@Freez57fr No we know for a fact that we are there for oil. But simply saying that we did went to war for not being capitalist is bullshit, and neither him nor you have presented plausible evidence.
Now even thougn OccupationFront's channel is closed now this is what he has left nehind in my arguement with him or her. "but those who refuse to work, and what do they get in return? Not much." what he/she describes ina Capitalist society. Well yes, those who refuse to work get nothing, and that's the way it should be. Honestly if you choose to sit on your ass all day and do nothing why should you get paid? The answer, you shouldn't.
This video is a fucking joke. Saying that we invaded Latin America to keep them from turning scoialist without any sources or proof to back you up is a fallacy.
chastised, more like, not baptized! This is called SELF-DEPRECATION. JEWISH Humour is a bit like irish self humour. we can laugh at ourselves. but if OTHERS laugh at us, we might not like it! Still, isn't there a big difference between laughing AT someone and laughing WITH them? People who give out jokes have difficulty laughing at THEMSELVES yet they can laugh at you or me or everyone else, but not at themselves. Strange, is it not?
money means greed, greed, greed, whether you are a socialist or a capitalist, a catholic, protestant, muslim, jew etc. But moneyis NOT what starts war. Greed starts war. power starts wars. even people who live in poor areas want power and if they get promotion in a job, they become snobs. NO, MONEY DOES NOT CAUSE WAR OR GREED. people cause war and greed. REPEAT: people!!
Got that? Good! Now let's all become humanists and atheists and agnostics.
@platipot - i am not american, i am european from the state of SOUTHERN ireland of which the capital is NOT Dublin but, in fact, Blaw Clee! i say this because belfast is our other capital city, Northern Ireland)>
GOTTA JOKE FOR YOUR! How did elvis presley die? They got quincy, the tv coroner, in to do the autopsy and he found out elvis died of woodworm in his wooden heart! if you don't mind, i prefer dirty, filthy jokes. I was baptized a Catholic, you see.
@platipot Your not going to get an asnwer, his account doesn't exist anymore, also don't bother with him, I have a feeling he/she doesn't understand how markets work.
Surely the ONLY way to end the exploitation of the working classes in America and elsewhere (forget china) would be to introduce COMPULSORY LABOUR/TRADE UNIONISM in EVERY workplace? The introduce COMPULSORY co-op or semi-co-op? That way, everyone would get a fair wage/salary at the end of the year.
the lowest people on the planet (aka blue collars) do not want to be liberated. they only want to go to jail because that is a social status thing for them. Why not put something into their beer to render them INFERTILE and reduce the number of ignoramuses on the planet. It is cheaper than abortion, honest to God, and we could save a lot on hothouse gas. Capitalism, meanwhile, has no loyalty whatsoever.
@OccupationFront In a Capitalist society the rich get bail-out? How so? In a true Free Market, a business either thrives or fails. The rich either get richer, or go broke trying. You do not need my endorsement yes, and unlike you I am grown up, I'm not the one call your arguement a lie without and proof to back it up. The Government should have NO business interveaning in the free market.
@OccupationFront Forcing people to contribute is fascism, no matter how you slice it. Tell me, who is to say what surplus is? Cause who is to say what the perfect amount of money is? The surplus should go to me, the worker, cause I earned it, not have it stolen from me. Your pure democracy was a nice idea that I once believed but it won't work. Too many people have diverse ideas. You cannot force everyone to agree on something, so your idea of democracy will fail.
@OccupationFront ....And your right, in a socialist society I don't give, I am forced to give, and or stolen from by a strong central government. You know, I support the Occupy protests since week 1, and I always worried about you all demanding a Marxist solution. Don't worry, I won't associate others with your economicly suicidal ideas. But if it turn out a vast majority are like you, I will no longer support you.
@OccupationFront Are you kidding me? People are taxed on their incomes to pay for the lazy and irresponsiable people of society, aka, those who are on government Welfare. Our tax dollars don't go to the rich, the go to the government who spends them on social programs you dunce! A socialist soceity is about Eqaul work for Eqaul pay correct? Also, Socialism cannot have a free market. It is stricly against Marxist code. European Socialism is just Big Gov. Capitalism BTW.
@OccupationFront Incoherent? How so? Your dismissing my arguements without providing any facts, which would make you just like every other marxist I argue with. You do have a chocie, you can choice to work, or choose not to. I used the prehistoric society as an example because that's the way every society is. Why should the working have to pay for the lazy and irresponsialbe? Also, your plutocrats theroy, HAHAHA!!! Ok, if a small group of people controls the work place, name them. All of them.
@OccupationFront ...continued. Yes, work or starve. That's life. Even in Prehistoric societies that was the case. Hunt/Contribute, or starve. You realize and an employee you can quit whenever you like right? Therefore the choice eliminates it being called "Slave Labor". Slaves had no choice, employees do. If I earn my money through my own labor, and I don't want to use it in a socialist way, then that's my choice, cause I earned it.
@OccupationFront Capitalism is what made people like Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg, and your idol Michael Moore rich. Don't forget, they were once ordinary people like us. Also, how much taxes do you think Bill Gates pays? See our government says the rich make most of the profits but neglect to tell us where most of our taxes come from, which is the rich and corporations. Your really going to demonize Bill for only giving what you see as a small amount? Is anything at all not enough?
@OccupationFront Slave labor? Haha I heard this arguement before and my response will always be the same. People get up in the morning and go to their jobs on their own free wills, no one is holding a gun to their heads forcing them to. Sure they do it mostly to make money and sustian a lifestyle but that's life. I suppose you aren't aware of the Bill and Melinda Gates fund are you? Sure, Bill could do that. But it's his money, he earned it honestly, so who are you to tell him what to do with it
@OccupationFront A mechanic should only be hired, otherwise how would you know he's good at his job? Tell me, should Doctors and Surgeons be elected to? Bill Gates changed that world, without him we wouldn't be arguing right now. Capitalism hoards? I though I was the one missing the point.....Capitalism encourages competition.
@OccupationFront All those possesions you speak of, where do they come from huh? Oh yeah that's right, they came from other people who earned them. If I give you $10, it's free money to you but it really isn't free, I had to lose that $10 in order for you to have that $10. Socialist countries have not been this way in the past, and I doubt it will be in the furture. Socialism is nothing more than a utopic society.
@OccupationFront Human progress was brought about what it is todau cause of Capitalism. I'm not going to say people were motivated to improve conditions souly cause of money, cause that part isn't true. Some people due it to prove something. But most of society gets out of bed in the morning with an incentive to make money and sustain a good stable lifestyle.
@OccupationFront Sorry, ugnore the first part of my first comment. It was wrong of me to assume that kind of thing without knowing you. Allow me to rephrase. You argue that Capitalism is collectivism and Socialism is Indivdualism. And that in my opinion is wrong. Capitalism encourages economic freedom and competition. Do you think these big corporations want competition? No, so it isn't capitalism. Socialism is collectivism because it's about robinhood.
@OccupationFront That long statement shows that you must have never held a job in the private sector. I mean, I have yet to enter the work force. But honestly, do you really want your mechanic to be elected and not be hired based on experience? Also, you are aware that the boss o f company or small business does a lot of work right? Like the Police Cheif, he doesn't get a lot of action on the street but he handles all the boring stuff. And people like Bill Gates are rich because the earned it.
@OccupationFront One persons pocket? That's never been the way it goes in business. The employee split the profits. Simple as that. I'm also getting the feeling that you still don't understand what true Capitalism is.
@OccupationFront What bullcrap. If you and me own a company, and Gosh I sure hope me and other people never own a company publicly, then it's PUBLIC porperty. Kind of hard to have provate ownership of something that's public no? Monarchies and dictatorships? Your too funny, Capitalism encourages competition through economic freedom. What you see today isn't Capitalism if there is a lack of competition. You think people like Monsanto want competition? No, therefore it isn't Capitalism.
@CyberTechWolf Although techinally speaking, there are companies that are publically owned today, they are owned by Shareholders, you know, the people who risk a shit ton of their own money for reward.
@OccupationFront Marxism calls for a claim of equal ownership of property and money right? (Note that if you attempt to dispute that you'll be going against what Marx himself wrote.) Well say some people aren't going to give up their property, then force must be used to steal it, and a Government needs toltaltarian powers to do that. Also, I doubt your MoaRebelNews is reliable, seeing as how it goes against what every other major and minor scource has to say.
@OccupationFront Funny how you knock on me for calling marxist leaders fascist dictators like they are, but you act like it's nothing to knock on Capitalism by claiming that fascism is right-wing. So your only defenese is to claim that history is made up by the "evil" right-wingers, tisk tisk tisk, I expected more from you. So what, I'm supposed to just prentend there was no violence or killing? Also Marxism is fascist since stealing peoples money and property requires toltaltarian powers
@OccupationFront My Ignorance betrays me? Ok Darth Vader, 30 millions might be exaggerated or rounded up but what then, do you have a better explination as to what happened to those people? Or is Stalin a hero for suppresing us "evil" capitalists. And as for Moa vs Chiang Kai Shek, do you really think he had a choice? If you learned history you'd see that as a military leader he was fighteing a two-sided war. A war to fend off the invading Japanese, and the violent Communists.
@OccupationFront Only after WWII? So Stalin was a hero for killing an estimated 30 Million people? Going down as the biggest mass murderer in history? And even outside Russia, what about China and Moa Zadong? Or in Romania with Nicolae Ceauşesa? Your forgetting that the Communist Manifesto itself even says to overthrow the current government and install a dictator.
@OccupationFront The people own the means? Oh I see, you meant as in that People are the Government crap. Please, even in Communist Russia there was still a ruling class. "The control of resources, and the means of production ( factories, real estate...) in the hands of the few, to the detriment of the many." So in other words you just admitted that a marxist society is not only fascist, but, controlled by a single few.
But we can not forget, that Capitalism was not born with the society, it was implanted by men. If men can implant Capitalism, why can't men remove it and implant the socialism instead i ask?
Is Socialism better than Capitalism? Absolutely, but its utopic. The chaces of it working are pretty small. The life in Soviet Russia during the socialist period was hard, but the advantage was that everyone had the necessary, without having more than they really needed. Also, this life style is way better than the one that the poor, and poorest of all the poors have. However, the implantation of this would be almost impossible
@alepiresjr I agree with you. I'm a Capitalist myself and I do think Socialism on paper works great. But it working to it's full potential stays on paper. It's nearly impossible to get it to work realistically. In communist Russia people were starving. The powerful still ruled over the comoners. So I'll stick with what realistically works best.
@CyberTechWolf Communism =/= Socialism, so bunching in socialism with communism is kind of idiotic. And since you started off stupid I think I'll wait for you to concede that point.
@SocialDissimulation They are different yes, for example, Socialism doesn't involve installing a facists dictator. I like how according to you, I'm "stupid" automatically because I'm not a marxist like you. So let's hear your Michael Moore kool-aid Capitalism slander, so I can get on with my arguement.
@CyberTechWolf Fascism is right-wing, first and foremost and anti-communist and anti-socialism. Fascism is ultra-nationalism which is antithetical to what socialism advocates which is: group-decision making that removes supranatural instances like religion, ethnicity, race, culture, class and education. Fascism clearly cannot exist in a civilization that removes those things when making decisions.
@SocialDissimulation Fascism is right-wing? According to who? And what qaulifies them to make that kind of judgement. Also, fascism would be Left-Wing if anything. A marxist society cannot guarentee complete theft of the peoples money and property without toltaltarian powers. Marxism tends to have a controlled economy, that's fascism no matter how you slice it. So spare me the right-wing card.
@CyberTechWolf Militarism, anti-homosexuality, family values, nationalism, are not left wing. "Fascism was founded during World War I by Italian national syndicalists who mixed left-wing and right-wing political views, fascism moved to the right in the early 1920s. Left includes social liberals, social democrats, socialists, communists and some anarchists. The Right includes conservatives, libertarians, plutocrats, reactionaries, capitalists, monarchists and fascists." - Wikipedia.
@SocialDissimulation Well ok then, I'm still not sure what qaulifies that person to say it but whatever. Looks like you left out some details on your statement. Yes, Mussolini was the original fascist, and from what I rememebr he was a hardcore leftist. Violent too, he was even killed by his own people.
@CyberTechW The way to figure out 'left' from 'right' is typically done through the collective vs. the individual. The original fascists did indeed have a mixed-bag, but fascism -did- move toward the right. Look at it this way: If only the top 1% have the capacity to partake in a free-market, while the rest is completely directed, then does that make that market capitalist? Absolutely not. So if only a certain group takes part in socialist policies -- it can't be called socialist. Antithetical.
@SocialDissimulation Look, left, right, up, or down I really don't care. Either way marxist leaders have been fascist. Your correct, only the 1% taking part in the market isn't capitalism, but corporatism. Something you forget is that the Communist Manifesto calls for installing a dictator. Rememebr that early on in Communist Russia that people were starving. Also if what you want is European Socialism, know that it isn't socialism, but Big Government Capitalism.
@CyberTechWolf Do you know who the dictator is supposed to be? The people. The people are supposed to be the dictatorship. And that is exactly right, it's never been a true socialist leader, because a group of people have never run their own nation. Fascists have been -- in their own accord -- right-wing despots. The only reason people ever call into question whether or not it's left is because it is falsely associated with revolution.
@SocialDissimulation Was Stalin right wing? Mao Zadong? More of this people stuff, please, Lenin and Staling were indeed one man dictators. Perhaps the misinterupted it, nevertheless this is what a dictator is. You can argue that its right wing all you want, but that doesn't help your case at all against Capitalism. Please explain to me how a Free Market system which encourages competition is bad? Hmm?
@SocialDissimulation Ok look, let me ask you this. Who decides whats right and whats left? If I'm a Democrat and I'm a Capitalist where do I go? How about Libertarians? Cause I can tell you, as one, I have right-wing beliefs but we are nor Left or Right. So who are you or I to decide what's left and what's right? If I'm a Capitalist does that automatically make me fascist? I guess it was wrong of me to assume. But please answer me.
@CyberTechWolf Stalin - Right Wing. Lenin - Right Wing. Mao - Right Wing. Mao was iconoclastic and nationalistic -- both tenets are antithetical to socialism and left-wing methodology since the collective is absolute. Economics has -very- little to do with the morality of left and right. This is like when The Democratic Republic of Korea calls itself a Democratic Republic. That you stamp a description of yourself on a movement does not make it true.
@SocialDissimulation Hm, come to think of it, I thought you said Fascism was a mix of both right and left wing. But never mind this arguement. You still have yet to ste how it is that Marxism is better than Capitalism.
@CyberTechWolf It started out that way, but gravitated toward the right in the 1920s. And I have never said that I was a Marxist, Marx said he wasn't a Marxist, why would I?
@SocialDissimulation Marx not a Marxist? What the hell! What's next, the sky is Coral and the Grass is Megenta? Ok, so if you aren't a Marxist (Socialist or Communist) then what are you? Why would Marx write a book describing his ideal society if he didn't believe any of it? Was it all just a cruel joke?
@CyberTechWolf I am not a Marxist. - Karl Marx , the ideologies attributed to him were additions and propaganda. A lot of his message was corrupted by brands that made the claim but exhibited none of the attributes. I would consider myself a socialist to an extent. That is to say that I prefer a nation to disregard: race, class, religion, culture or education. I would love to see a shift away from all things paper and one based on merit instead.
The ideal society, in my opinion, is a republic that mixes free enterprise with some socialist elements. Pure socialism is undesirable, in my opinion, and even if it's driven by noble ideals, it tends to go awry pretty easily. It's important to help the poor, to empower the worker, to put some limits on big business, to give people more leisure time and improve their quality of life, but I still think the right to do business is important.
but human beings are naturaly good (i know that sounds sentimental) and if brought up with socialism, they will in most cases embrace equality... racism, xenophobia, sexism ect are all enviromental, babies aren't born like that.
i love how america always seem to attack other nations for what they say as "National Interest" when the only people who actually gain anything are the rich and wealthy, in fact the C.I.A. helped MAKE a DICTATORSHIP in the country of my father, there is a reason why latin american had have a nickname for americans, GRINGO or the spainish way of saying "GREEN GO", americans should realise that there is a world outside their paradise.
@CyberTechWolf unemployment happens becuase people usually dont have the "ability" or "education" to have the careers they want, if a rich person gets into a university and a poor person cant but is smarter than the rich person the poor person cant get into university because he cant pay the cost of university. So in the end the entire community has to deal with it because the smart person cant become a doctor while the stupid rich person becomes the only doctor.
@TheChileanMapuche On the contrary, in a true catpitalist society without government intervention, the poor are more advantaged than the rich. Cause the poor have what the rich don't, a true sense of value for money. The poor learn to live within thier means, and when entering the workforce can simply ask for a lower wage cause they know how to live with little money. And when they become experinced enough or save enough, then they climb the corprate ladder.......
@TheChileanMapuche ........continued, Unemployment happens because smaller buisinesses cannot thrive due to a strong practice of corpratism. One other thing. In regaurds to education, yes, it is rather sad that our society actually believe something as worhtless as a college degree actually is, is the key to success and that without one you will have no successful future. When thats not true. Well nice talking to ya!
@CyberTechWolf well thank you for that comment, but if equality can be acheived then the result can be better because then poverty can truly be eliminated. Because poverty is a comparison between the different class groups so once that is eliminated many other social problems can be fixed since all people are at an equal level. I still believe that humans are capable of more trust, the only thing holding people back from embracing socialism is an ability to simply understand one another.
@TheChileanMapuche Well I don't mean to sound synical but if your looking at Socialism to obtain equality then your looking into it for all the wrong reasons. First off, the Rich will simply pay off the Government to leave thier money alone. Second, if not by the amount of wealth you have, the people will judge you based on your political power, race, skin color, height, weight, ect. People will always find a way to seperate themselves. Poverty will always exist, even in Marxism.
Socialism could work, and socialism should work. My only problem is that people (excuse my lack of sophisticated grammar) are just outright "bad." They would exploit the system as much as possible to do as little as possible and so on as you probably have heard... perhaps you can enlighten me some?
@capitals4life1 arondeus has already explained that he doesn't believe people are greedy by nature. Somehow he has come to the conclusion that the human greed you have experienced in your lifetime is a direct byproduct of the capitalist system.
@snarfels I definitely disagree with you. If we weren't greedy by nature, then any form of government would work. Socialism sounds great, but not until we get into the aspects of the whole ideal is when it dysfunctional.
@vicesquad08 No way i totally agree it's a rediculous idea. I've spent lots of time countering arondeus's ideas so i thought i'd throw some out there so someone else could try and debunk them too.
XD look at this socialist are trying blame the capitalist for what commies did on cold war.
Dont be sad africa could be better but if it wasnt the dictators and the interests of both countries africa
1989 do you know why USA invaded Panama you dumbfuck
jeez at least try to tell the truth
And 1 more thing Socialism is a complete lie because i live on socialist country and i see people receiving support of the state having a good life when the people that works hard dont receive money
@franciscolpo1 I bet you cant name a single socialist country. You obviously have no clue what socialism even IS. The Cold War was fought between western capitalists and state-capitalist "communists" (USSR). It had absolutely nothing to do with socialism or actual communism.
@franciscolpo1 greeces 2 main political parties are the ND (capitalist) and the PASOK (social democrats). social democrats arent socialists. theyre essentially just progressives. portugals two main historical leftist parties were the marxist-leninists (not even close to socialism) and the social democrats (again, not socialist). same thing with spain (social democrats). do you know what socialism is, or do you think anything thats not american republicanism is socialism like most retards?
These countries arent socialist but the the countries that i said adopt some socialist Ideas.
I know what is socialism.
And i dont think what isnt american republican is socialist .
I simply dont agree with, because the people that work harder should compensated by their hard work and the people that doesnt work should receive nothing.
Socialism is the best thing that exists on earth but it is impossible to do it because no one is equal.
@franciscolpo1 The world is more complicated than work or dont work. How about all of the people who work longer, harder jobs than the rich people, but still barely scrape by? And correction, in socialism, everyone is equal, as they should be. Which contrasts capitalism and american "equality". In those, youre only as equal as the amount of money in your bank. Capitalism doesnt work.
@franciscolpo1 they werent actually socialist. Calling yourself something doesnt make you that. Yes, capitalism is better than stalinism/leninism/maoism. They are all now experiencing massive poverty issues (as they were before).
What you fail to realise is by putting equality before individual freedom, you will destroy any chance of having either but if you protect individual freedom, economic and political, you will end up with great measure of both freedom and equality.
The World Socialist Website, featuring news and analysis six days a week, is the only publication fighting to build an international movement of working people against cuts, attacks on democratic rights and war. In 2008, trillions of dollars of public funds were given to the speculators who caused the economic crisis. Now that money is being paid back through cuts to education, healthcare and every area of social spending. Capitalism has failed, we need to build a new socialist movement!
@MrWhosaywhat The jobs created by capitalism don't help the worker at all. They are designed for the capitalists to make more profits while the worker remains poor. The only reason they are poor is because of capitalism. There is no reason for Africa to be poor with all its resources but its products are stolen by capitalists and turned into huge profits. Where you think Coca Cola gets its ingridients from? and why are all of the countries which the capitalists have huge investments in so poor?
@Iraqisocialist The USSR had a ton of resorces but it didnt use the resorces to its advantage because of bad managment. The USSR sold oil to western europe in exchange for grain even though they had great land. This shows the ineficiency of big government.
@Iraqisocialist The USSR had a ton of resorces but it didnt use the resorces to its advantage because of bad managment. The USSR sold oil to western europe in exchange for grain even though they had great land. This shows the ineficiency of big government. Corporations know what to do with these kinds of things because they actually earn somthings from it, unlike the soviet union where everyone was "equal" the corporations had a initiative to do somthing with resorces.
@MrWhosaywhat those kids got the wealth of their nation stolen by a few and those few are outsiders and they install puppets. The Oil in Iraq is stolen from the people and a few elites from the west benefit from it.
@Iraqisocialist Iraq didnt get its oil stolen from it, the corporations bought the land and had a contract. Also if the corporations didnt go to Iraq for oil who would use the land?
The majority of people in the US are against the socialistic/communistic ideals. What are you going to do if the majority doesn't agree? Force them with violence? Revolution? You socialists do understand that in order to get what you want, their will be massive bloodshed because many people will resist this idea.
One of the scenes i like is in the batman movie. They catch joker and then joker talks to batman. there he says the words that i find to be true about capitalism. watch it and you will understand what i mean!
Hey comrade great videos i agree with you almost 100% ( i am roman catholic)..anyway i want to ask do you believe in armed revolution to overthrow the capitalist governments? and should a socialist country have a one-party rule or many parties? i am south asian revolutionary i am following CHE GUEVARA.
Great video. All of your videos are amazing. My only complaint for this one is that the yellow writing is sometimes hard to see. But besides that, awesome sauce. I can tell that you are very passionate. Hopefully, there will be a new video in the near future :) lol
Thanks! I've been stuck with that damn scrolling text for 2 years now. I know it's impossible to read. I've been meaning to simply provide a list of the military incursions in the video's description field. Maybe I'll finally just do that. And, yes, I'm gearing up for a new video as we speak. Thanks again!
curse on it. I spit on this video. You blame it on others. If socialism is so better why socialist states don't unite and create super weapons to protect their freedom and remove embargo. US is embarging countries that affect it, OIL countries or similar where they have interests what about the other world. Yeah Soviet Union collapsed but Russia is 50 years ahead in physics and weaponry US can suck their balls Why children can't buy shoes in Russia ? Satanic World Conspiracy. USSR had no shoes:)
For once I'm actually not trolling, I'm genuinely annoyed because part 1 was pretty good and I was hoping this series of videos could actually be recommended to people who truly don't know what socialism is and therefor haven't really considered it before, that would be useful. Part 2 was a bit preachy and I thought "he'll probably lose some listeners here, but it's not too bad", then this part... one huge guilt trip. People don't like feeling guilty and it will make them dimiss you.
@TornadoCreator Oh no! People finally realize what their new car means to the rest of the world! But Arondeus is the bad guy because their feelings got hurt and now they feel guilty. Poor them. How inconsiderate. After all, it is so much worse to feel guilty than to be dying of starvation. Well Arondeus, I think you should apologize. What were you thinking, trying to make people see what the real world is like? Tsk tsk tsk
I see you're quick to be the hypocrite. You dare to act high and mighty, as though you're some special philanthropist yet here you are, pissing about on YouTube. How could you, that computer your using could be sold to buy food for starving people in Africa. How can you live with yourself?... See? Rediculous argument isn't it, now FUCK OFF. You're 18 years old for fuck sake, come back when you've experienced the world before you comment on what the "real world" is like, child.
@TornadoCreator I like how you really don't know anything about me except my age and you judge me. You don't know what I do for a living or what kind of computer I have and how long I have had it for. You call be a child for being 18 when you are the one being childish. And if we are going to continue saying that I am a child, then maybe others should be more ashamed. A "child" can see what is wrong with the world while others can't.
I don't need to know anything more. At 18 and living in USA, you likely either live with your parents and if you have a job, you've had it only a few months, or you're a student at which point your a cushy first-year with barely a care in the world, I know, I've been there, done that. You have these noble ideas about the world but its all fantasy. It's like the spoiled kids who talk about welfare on YT from the comfort of their parents massive house. They lack perspective.
OK, you've lost me now. Sorry, but I'm already a socialist but even I'm sickened by this video. Sure, I get it, the affluent countries waste while other countries have too little but how fucking dare you... playing the pathetic little guilt trip as though its going to make a difference, and honestly how many McDonalds pictures are you going to resort to using. Grow the fuck up. When people like Bill Gates and Paris Hilton live reasonable lifestyles then I will start feeling guilty, NOT BEFORE!
3:14 there's a picture of a kid eating with no less than FIVE McDonalds logos on screen, and that's only one example this video is full of them, are you fucking blind?
I never said he put the fucking logo on the food, I said he put the pictures in the video you fucking idiot. How moronic do you have to be to not have figured that out? He was using pictures of McDonalds to make his point. You said you didn't see any, because apparently, you're either blind or impossibly fucking stupid.
@TornadoCreator if he was using the food to make his point what is the big deal? And so what if he used MacDonalds would you be equally offended if he used Coca-cola or BP? and whats with the insults? i think you need to calm the fuck down
The insults are because you are a lying sleaze. You outright lied. When I called you on it you then played stupid and tried to reduce my arguments to absurdities, knowingly misrepresenting me. Then after I dare to find you insulting and treat you with contempt, you act as though I'm being unreasonable. You'd make a great politician. The reason I criticised the use of the McD's pictures was that they're used as an obvious guilt trip, and yes it would be equally pathetic if he used Coke.
@TornadoCreator to be honest i acctually didint see the McDonalds logos all over the place i was to distracted by the kids. Im not trying to be a sleeze i am just defending myself sorry if i offended you i guess.
Well, fair enough then. In that case I'll retract what I said and we can chalk this up to a miscomunication. I don't mean to be offensive, but I find this video very insulting. As a socialist I feel it's my duty to do my best to help society to prosper because I think it's the right thing to do, not because I feel guilty for eating a cheeseburger. I find the guilt trip tactics tasteless and feel that this series of videos could have convinced more people to think liberal without them.
@TornadoCreator retract everything you said but me beign a good plitician right? lol and i also agree with you to a certain extent i think i also might be socialist not sure yet though
Tornadocreator is an admitted troll. (Probably explains his youtube channel name). There was one picture of people eating at a McDonald's, and that picture certainly was plastered with McDonald's logo. Probably says more about corporate brainwashing (marketing), than it does about the video. But still, I'd ignore him.
OK, sure maybe they're not all McDonalds, but the burgers, drivethru and kids clearly make people think of McDonalds, which is your scapegoat and symbol for capitalism. You're trying to make us feel guilty for daring to eat food, when there are millionairs out there who could end poverty tomorrow, why not blame them.
You seem to be trying to make a connection between americans having an ample food supply and africans starving. The U.S has tons of farmland and with that it can provide food to its citizens at a very cheap price. With that said i do not understand the correlation between starving africans and our abundant food supply. Feel free to explain it.
@snarfels U.S don't have all the food to provides it's citizens just like it doesn't have enough oil. Africa is a land of fresh resources. Arab Country have almost all the oil reserve of the world, it they weren't being steal they would probably be the top richest country of the world which is the complete opposite. Same with Africans country, recently even China had pose it's hand on Africans countries. They are some good movies like Blood Diamond where multinational steal diamonds from African
@draksenzakura You're kind of right, in a sense. America does have enough oil for itself (time being atleast), but due to certain ideological movements we choose to buy ours elsewhere. Same idea for food, we pay farmers not to farm. But you say we steal oil and food? Please elaborate because atleast the way you stated it i would spend all day picking apart your rediculous arguement. Explain to me how the U.S is "stealing" oil and food from poorer nations.
@snarfels I wonder why U.S has gone to Iraq (4th worldwide oil reserve) and Afghanistan. I wonder why there are now in Lybia (9th oil reserve), while they can help palestinian in Israel or people's of Bahrein. OHH but wait what's right in between Afghan and Iraq...Ohh yeah there #1 enemy Iran (3 oil reserve). And what are the top 2 Saudi Arabia and Canada their best friends.... But its all a coincidence yeah...
@snarfels And why are African countries the poorest country of the world while they have a lot of resources and oil reserve with the arabs country who are living in poor condition. Ahh yeahh right it is there Leaders that are dump and don't want there country to grow up. Yeah there is certainly not any kind of corruption going on here between U.S and those country nor they are stealing resources with China who is starting to put there hand on it. Its all coincidence!
@snarfels Maybe you should just read some books. And after that you will explain me why those countries are always the poorest one and always involving in wars. While they are the ones with the richest resources. Africa is not poor it is impoverished.
@draksenzakura Nice, off topic rant. If you want to debate about why certain countries around the world are poor then just say so. But when we buy oil and people agree to sell it to us, then we aren't stealing. If im not mistaken most of the profits from these oil sales do go to saudi princes or arab elites, so don't blame trade blame their system of government. And maybe you are the one who should read a book, because most legitimate economists do not think resources are what determines cont...
national wealth. Just take japan for example. And the continent of africa is generally very poor due to the fact that it has no system of government to protect people's rights or facilitate trade.
Any trade we do with poorer nations always benefits them. If an individual chooses to work making $1 a day making nike shoes, it is because they have no better options.
And please don't go on about those useless wars, i'm not for them either.
@snarfels Its not off topic at all its exactly the capitalist system who perpetuate this situation. Your so called african government is with the U.S and doesn't care for the peoples who are suffering. All the money goes to the African Leaders and they give nothing to the population because that's not what the U.S want. They don't want to have democracy on these countries. You should read has I said. Here's a great man speaking /watch?v=TcX23O7RqQQ and /watch?v=7PdJ9TAdTdA
@draksenzakura No sir, your engaged in a huge fallacy. Capitalism has done no wrong. You equate a system of government (representative government) with capitalism. Corrupt officials may or may not do corrupt things, such as abusing a mixed system which is by no means near 100% capitalism, to gain power. To say the human instinct for achieving power is only prevalent with capitalism is almost silly, so we can assume corruption can exist under any form of government. But...
@draksenzakura Ohh yeah im not replying anymore Im not here to teach... If you can't understand that capitalism is the reason of all our problem then don't. From our environmental problems to our social one it's the same thing. Mass consumption, mass media propaganda, private corporations owning all the goods. 1% of the population own 40% on the world resources and 50%+ of the population live with less than 2$. You know what are human rights ?
@draksenzakura Humans needs to survive by eating and living healthy. While I find funny that we have to spend some toilet paper to buy those things. So what about the 50%+ population and those who can't afford buying food and medicine ? Ohh yeah they die of course they have to pay for their rights what a great system we have! Instead of having something like Resource based economy. Damnit I love Capitalism and it's hierarchy, the people at the bottom and the elite above.
@draksenzakura I wonder how much money did they gain with funding both sides of every war you know ? Like the vietnam war that started with the golf of tokin incident (which was totally invented by media) or with the 911 twin towers? I love capitalism. Unfortunately, the system is based on many thing that are non-sense like infinite resources and everyone who is a bit intelligent knows that our planter have Finite resources. :) bye
Don't try to dodge this, sending me a link of noam chomsky isn't an answer. When somoene says they can't give you a single example to illustrate their point it becomes painfully obvious how very little they know.
I would be interested to hear your point of view on how capitalism has specifically hurt a country in africa. I can say workers being paid more than they would have otherwise been paid helps them, and their economy as a whole. You obviously believe my way of thinking is misguided. Please give a specific country in africa and the details of how they were taken advantage of by capitalism. If it's so wildy prevalent then it shouldn't be a problem.
@snarfels The rich gets richer and the poor poorer. We steal from Africa and make them poorer we invade their country with our multinational/corporations and exploit them and there resources. We chose some leaders and help them get the control of the country and make an arrangement with them. Im not sure that Africa will be in this situation if we didn't live in our luxury lifestyle and if we didn't have to consume like pigs to support the capitalist system.
@TornadoCreator Oh come on. like 7% of people around the planet have like 90% of the wealth, and you know what, if you have internet, a computer and know who Bill Gates is, then you are part of that small fraction!Don't you know you're part of the problem as well. You are being childish, saying: i'm only top 4% of the planet's wealth, and it disgusts me that you ask of me to share and 1% isn't sharing. Grow up.
You think I'm rich because I have internet access. You're joking right? My income is less than £3800 PER YEAR!!! I'm 25 and forced to live with my parents because I can't afford a place of my own, all because the ecconomy crashed. Every penny I have goes to pay what little I can contribute towards the bills. The average rent for a 1 bedroom here apartment here is £250 a month, (I have maybe a little over £300 a month comming in) and you think I'm in the top 7% of the world. Fuck you.
Oh, and you don't need to be rich to know who Bill Gates is, you just need to spend three minutes on fucking google you stupid cunt. Not every intelligent person had the good fortune to be born to privilaged familes like I gather you where after all you have internet and a computer so clearly you're a fucking millionair right because we all know computers are hundreds of thousands of £'s right?
I'm going to insert myself into this conversation, if you don't mind too much.
How would we achieve something in between?
How would you get the multinational corporations to share the profits with the workers fairly?
How do you get individual billionaires to stop buying politicians?
Multi-billionaire investors have convinced themselves that they own the means of production. How would you cut them out of the equation without a fight?
No, not easy. And that's the problem. In the current system, multi-billion dollar corporations & individuals have all of the money and all of the power. Meanwhile, the workers of the world are literally dying of hunger and/or war.
So. What do we do about it?
My point is this. We are one species. Whatever system we use, it MUST strive for sustainable healthy development for ALL of Humanity.
In 200 years or more, capitalism has achieved the opposite. So, now what?
@Freez57fr No we know for a fact that we are there for oil. But simply saying that we did went to war for not being capitalist is bullshit, and neither him nor you have presented plausible evidence.

CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Forcing people to contribute is fascism, no matter how you slice it. Tell me, who is to say what surplus is? Cause who is to say what the perfect amount of money is? The surplus should go to me, the worker, cause I earned it, not have it stolen from me. Your pure democracy was a nice idea that I once believed but it won't work. Too many people have diverse ideas. You cannot force everyone to agree on something, so your idea of democracy will fail.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront ....And your right, in a socialist society I don't give, I am forced to give, and or stolen from by a strong central government. You know, I support the Occupy protests since week 1, and I always worried about you all demanding a Marxist solution. Don't worry, I won't associate others with your economicly suicidal ideas. But if it turn out a vast majority are like you, I will no longer support you.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Are you kidding me? People are taxed on their incomes to pay for the lazy and irresponsiable people of society, aka, those who are on government Welfare. Our tax dollars don't go to the rich, the go to the government who spends them on social programs you dunce! A socialist soceity is about Eqaul work for Eqaul pay correct? Also, Socialism cannot have a free market. It is stricly against Marxist code. European Socialism is just Big Gov. Capitalism BTW.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Incoherent? How so? Your dismissing my arguements without providing any facts, which would make you just like every other marxist I argue with. You do have a chocie, you can choice to work, or choose not to. I used the prehistoric society as an example because that's the way every society is. Why should the working have to pay for the lazy and irresponsialbe? Also, your plutocrats theroy, HAHAHA!!! Ok, if a small group of people controls the work place, name them. All of them.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront ...continued. Yes, work or starve. That's life. Even in Prehistoric societies that was the case. Hunt/Contribute, or starve. You realize and an employee you can quit whenever you like right? Therefore the choice eliminates it being called "Slave Labor". Slaves had no choice, employees do. If I earn my money through my own labor, and I don't want to use it in a socialist way, then that's my choice, cause I earned it.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Capitalism is what made people like Gates, Jobs, Zuckerberg, and your idol Michael Moore rich. Don't forget, they were once ordinary people like us. Also, how much taxes do you think Bill Gates pays? See our government says the rich make most of the profits but neglect to tell us where most of our taxes come from, which is the rich and corporations. Your really going to demonize Bill for only giving what you see as a small amount? Is anything at all not enough?
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Slave labor? Haha I heard this arguement before and my response will always be the same. People get up in the morning and go to their jobs on their own free wills, no one is holding a gun to their heads forcing them to. Sure they do it mostly to make money and sustian a lifestyle but that's life. I suppose you aren't aware of the Bill and Melinda Gates fund are you? Sure, Bill could do that. But it's his money, he earned it honestly, so who are you to tell him what to do with it
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront A mechanic should only be hired, otherwise how would you know he's good at his job? Tell me, should Doctors and Surgeons be elected to? Bill Gates changed that world, without him we wouldn't be arguing right now. Capitalism hoards? I though I was the one missing the point.....Capitalism encourages competition.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront All those possesions you speak of, where do they come from huh? Oh yeah that's right, they came from other people who earned them. If I give you $10, it's free money to you but it really isn't free, I had to lose that $10 in order for you to have that $10. Socialist countries have not been this way in the past, and I doubt it will be in the furture. Socialism is nothing more than a utopic society.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Human progress was brought about what it is todau cause of Capitalism. I'm not going to say people were motivated to improve conditions souly cause of money, cause that part isn't true. Some people due it to prove something. But most of society gets out of bed in the morning with an incentive to make money and sustain a good stable lifestyle.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Sorry, ugnore the first part of my first comment. It was wrong of me to assume that kind of thing without knowing you. Allow me to rephrase. You argue that Capitalism is collectivism and Socialism is Indivdualism. And that in my opinion is wrong. Capitalism encourages economic freedom and competition. Do you think these big corporations want competition? No, so it isn't capitalism. Socialism is collectivism because it's about robinhood.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront That long statement shows that you must have never held a job in the private sector. I mean, I have yet to enter the work force. But honestly, do you really want your mechanic to be elected and not be hired based on experience? Also, you are aware that the boss o f company or small business does a lot of work right? Like the Police Cheif, he doesn't get a lot of action on the street but he handles all the boring stuff. And people like Bill Gates are rich because the earned it.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront One persons pocket? That's never been the way it goes in business. The employee split the profits. Simple as that. I'm also getting the feeling that you still don't understand what true Capitalism is.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront What bullcrap. If you and me own a company, and Gosh I sure hope me and other people never own a company publicly, then it's PUBLIC porperty. Kind of hard to have provate ownership of something that's public no? Monarchies and dictatorships? Your too funny, Capitalism encourages competition through economic freedom. What you see today isn't Capitalism if there is a lack of competition. You think people like Monsanto want competition? No, therefore it isn't Capitalism.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago

CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Funny how you knock on me for calling marxist leaders fascist dictators like they are, but you act like it's nothing to knock on Capitalism by claiming that fascism is right-wing. So your only defenese is to claim that history is made up by the "evil" right-wingers, tisk tisk tisk, I expected more from you. So what, I'm supposed to just prentend there was no violence or killing? Also Marxism is fascist since stealing peoples money and property requires toltaltarian powers
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront My Ignorance betrays me? Ok Darth Vader, 30 millions might be exaggerated or rounded up but what then, do you have a better explination as to what happened to those people? Or is Stalin a hero for suppresing us "evil" capitalists. And as for Moa vs Chiang Kai Shek, do you really think he had a choice? If you learned history you'd see that as a military leader he was fighteing a two-sided war. A war to fend off the invading Japanese, and the violent Communists.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront Only after WWII? So Stalin was a hero for killing an estimated 30 Million people? Going down as the biggest mass murderer in history? And even outside Russia, what about China and Moa Zadong? Or in Romania with Nicolae Ceauşesa? Your forgetting that the Communist Manifesto itself even says to overthrow the current government and install a dictator.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@OccupationFront The people own the means? Oh I see, you meant as in that People are the Government crap. Please, even in Communist Russia there was still a ruling class. "The control of resources, and the means of production ( factories, real estate...) in the hands of the few, to the detriment of the many." So in other words you just admitted that a marxist society is not only fascist, but, controlled by a single few.
So much for a peoples society.

alepiresjr 3 months ago
Is Socialism better than Capitalism? Absolutely, but its utopic. The chaces of it working are pretty small. The life in Soviet Russia during the socialist period was hard, but the advantage was that everyone had the necessary, without having more than they really needed. Also, this life style is way better than the one that the poor, and poorest of all the poors have. However, the implantation of this would be almost impossible
alepiresjr 3 months ago
@alepiresjr I agree with you. I'm a Capitalist myself and I do think Socialism on paper works great. But it working to it's full potential stays on paper. It's nearly impossible to get it to work realistically. In communist Russia people were starving. The powerful still ruled over the comoners. So I'll stick with what realistically works best.

I like how according to you, I'm "stupid" automatically because I'm not a marxist like you. So let's hear your Michael Moore kool-aid Capitalism slander, so I can get on with my arguement.
CyberTechWolf 3 months ago
@CyberTechWolf Fascism is right-wing, first and foremost and anti-communist and anti-socialism. Fascism is ultra-nationalism which is antithetical to what socialism advocates which is: group-decision making that removes supranatural instances like religion, ethnicity, race, culture, class and education. Fascism clearly cannot exist in a civilization that removes those things when making decisions.
SocialDissimulation 3 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Fascism is right-wing? According to who? And what qaulifies them to make that kind of judgement. Also, fascism would be Left-Wing if anything. A marxist society cannot guarentee complete theft of the peoples money and property without toltaltarian powers. Marxism tends to have a controlled economy, that's fascism no matter how you slice it. So spare me the right-wing card.
CyberTechWolf 3 months ago
@CyberTechWolf Militarism, anti-homosexuality, family values, nationalism, are not left wing. "Fascism was founded during World War I by Italian national syndicalists who mixed left-wing and right-wing political views, fascism moved to the right in the early 1920s. Left includes social liberals, social democrats, socialists, communists and some anarchists. The Right includes conservatives, libertarians, plutocrats, reactionaries, capitalists, monarchists and fascists." - Wikipedia.
SocialDissimulation 3 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Well ok then, I'm still not sure what qaulifies that person to say it but whatever. Looks like you left out some details on your statement. Yes, Mussolini was the original fascist, and from what I rememebr he was a hardcore leftist. Violent too, he was even killed by his own people.
CyberTechWolf 3 months ago
@CyberTechW The way to figure out 'left' from 'right' is typically done through the collective vs. the individual. The original fascists did indeed have a mixed-bag, but fascism -did- move toward the right. Look at it this way: If only the top 1% have the capacity to partake in a free-market, while the rest is completely directed, then does that make that market capitalist? Absolutely not. So if only a certain group takes part in socialist policies -- it can't be called socialist. Antithetical.
SocialDissimulation 2 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Look, left, right, up, or down I really don't care. Either way marxist leaders have been fascist. Your correct, only the 1% taking part in the market isn't capitalism, but corporatism. Something you forget is that the Communist Manifesto calls for installing a dictator. Rememebr that early on in Communist Russia that people were starving. Also if what you want is European Socialism, know that it isn't socialism, but Big Government Capitalism.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@CyberTechWolf Do you know who the dictator is supposed to be? The people. The people are supposed to be the dictatorship. And that is exactly right, it's never been a true socialist leader, because a group of people have never run their own nation. Fascists have been -- in their own accord -- right-wing despots. The only reason people ever call into question whether or not it's left is because it is falsely associated with revolution.
SocialDissimulation 2 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Was Stalin right wing? Mao Zadong? More of this people stuff, please, Lenin and Staling were indeed one man dictators. Perhaps the misinterupted it, nevertheless this is what a dictator is. You can argue that its right wing all you want, but that doesn't help your case at all against Capitalism. Please explain to me how a Free Market system which encourages competition is bad? Hmm?
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Ok look, let me ask you this. Who decides whats right and whats left? If I'm a Democrat and I'm a Capitalist where do I go? How about Libertarians? Cause I can tell you, as one, I have right-wing beliefs but we are nor Left or Right. So who are you or I to decide what's left and what's right? If I'm a Capitalist does that automatically make me fascist? I guess it was wrong of me to assume. But please answer me.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@CyberTechWolf Stalin - Right Wing. Lenin - Right Wing. Mao - Right Wing. Mao was iconoclastic and nationalistic -- both tenets are antithetical to socialism and left-wing methodology since the collective is absolute. Economics has -very- little to do with the morality of left and right. This is like when The Democratic Republic of Korea calls itself a Democratic Republic. That you stamp a description of yourself on a movement does not make it true.
SocialDissimulation 2 months ago
@SocialDissimulation Hm, come to think of it, I thought you said Fascism was a mix of both right and left wing. But never mind this arguement. You still have yet to ste how it is that Marxism is better than Capitalism.
CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@CyberTechWolf It started out that way, but gravitated toward the right in the 1920s. And I have never said that I was a Marxist, Marx said he wasn't a Marxist, why would I?

CyberTechWolf 2 months ago
@CyberTechWolf I am not a Marxist. - Karl Marx , the ideologies attributed to him were additions and propaganda. A lot of his message was corrupted by brands that made the claim but exhibited none of the attributes. I would consider myself a socialist to an extent. CyberTechWolf 2 months ago

TheChileanMapuche 4 months ago
@TheChileanMapuche On the contrary, in a true catpitalist society without government intervention, the poor are more advantaged than the rich. Cause the poor have what the rich don't, a true sense of value for money. The poor learn to live within thier means, and when entering the workforce can simply ask for a lower wage cause they know how to live with little money. And when they become experinced enough or save enough, then they climb the corprate ladder.......
CyberTechWolf 4 months ago
@TheChileanMapuche ........continued, Unemployment happens because smaller buisinesses cannot thrive due to a strong practice of corpratism. One other thing. In regaurds to education, yes, it is rather sad that our society actually believe something as worhtless as a college degree actually is, is the key to success and that without one you will have no successful future. When thats not true. Well nice talking to ya!
CyberTechWolf 4 months ago
@CyberTechWolf well thank you for that comment, but if equality can be acheived then the result can be better because then poverty can truly be eliminated. Because poverty is a comparison between the different class groups so once that is eliminated many other social problems can be fixed since all people are at an equal level. I still believe that humans are capable of more trust, the only thing holding people back from embracing socialism is an ability to simply understand one another.
TheChileanMapuche 4 months ago
@TheChileanMapuche Well I don't mean to sound synical but if your looking at Socialism to obtain equality then your looking into it for all the wrong reasons. First off, the Rich will simply pay off the Government to leave thier money alone. Second, if not by the amount of wealth you have, the people will judge you based on your political power, race, skin color, height, weight, ect. People will always find a way to seperate themselves. Poverty will always exist, even in Marxism.

Socialism could work, and socialism should work. My only problem is that people (excuse my lack of sophisticated grammar) are just outright "bad." They would exploit the system as much as possible to do as little as possible and so on as you probably have heard... perhaps you can enlighten me some?
capitals4life1 6 months ago
@capitals4life1 arondeus has already explained that he doesn't believe people are greedy by nature. Somehow he has come to the conclusion that the human greed you have experienced in your lifetime is a direct byproduct of the capitalist system.
snarfels 6 months ago
@snarfels I definitely disagree with you. If we weren't greedy by nature, then any form of government would work. Socialism sounds great, but not until we get into the aspects of the whole ideal is when it dysfunctional.

XD look at this socialist are trying blame the capitalist for what commies did on cold war.
Dont be sad africa could be better but if it wasnt the dictators and the interests of both countries africa
1989 do you know why USA invaded Panama you dumbfuck
jeez at least try to tell the truth
And 1 more thing Socialism is a complete lie because i live on socialist country and i see people receiving support of the state having a good life when the people that works hard dont receive money
franciscolpo1 7 months ago
@franciscolpo1 I bet you cant name a single socialist country. You obviously have no clue what socialism even IS. The Cold War was fought between western capitalists and state-capitalist "communists" (USSR). It had absolutely nothing to do with socialism or actual communism.
LordAcheron92 6 months ago
@LordAcheron92 Greece , Portugal ( former goverment ) , Spain (former government)
these are socialist countries
franciscolpo1 6 months ago
@franciscolpo1 greeces 2 main political parties are the ND (capitalist) and the PASOK (social democrats). social democrats arent socialists. theyre essentially just progressives. portugals two main historical leftist parties were the marxist-leninists (not even close to socialism) and the social democrats (again, not socialist). same thing with spain (social democrats). do you know what socialism is, or do you think anything thats not american republicanism is socialism like most retards?
LordAcheron92 6 months ago
@LordAcheron92 You are right.
These countries arent socialist but the the countries that i said adopt some socialist Ideas.
I know what is socialism.
And i dont think what isnt american republican is socialist .
I simply dont agree with, because the people that work harder should compensated by their hard work and the people that doesnt work should receive nothing.
Socialism is the best thing that exists on earth but it is impossible to do it because no one is equal.
franciscolpo1 6 months ago
@franciscolpo1 The world is more complicated than work or dont work. How about all of the people who work longer, harder jobs than the rich people, but still barely scrape by? And correction, in socialism, everyone is equal, as they should be. Which contrasts capitalism and american "equality". In those, youre only as equal as the amount of money in your bank. Capitalism doesnt work.
LordAcheron92 6 months ago
@LordAcheron92 Capitalism works.
Look to russia and ex-countries of USSR (That Adopted many socialist Ideals)
In the Past all people where poor and their life conditions werent the best conditions.
In the present these countries are experiencing high growth and their population have better life conditions.
If these countries had a goverment that had ties with socialism why USSR had fallen?
If Capitalism doesnt work why these countries are having better results than before?
franciscolpo1 6 months ago
@franciscolpo1 they werent actually socialist. Calling yourself something doesnt make you that. Yes, capitalism is better than stalinism/leninism/maoism. They are all now experiencing massive poverty issues (as they were before).
LordAcheron92 6 months ago
What you fail to realise is by putting equality before individual freedom, you will destroy any chance of having either but if you protect individual freedom, economic and political, you will end up with great measure of both freedom and equality.
TheColin808 7 months ago
The World Socialist Website, featuring news and analysis six days a week, is the only publication fighting to build an international movement of working people against cuts, attacks on democratic rights and war. In 2008, trillions of dollars of public funds were given to the speculators who caused the economic crisis. Now that money is being paid back through cuts to education, healthcare and every area of social spending. Capitalism has failed, we need to build a new socialist movement!

If kids in 3rd world contries did not work they would starve, capitalism creates jobs which helps out people with no jobs
MrWhosaywhat 8 months ago
@MrWhosaywhat The jobs created by capitalism don't help the worker at all. They are designed for the capitalists to make more profits while the worker remains poor. The only reason they are poor is because of capitalism. There is no reason for Africa to be poor with all its resources but its products are stolen by capitalists and turned into huge profits. Where you think Coca Cola gets its ingridients from? and why are all of the countries which the capitalists have huge investments in so poor?

For once I'm actually not trolling, I'm genuinely annoyed because part 1 was pretty good and I was hoping this series of videos could actually be recommended to people who truly don't know what socialism is and therefor haven't really considered it before, that would be useful. Part 2 was a bit preachy and I thought "he'll probably lose some listeners here, but it's not too bad", then this part... one huge guilt trip. People don't like feeling guilty and it will make them dimiss you.

How could you, that computer your using could be sold to buy food for starving people in Africa. How can you live with yourself?... See? Rediculous argument isn't it, now FUCK OFF. You're 18 years old for fuck sake, come back when you've experienced the world before you comment on what the "real world" is like, child.
TornadoCreator 8 months ago
@TornadoCreator I like how you really don't know anything about me except my age and you judge me. You don't know what I do for a living or what kind of computer I have and how long I have had it for. You call be a child for being 18 when you are the one being childish. And if we are going to continue saying that I am a child, then maybe others should be more ashamed. A "child" can see what is wrong with the world while others can't.
HelpTheIgnorant 8 months ago
@HelpTheIgnorant

Dixafix 8 months ago
@Dixafix
TornadoCreator 8 months ago
@TornadoCreator to be honest i acctually didint see the McDonalds logos all over the place i was to distracted by the kids. Im not trying to be a sleeze i am just defending myself sorry if i offended you i guess.
Dixafix 8 months ago
@Dixafix

You seem to be trying to make a connection between americans having an ample food supply and africans starving. The U.S has tons of farmland and with that it can provide food to its citizens at a very cheap price. With that said i do not understand the correlation between starving africans and our abundant food supply. Feel free to explain it.
snarfels 4 months ago
@snarfels U.S don't have all the food to provides it's citizens just like it doesn't have enough oil. Africa is a land of fresh resources. Arab Country have almost all the oil reserve of the world, it they weren't being steal they would probably be the top richest country of the world which is the complete opposite. Same with Africans country, recently even China had pose it's hand on Africans countries. They are some good movies like Blood Diamond where multinational steal diamonds from African
draksenzakura 3 months ago
@draksenzakura You're kind of right, in a sense. America does have enough oil for itself (time being atleast), but due to certain ideological movements we choose to buy ours elsewhere. Same idea for food, we pay farmers not to farm. But you say we steal oil and food? Please elaborate because atleast the way you stated it i would spend all day picking apart your rediculous arguement. Explain to me how the U.S is "stealing" oil and food from poorer nations.

@draksenzakura Nice, off topic rant. If you want to debate about why certain countries around the world are poor then just say so. national wealth. Just take japan for example. And the continent of africa is generally very poor due to the fact that it has no system of government to protect people's rights or facilitate trade.
Any trade we do with poorer nations always benefits them. If an individual chooses to work making $1 a day making nike shoes, it is because they have no better options.

You know what are human rights ?
draksenzakura 3 months ago
@draksenzakura Humans needs to survive by eating and living healthy. While I find funny that we have to spend some toilet paper to buy those things. So what about the 50%+ population and those who can't afford buying food and medicine ? Ohh yeah they die of course they have to pay for their rights what a great system we have! Instead of having something like Resource based economy. Damnit I love Capitalism and it's hierarchy, the people at the bottom and the elite above.

@federerbestcIass
Arondeus 9 months ago
@Arondeus Really good questions....not easy, I guess...
federerbestcIass 9 months ago
@federerbestcIass
