The ref could have done a much better announcement. That's a once in a lifetime chance to announce the hometeam won like that when the ruling on the field was no. Even a no word walk to the middle of the field and a TD arm-raise signal would have been powerful. Boo to the ref.

i am a Georgia Tech Fan and i admit that they are overated, and so is all of the ACC. Clemson was super overated being 5th ranked in the nation, but some people have to agree that teams in the big 10 are overated and every team in the sec besides Alabama, Lsu, and i guess Arkansas. But most of the teams that are high ranked are overated because they play shitty teams and win and get good ranks. THATS WHY THERE SHOULD B A PLAYOFF. WITHOUT A PLAYOFF, WE DONT NO WHO ACTUALLY IS THE #1 TEAMS IS.
I will admit that the SEC is the best conference overall but to say that ANY team in the SEC would beat any team in the Big Ten, are you high? I wish Michigan State played teams like Ole Miss, Tennessee and Mississippi State. Not to mention Georgia (in my opinion the best team in the East) got handled by Boise State. I just don't understand how some people who are fans of schools in the SEC root for their entire conference. Hell would freeze over before I ever cheered for Michigan or OSU.

I have yet to see a replay directly on the goal line. It would have shown that the ball NEVER did cross the goal line. ABC angle was not DIRECTLY on the goal line so the idiot press box official didn't have the angle to overturn the call on the field by officials who WERE in the perfect position to see it. No way did he have "indisputible visual evidence to overturn the ruling on the field". That is the key point. The ruling was no TD. There lacked any "indisputible visual evidence".

I would like to point out the sportsmanship of both teams after the game. Within seconds after the touchdown is announced you see members of both teams shaking hands. Devastation and elation are put aside for respect. That is good for MSU's image after all the talk of foul play vs U-M. The Wisconsin players were also mature in their defeat. @tamzokes That's just bitterness. Anyone can point out missed penalties in a football game. The refs can't see everything. I was screaming for holding on one of Wisconsin's touchdowns. The amount of time that Wilson had to pass all game long points to at least a few missed holds. Referees are inherently flawed because they are human. But no referee intentionally favors a team. I have been both a referee and an umpire.
I don't think there was evidence to overturn. Wisconsin fans should be upset. But heres the positive. You can still win out and possibly play this team again. I truly believe wis is much better than msu. They can still make the rose. I no that's not a nat ship but lets be real the sec lsu and bama are the best teams

There should be a playoff series among the top 4 teams, or a 3 team bracket plus two wild card teams playing for the final 4th place in the playoff.

Because I don't think they deserve to go into big bowl games for playing un-ranked small schools like Eastern Carolina and others. They should go up against LSU, Florida, Michigan, ect. That would lower the amount of unbeaten teams. BUt in a sport that has over 100 teams, at least 3-4 will go unbeaten
@santran Don't you think a 1 loss Bama, Stanford, Oklahoma State, or LSU team would still be ranked higher than Wisconsin because of strength of schedule alone? So the chances of Wisconsin getting a national title invitation are slim to none.

He left 1/2 second early and this is why the shuffle pass worked a blatant no call. I'm a Georgia Tech fan, and I was in a funk all day from seeing us play like crap. This game made up for that, it was one of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen. Not even just that play, the entire fourth quarter was incredible.
Great game.... Not so sure there was "indisputable evidence" to overturn the ruling on the field.. but I think they got the call right in the end. from what I seen the ball at least hit the plane.

i am a Georgia Tech Fan and i admit that they are overated, and so is all of the ACC. Clemson was super overated being 5th ranked in the nation, but some people have to agree that teams in the big 10 are overated and every team in the sec besides Alabama, Lsu, and i guess Arkansas. But most of the teams that are high ranked are overated because they play shitty teams and win and get good ranks. THATS WHY THERE SHOULD B A PLAYOFF. I will admit that the SEC is the best conference overall but to say that ANY team in the SEC would beat any team in the Big Ten, are you high? I wish Michigan State played teams like Ole Miss, Tennessee and Mississippi State. Not to mention Georgia (in my opinion the best team in the East) got handled by Boise State. I just don't understand how some people who are fans of schools in the SEC root for their entire conference. Hell would freeze over before I ever cheered for Michigan or OSU.

I have yet to see a replay directly on the goal line. It would have shown that the ball NEVER did cross the goal line. ABC angle was not DIRECTLY on the goal line so the idiot press box official didn't have the angle to overturn the call on the field by officials who WERE in the perfect position to see it. No way did he have "indisputible visual evidence to overturn the ruling on the field". That is the key point. The ruling was no TD. There lacked any "indisputible visual evidence".

I would like to point out the sportsmanship of both teams after the game. Within seconds after the touchdown is announced you see members of both teams shaking hands. Devastation and elation are put aside for respect. That is good for MSU's image after all the talk of foul play vs U-M. The Wisconsin players were also mature in their defeat. The amount of time that Wilson had to pass all game long points to at least a few missed holds. Referees are inherently flawed because they are human. But no referee intentionally favors a team. I have been both a referee and an umpire.

Upon further reveiw. . this play NEVER should have happened! On the 3rd and 8 shuffle pass MSU converted their left guard had a false start!! He left 1/2 second early and this is why the shuffle pass worked a blatant no call. I'm a Georgia Tech fan, and I was in a funk all day from seeing us play like crap. This game made up for that, it was one of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen. Not even just that play, the entire fourth quarter was incredible.

As a Hawkeye fan, I definitely know what its like to win a game on the final play (sorry Michigan State, 2009.) This game was epic. Congrats, Sparty!

Great game.... Not so sure there was "indisputable evidence" to overturn the ruling on the field.. but I think they got the call right in the end. from what I seen the ball at least hit the plane.
