Tai Chi Chang Dao (Long form with a regular size sabre)

I dont get it. I got confused because there are so many argues. Is this a chang dao? I thought its supposed to look like an odachi.

@sungyoproh This form is called "Chang Dao" Because its a long form (with a regular dao-size)

Chang means: Long

If you want to see a form with the long/big dao, search for "da dao"

The Chinese calls it "Da Dao" which means Big Sabre.

What your holding is not a changdao or a Da Doa (im not sure if you're refering to the sword your holding or the actual swords) if you are refering to a chang dao then yea Akaki101 is correct thats not a chang dao and chang dao is different from a Dadao just so you know bro.

And its not the sword that is long, but the form. Hence Chang = Long. A "long" sabre is, referred to as big sabre = Da dao. ;-)

I smell homemade form and not much formal training. Seek out a trained Teacher. By training alone you will develop and reinforce bad habits.

You are right though about, not much training. At that time when i made this video, i had just recently (in few days, at a seminar) learned this form.

I never did fancy/took weapons training serious, and after stopping with yang tai chi, i have forgotten the forms i had learned...
