took damage are, in fact, mistakes. But all runs will have some mistakes--it is the nature of things--and there is little need to point out such obvious ones.

Ok sorry of acusing you of it then, but out of all the speedruns I'vce seen on Youtube people usually avoid taking damage all together, anyways I would also like to see a casual playthrough of the game, or at least a walkthrough giving away all the ladybug and blue clover and gold clover locations in each level, I don't care if it has to be split into parts heckI'd even accept a "Let's Play" of the game, I'd do it myself but I lack the game (at the moment) and the proper recording equipment.

for jumping across the honey and lava he didnt cheat. i've done this b4 too. you just have to press the jump button quickly, and you can just jump across.

I know, he already told Me, and I apologized for accusing him of cheating, but anyways I don't think I've ever been able to pull that trick off, whenever I would jump in the honey or lava back when I played the game in middle school the second I hit the stuff I would die instantly, sorry but I've never been able to pull off such a trick, anyways I already said I was sorry for accusing him of cheating, theres no reason to drag it out longer, My family drags out fights with Me enough as it is.

I bought it a long time ago. Now, you can download it from the internet (for a price). Just search Bugdom on google, or Bugdom IFD for the Windows version.
