People claim they're unoriginal because they're too closely tied to Daft Punk as well as the other artists on Ed Banger. They are original. They do take cues from a lot of other people, as everyone else does. Of course other bands on Ed Banger and Justice sound similar to Daft Punk in some ways, Busy P runs Ed Banger. He was their manager. Not to mention the whole flame they get for that one usb incident.
