Has any one got photos of Brighton August Bank holiday 1984, must of been 300 or 400 skinheads that day. I was 12 years old & still remember that day, Im 40 now!

Good choice. I am 39 going on 40 and live in the U.S and say, buy all that you can to educate yourself on the skinhead culture, because as time goes on you will have to answer some tough questions based on your appearance. You have to be able to tell someone the true origin of skinheads ( Jamaica, Trinidad ) so they understand what type you are. Media has fucked us in the ass soooo bad on our image and culture so be prepared. But be neutral and not racist.

I know what he means about loving the effect.

I remember walking down a bust street in Glasgow in the early 80's, 10 up Docs, jeans rolled up to the tops, red braces hanging down, green MA1 and a freshly skinned head.

it was like being fucking Moses, it was like parting the red sea.

People just got our your way.

Which was hilarious as I was a soft as shite.

Totally into the music and all but just not a thug.

I was right nice to everyone I met.
