  • I'm sure it could be made more dangerous, I just don't see how.

  • are you planning on manufacturing this machine? can you make one that takes whole tree trunks?

  • looks dangerous.

  • Could you make a vid showing how it is made, and how it works?

Did you make the cutting drum yourself, of did it come of something else?

    Great machine!

  • Loved the helical log cutter. Brilliant design.

  • very clever indeed

  • OMG that is the rub goldberg version of a log splitter

  • un po pericoloso ma veloce....

  • try your leg!

  • I am inspired, really nice work ;-)

  • Wow, this is impressive.

    You' r a genius.

  • wow thanx very much for sharing.

it looks like an very good machine.

i got to find the right stuff to build me one myself

  • All of this homemade splitters are just disasters waiting to happen... Unbelievably dangerous!!!

  • @SuburbanMotorSports All exept for this one! This looks just as safe as conventional log splitters that you buy in the store, just 10x times more efficient!

If i find the stuff needed i'm building one myself. That guy is a genius!

  • . . . . says the guy selling commercial log splitters.

Everything in life doesn't have to be idiot-proofed. You just need to be a little smarter than the machine.

  • w kurwę dobre,patent na ślimak w chuj!

  • ciekawa maszyna ,takiej mi brakuje do kolekcji

  • DUDE THAT IS FUCKING COOL!!!.

I GOTTA GET ME ONE OF THOSE IT WOULD MAKE MY WORK A HELL OF ALOT EASY!!.

  • Now put your finger into the blades!

  • Most interesting small log preocssor i`v ever seen using a splitter & shear combo

I noticed the augar is for larger logs on other end of the old truck axle

  • Prolly the best unit I've ever seen.

    10/10

  • Totally cool!

  • Wow. That is so good idea. Cutting wood at the size, and in the same time splinter. Very clever. Good work!

  • ai niin pitää vielä kysyä että onko siinä Scanian taka-akselissa lukkoperä, kun toinenkin pää akselista pyörii samaansuuntaan, eihän tuo sydeemi vois muuten toimia? vai oletko hitsannut perämurikan pysyvästi lukkoon?

  • @siviili2003: Kaikki perän pikkurattaat on hitsattu yhteen, siksi molemmat akselit pyörivät ja kestävät vääntöä.

  • Now thís is an impressive machine! Perfect for home owners with some small piece of Forrest.

  • Awesome ... You have a nice set up. Like to see more on the conveyor belt. I want to build one. Thanks for the post !

  • Greatest idea yet for proccesing smaller limbs. Would be excelent for making gasifier fuel. My hat is off to Finnish ingenuity!

  • I wish I knew how to say "Awesome" and "Genius" in Finland talk. Finlandese. Finlandian. Whatever. This setup rules. I want to make one now.

  • Thats awesome

  • DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!!

  • Wow! Don't get your arm in that thing!

  • now thats how u produce some shity firewood.

  • This is one most efficient wood splitters i've seen on Youtube, or anywhere else for that matter! A very kreative design.

  • WOW!!! I'm impressed (& jealous)!!! What an innovative set-up, &, all that is powered by (only) a 3Kw motor. Stunned I am!! Grrreat job!!! How's about a complete listing of the electric aspect (specs), please?? Like, how long is the cord, what gage, 110 or 220v mtr, Hp, etc., etc. Thx a lot!

  • that is a cool wood splitter/cutter. how thick of wood can it take? what are you using for the cutting drum? what ga steel?

  • @1crazyfocker: max diameter for wood is arround 6", any regular lumber, but harder wood like oak goes as well. I'm not sure about the exact nature of the steel used in the cutting drum (but it's weldable and slightly harder than normal.. stainless steel will do). Drum wall is about 6-10mm thick. This thing has worked about 15 years now. Only thing I had to repair once, was the gear box. :)

  • in soviet russia, wood splits you

  • @scheissaufGOOG2E chuck norris split soviet union, can split you AND wood AND do a split while eating a banana split.

  • The big curved blade shown in the second part of the video looks like a really good way to lose an arm. And what's the deal with sticking the log on the cone on the end at the begninning ? I don't understand so many things...

  • @junior2004hasz Hi The other side log is 4 safety, sens its a differential iff getting stuck the cuterotationside, on the other side (logside) will split the log and then the power will go lost on cutting side. (As a car will lose traction on one the ice side...)

  • @GamelsmurfXXX still sounds dangerous.

  • @junior2004hasz All machines are, a car , bike, its all about howe u work it...

  • looks like your making wood chips

    not firewood

  • @firewoodguy2009: the "wood chips" are intentional, and ment for gasfication purposes. Firewood is not a problem though (as you can see from the end of the video), the feeder can choose the length.

  • thats so cool

  • What motor are you using to power it? Also what rearend?

  • @MrLeonard55: 3kW, 800 rpm. The rearend is from Scania truck.

  • Where can i get one?

  • Unfortunately they're not made anywhere, as this one is 100% original. But I suppose you can get somewhat similar machines.

  • definetly gonna make one

  • A brilliant idea for gasification...

  • Never seen one like that before nice work!

  • Wow man that shear thing is bad ass you could bust out some serious kindling with that thing !!!

  • you sir are a geinus

  • Good thinking love nto see people useing there brain

  • This is a great machine! I love the original thinking!

  • Be very careful with the rotary chopper! It's very easy to become complacent and lose an arm in that thing! I know all about that! Cheers! Lefty.....

  • neat looking machine. why are you cutting the wood so small though?

  • The small ones are for woodgas truck.

  • @quafka What is a woodgas truck?

  • A truck run by gas produced from biomass (like wood) by thermal gasification.
