an ideal idea and perhaps useful but i think not a seroius enough product that could make a decent profit. stuff liek that will just end up pieling up in a baby care wearhouse or something liek that and they'll will be bankrupt within two years i think
I agree with many of your comments about this being a clever product, in fact its a Clevamama product. This is a rip off of the Clevamama towel. I bought the clevamama towel in 2005 so what new about this product....Nothing.....I cant stand when people go on the den and say they are the original of a certain product it drives me mad. This is just another rip off product
They're DRAGONS - if they're asking 40% of your company, you know they see huge potential. NEVER give 40% of your company to one source for a small amount of cash when there's a possibility for branding multiple products. These women did quite well.
' their business turned over £500,000 in 2009, with one in every 20 new parents in Britain currently owning one of the towels.' In your greedy, arrogant faces, dragons. fair play to them for taking the plunge and goin it alone..
agreed with the ladies, if the dragons weren't prepared to negotiate then I would tell them to bog off as well. I think its arrogance to not give any leeway. In addition they had secured retail channels and so as long as its selling well they could eventually add £5 to the wholesale price which would have made quite a difference to the projections.
My mates worked with these women, they won a award for business, they had to make a short video for them. Screw the dragons. These guys done damn well.
They were absolutely right not to take either offer. Cuddledry is now a market leading, award winning company projected to turnover more than £600k this year. Not bad for a couple of friends with a great idea!
Save your money. Buy a piece of string and add 2 clips or clothes pins at each end, clip them to a towel over your neck and wa-la. So many insignificant ideas on the british dragons den.
Well done ladies :)

Why do they even need investors? It's a small family run business and for the time being thats where it should stay.
