Nice but... Spiritualized were much better with the old lineup. They had alot more soul. They certainly did not need two drummers when they had Damon Reece.
What I really enjoyed was that lack of any video screens. While I really enjoy experimental video art at a concert. It really helped you get into the zone....which is where most Spiritualized music is meant to bring you. Great job on the video. I really enjoyed it. Thanks!
its a really beautiful stage and lighting set. good job with the videoing!
its really nice to notice that all the comments are positive, and it seems to be the way for most of the spiritualized videos, for once on here everyone agrees!
I was at this show. Had goosebumps almost the entire time. They sometimes do 3 hour shows, so I was hoping for more than the 1 encore from Let it Come Down, but still, an amazing show!
Thanks so much for posting these up..I saw them in the Barbican on the 17th and it was so amazing. It was a really special gig.
They finished up with Silent Night that night, dont think there was a dry eye in the house :) we then left the venue to walk out on to a London that was covered in snow. magical night. Please keep these up forever! :)
OH MY LIIIFEE!! i need to go to one of jasons shows, admired him for a few years now, ever since i heard pure phase. and i think alot of the ladies and gentlemen shows are sold out now! my life is incomplete
Did this band ever try their hand at heroin? Lyrics like "warms the dope runnin down my spine" tip me off. I used to be a serious opium addict, and I always seem to find things about Spiritualized's music that remind me of various aspects of the opiate addict's lifestyle. That, or I just have a fucked up brain. Great stuff, though.
"Love in the middle of the afternoon.. just me and my spike in my arm and my spoon".. God how those lyrics resonate inside me. Heroin truly is a tale of two cities.. the best of times and the worst of times. It's songs like this that make me rethink my sobriety.
Yes you're right it's SPOON. This song though, I remember digging it for the first time and being in love with this lady at the time...it was such a gorgeous feeling, I didn't even know it was about heroin at the time. It just sort of crystallized my feelings. J. Spaceman really is a gifted songwriter, just listen to any of his albums.
One of my favorite things to do while I was still in the game was to down a large dose of morphine, snuggle up in my wonderful leather chair, and grab a dusty tome from my father's old library.. I recall reading The Hound of the Baskervilles (though barely able to comprehend a word), not caring if I read the same page thrice over. How I miss those days.

Battery life is fine when just taking pictures but HD movies do eat batteries. I got a spare battery for 30 quid
