I have a goddamned computer for email and since I'm literate, I don't need to be read to. I just thought this device was much better in design than its competition.
I don't get the color screen at the bottom of the device. I still would get the kindle over this simply because it has keyboard. but if your looking for more freedom get the jetbook.
Not bad. I'd like to get a reader because I hate holding books open when I'm laying in bed. I wonder how well it's gonna do if it's just as hard to get a hold of older books. And can you load books that you physically own onto it? I'm really new to the whole concept so I'll have to wait until it comes out I guess.
No, beacuse traditional books made of paper are cheaper or equaly priced. That's just ridicilous to pay same amount of money and get less. And belive me, I understand basics of economics, you don't need to explain how process of buying things works, and why I have to pay for something. Think before you write.
First of all your a Pollack and second of all your not even old enough to know what economics is. Try buying a book first to see how much it cost's compared to the e-books.
exactly right, I hate these morons who think books should be a dollar and movies too. Artists break their asses to create this stuff and this smuck wants it for free
@kuktafonisko Printing, poligraphy, paper, binding, glue, etc. is a TINY part of the cost. Most of it is so that the author, editor, publisher and all actually GET money.
@kuktafonisko um so are you saying the writer who spent countless hours working on the book you are reading that will entertain you for day or even weeks, doesnt deserve $10?
if you watch movies at a movie theatre, you spend on avg about $20 for 1-2 hours of entertainment, what is the better deal?
2 question about nook:
1 - when i read can i turn-off the color-screen?
2 - i can change size of the font only in the epub, or also in the pdf format?
thanks
bye bye

@Raven544
you can't load books you own onto it unless you scan every page and email it to the email address they give you,
oh wait, that's the kindle you can do that with, not the nook
and you can check your email with the kindle too

"...and this is my nook."
Aww, she's only talking about the ebook reader. Damn.

10$ for an ebook! that's bullshit, cause you only pay for a file - no printing, poligraphy, paper etc... TOO MUCH FOR A FILE!
kuktafonisko 2 years ago 10
Your paying for someones hard work. Someone took their time to create the readed word and you call it a file.
