sweet chevelle, idk if you have seen those VHS to DVD recorder's?!?!? but basically you can record the vid to the DVD, insert your DVD into your DVD-R drive and save the content...from there you can use windows movie maker to edit it, or do minor quality adjustments...i used to use that method for directv's TiVo live-cast....hope this helps...

get you a capture card. look for them on ebay. you can plug your vcr into your computer with it and record whats your playing on your vcr
also works with gaming consoles and dvd players
