@jackl45 the PKP is the upgraded and modernized and lighter version of the PKM. it's made to serve mainly as an LMG less as stationary machine gun. the main difference between PKP (also called Pecheneg) and PKM are that the PKP has a non-removable barrell. instead it has these cooling rings attached to it.

OP question: why does codemasters even try to compete with bohemia using the game series bohemia made and made famous. Codemasters tries to rake in the profits and lie to the consumer. Why would u work for a company like this?

@masterkorn because consoles dont have an another military sim. but i bet you dont care. because not everyone can afford a good pc which can run arma 2. good for you that yours can. but im left with this crappy laptop which lacks everything! id like to have a good sim on my xbox. and OFP are the only ones to choose from. but i understand why bohemia wont port arma to consoles. mainly because the hardware wouldnt be able to handle it. consoles have 512 ram (both ps3 and 360). no way.

@ZaRiF215YTACC You say that the framerate in the old PS3 build was worse than the 360 at this stage. However, some recently-released 360 footage has shown some pretty major framerate issues in many scenes even in THAT version.

Does that mean that the PS3 was difficult to play at times, because of the framerate?

I also loved Dragon Rising on PS3, although I am luck enough to own a XBOX360 also...question is which machine is best for Red River as I can only just afford one version? Any comments?

@Worther12 Hi Worther, they're all equally brilliant but I'd say the Xbox 360 will be a better experience.. but this is purely based on the fact that I played a newer build (on the 360) and a older PS3 build.
