@Germania6628 Unfortunately, they were under orders of Chinese government through HKSAR government. After 2047 police force may no longer used British style - instead Chinese police will take over.

It's interesting to see elements of a standard military parade mixed with police elements including the police vehicles " driving on " and later the police dogs. My favourites though are the beautiful Policewomen, who perform a great " About-Turn " at 1:45; and they look lovely in their beige / pale yellow short sleeved " bush jackets " and centre pleated skirts. However I wouldn't say so for the commands. Hong Kong gives their commands in English. Whereas, Malaysia and Singapore gives it in the Malay language.
My father was an RHKP. Proud of these guys. I am very very impressed with the individual strive to perfection by ever office on parade. I have watched all 7 episodes and haven't seen a single person who isn't perfect in their personal foot drill.
British CHECKING FORWARD MOTION TOO~ Some officer I saw, when they are inspected, their second last pace is a 15 inch checking forward motion. It's beautiful!

Love the parade, inspects and especially their rifle.
No matter it's Royal Hong Kong Police or Hong Kong Police, they're still representing HK and serving HK as a paramilitary force.
As of the UK term "Royal" meant british soldier but HK now is no longer the British.
No matter what their uniform is, they're still doing the same job.
