The issue is not Sit in Traffic vs. Surf Trestles. The road will not solve our traffic problems. The Orange County Transportation Agency has stated this multiple times. They are already planning to widen the 5 (real traffic improvements) whether the toll road is built or not. This is because they know it is essentially a glorified access road for thousands of new homes.
The toll road will NOT help traffic on the 5. We should not destroy state parks for unnecessary roads!
what are you talking about almost all surfers are green and pick up trash, have you not seen all the green stuff they make for surfing now they have biodegradable wax, biodegradable surf boards, and wetsuits made out of natural materials.

Your video is pointless upon the fact that the toll road extension won't touch the beach. I know using your head is hard, but try this next time you're out there. Try to imagine where the extension will come from. Will it come from the sky and and enter through the beach>? No. Will it dig underground and pop up through the beach? No. Will it come out from the ocean and go through the beach? No. It will go through a small stretch of land that nobody uses and connect to the 5. That's it, genius.
You guy's need to involve the people that care about the indigenous plants, animals, and migrating birds.
I love to surf Trestles and have surfed there since the 80's. Just using the angle of "ruining a perfect surf break" is not gonna cut it.
Those in charge have links to big, big money to develop homes up there, thats why the road is going in, see Bolsa Chica and what happened there. Big money took 30 years but still pulled it off.
