He's certainly improving, and I'd say he's playing rather well atm. His performances in the Europa League this season have been fantastic, lets hope he can follow those performances up in the premier league and Europa League next season.

I am going to apologise in advance for swearing.....so sorry guys but Lucas fucking dog shit. Someone told me recently to check his opta index and he is second in the table for pass completion. Fair enough but hen you study him all his passes are 2 yard passes to the left, right or backwards. He has not pace, cant control, no vision, shit off the ball n his reaction is so slow. When he gets the ball it takes him an eternaty to control, look up and pass and usually he gets closed down.

alright here are some stats for you.....2nd in the league in passes completed, 3rd in the league in tackle percentage.....he played the ball to ngog in the man utd game, he played the ball towards torres against blackburn, and when yakubu shrugged off insua against everton, lucas was the one who stopped him from having a wide open shot at reina....he plays harder than any player on the team, and if you would go to the games you would see he is class at off the ball movement

I must say i was with the critics about a week ago, i was anyoyed with rafa and choice to play Lucas, but i think he has won me over after that game against Man U, God willing he will provide liverpool with more lots more great performances in the future, He was my MVP choice even though he did face tough contenders,he broke down the Man U midfield the way an expierenced EPL midfilder would. I hate lucas very very very much. But i think it's unfair to blame him for all of our 3 league defeats. Yes he sucks, and rafa should just stop playing him.
Bellamy, Crouch, Keane, all this 3 strikers were not given the same amount of chance this lucas has been given. Somehow, sissoko seems better than him.
RAFA, take lucas out, put kuyt upfront, riera benayoun at the wings, gerrard mash till aquilani comes back. Simple managing rafa, so so simple.

It's not unfair to blame him for the defeats - it's retarded. Lucas has played well this season, and there's plenty of players more to blame for our stuttering start than him.

Errr..lets see. One major change between Liverpool this season and last... Alonso leaves, Lucas replaces him
Liverpool in league (38 games) with Alonso last season = 2 defeats
Liverpool in league (9 games in) with Lucas this season = 4 defeats
Because Lucas has zero ability and is stealing a living as a footballer = mass ridicule. Feeling sorry for him is a bigger insult. Liverpools 5th defeat this season at Fiorentina, was the 1st time in YEARS that a Liverpool team was outclassed

And that's entirely because of Lucas is it? He's one of our better players and yer he's till the centre of 5 defeats. What about the loss of form of Carragher and a semi-fit Skrtel? Sure Alonso's leaving has a big impact, but it probably would do if we had Xavi, Pirlo, Scholes, anyone stepping into his shoes. Why can't it be just that Alonso's left, rather than the fact that it's Lucas playing instead?

Uhmm.. way to be so simple and miss the obvious.
What is Carra doing this season for the first time in years??? Yep.. hes LAUNCHING the ball forward giving it straight back to the opposition (this invites more attacks) or even trying to bring the ball out of defence himself. Why???? because theres no Alonso anymore who used to sit right infront of him and take the ball of him. Its the worst kept secret that the players dont trust Lucas on the ball. Lucas is a cancer in this team.
