CDs and DVDs, a very flawed design. We were told when CDs first came out, that they were indestructible (what a lie). You only have to put your finger on a CD or DVD to ruin it. Try to play it and it skips, then clean the finger print and it is scratched, which is ruined as far as I am concerned. I don't think CDs and DVDs will still be playable in a hundred or more years, like 78 records and cylinders are. It's a shame you can't make copies, that would keep your DVDs safe , but it's not legal.

how about instead of buying all these stupid cleaners or your cds and dvds you TAKE CARE OF THE DISC FROM DAY ONE TO PREVENT SCRATCHES!! Dont give more money to companies to get rid of scratches in your discs. I have games, cds and movies that ive owned for years and they don't even have one scratch on them.....

He's talking about regular scratches that sometimes happen from regular use, not of a ps3 or xbox360 doing the damage.
