  • Zelda's voice gives me chills, plus she's hot, SO YEAH!

  • Zelda's voice gives me orgasms. and I'm a straight female.

  • it is hylian, a made up language

  • My ears get a high just listening to the begining.

  • LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE LIKE

  • Actually the Hylian language used is "Ancient Hylian" if I'm not wrong.

    :P

  • Does anyone else think the beginning sounds like Mario Galaxy ? O_o

  • @TheKryce It does, Mahito Yokota did a lot of work on Skyward Sword and the Galaxy games.

  • @lemurdragonsan That explains everything ! Thank you sir.

  • @randomgirl5000 No, it's hylian.

  • I'm actually singing the part with zelda's voice with my guitar (longer than the game version) :)

  • Zelda sings really good! :D

  • I feel nostalgia when I hear this song

  • Lolled, you know... if ya turn with the words Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, you can get: Twilight Sword or Skyward Princess :P

  • Best playlist EVAR!!!!

  • gives me chills.

  • I am moving to Japan where dreams come true

  • @pinkpearlmermaid1000 Fuck yeah.... *_*

  • Sound like a combination of Super Mario Galaxy and Final Fantasy III's intro

  • Zelda is speaking Japanese... I speak and understand Japanese

  • @Imthedgrayman Think you could translate for us less-fortunate people? :D

  • @Imthedgrayman Could you translate for us please?

  • Super Zelda Galaxy: Skyward Sword

  • 0:33 Since I like to sing along with Zelda I typed it out, in what it sounded like to me. Oh randomgirl5000 I don't think that she is singing in Japanese. Here it is Right at 0:33 Beeeeeeeeennnn dashebu nobeeee junntuuu deee shuuuutuuuu

  • WELCOME TO THE GALAXY!!

  • The Legend of Zelda never had voice acting over the 25 years it has existed. Adding voice acting now would do nothing but harm.

  • When I first started this game and this music started playing, I knew I was in for an amazing adventure

  • @3minuteAdventures me too, my friend :D

  • See, if they did voice acting and actually had the characters speaking in Hylian like this, I would be happy.

    Everyone except Link though :P

  • Zelda's singing voice is so peaceful. It makes me cry.She could stop a bloody war with people dieing slow and painfully just by singing. The war would stop and never start agian and everyone that died would come back to life.

  • This reminds me of the Harry Potter Yule Ball music...

  • The opening part is Crimson Loftwing. It took me way too long to realize that. :/

  • ah i wish zelda would sing longer Dx

  • 0:32 is my favorite part!

  • Isn't Zelda singing in Japanese? O_o

  • @randomgirl5000 nope.

  • @randomgirl5000 she is singing in Hylian languaje

  • @randomgirl5000 nope. gibberish, similar to midna.

  • @YoshiTheAsian It's actually Hylian.

  • @YoshiTheAsian No meh. It really is, lol.

  • @TheDivineShiver lol, i said 'meh' as in 'alright'

  • @YoshiTheAsian Oh, I didn't know. I'm sorry.

  • @randomgirl5000 Its actually ancient hylian lol.

  • @randomgirl5000 Nope, Hylian.

  • @gmaster991 What they dont tell you is that Hylian is secretly the same damn thing as japanese ;D

  • @dav666777 except in twilight princess where the hylian in that translates to english ^^

  • @randomgirl5000

    Nope, Hylian.

  • @randomgirl5000 Nope, it's a made-up language, but since the game was created in Japan it has a very Japanese sound to it.

  • @randomgirl5000 I think she is singing in ther own language

  • @randomgirl5000 Isn't she singing in Hylian?

  • @randomgirl5000 I don't think so, nothing she said made any sense to me. :/

  • @YuTe3712 That is what japanese is all about

  • @LGDXJawsdakiller HAHA no it isn't. lol

  • @randomgirl5000 Hyrulian. :)

  • @BreezeOfTehBread You mean HYLIAN.

  • @randomgirl5000 Google translater thinks its German. (Its not).

    Its........HRYULIAN!

  • @BreezeOfTehBread Hyrule didn't exist during SS. It's HYLIAN.

  • @randomgirl5000 Nope. It's Hylian.

  • @randomgirl5000 NOPE IT'S AMERICAN! XD Jks

  • @randomgirl5000 Yes she is :)

  • @randomgirl5000 I think that they are actually just hylian. My friend who speaks japanese says that they are not japanese. However, here are the lyrics in hylian: Ballad of the goddess: Nay, da shobu Nobe jundu Te shutu (the rest is from when Fi sings this in the lighthouse) Kewenu sale. Nay, da shobu Nobe mesa Te shutu Tobe mesa pachu!
  • @XtermN8RZ correct it is hylilian.

  • @randomgirl5000

    Not japanese, maybe Hylian?

  • @randomgirl5000 No, its Hylian

  • @LinkLoverRinku and hylian is japanese

  • @darklink2nd No, Hylian is a made up language.

  • @darklink2nd Not exactly..

  • @randomgirl5000

My sister says it's not japanese OR hylian, because the hylian language faded away when they moved to skyloft and now they're speaking "skyloftian."

She speaks japanese very well, and says that those are just random syllables.

  • @BloodstarSpyro88 So as this game is the origin of Link and the Master Sword, the Hylians have to be really freaking old...

  • @BloodstarSpyro88 maybe it´s hylian but from ancient times before skyloft and before the actual skyloftians developed their language

  • @laSSog25

    Hrm... you're probably right!

  • @randomgirl5000 No, it's Hylian xD

  • 1 person didn't find their bird.

  • cool how Hylian is a real language, like in Skyrim.

  • This was composed by Hajime Wakai, I believe. It has part of the main theme which he wrote

  • @Guitarist500 In that case, didn't Koji Kondo technically write this, as well, considering the main theme is largely a reversed arrangement of a song he wrote?

  • @MagmarFire Well, no because Koji Kondo didn't write it at all. It may be backwards but it's still written by Hajime Wakai

  • @Guitarist500 With no credit to Kondo there regardless? That makes little sense to me, but...it's copyright, suppose. I'm no law student.

  • I am pretty sure they composed the music using orchestral and digital composition, but I think a good amount of the tracks used in the game are constructed using digital sampling. You can tell how some of them use sampling because they will have minor differences depending on what is happening- when you are in a dive on your bird, I think the music turns more fast-paced, when you are near enemies, the music becomes more intense, and so on. I forget how much they use dynamic music in SS, though.

  • I am VERY certain that Nintendo used a real orchestra to make the music for this game. It sounds so real.

  • @wxyzabcd They definitely did for some pieces. The majority, though, are not orchestral.

  • @wxyzabcd Yeah, they did. It's fully orchestrated.

  • See my response below.

  • As for "Hyrulean," as stated, the term simply applies to anyone and anything from Hyrule (used similarly to Italian, German, etc.). The people in Skyward Sword are not Hyrulean. The people in Wind Waker are not Hyrulean. That's... about it, yeah :P

  • Not to interrupt the ongoing semantic war, but here's the definition of Hylians vs. humans. Basically Hylians are a sub-breed of humans, who are believed to be closer to the Goddess (Hylia, hence, Hylians), However, they are still considered a race of humankind. They share approximately the same genes, as evidenced by the fact that as the story progresses chronologically, pure Hylians basically die out. The distinguishing factor between Hylians and "regular" humans are the pointed ears.

  • 0:31 XD Zelda's pretty voice

  • Is she singing japanese, or jiberish?

  • @digimaster107

i think its Hylians Hyrule language

  • this song is very beautiful, when zelda sings and the orchestra kicks in it kinda makes me wanna cry cuz its so pretty

  • this song gave me groose bumps

  • Zelda's singing...ohh, goosebumps all over...so beautiful. <3

  • Super Mario Galaxy much??? I LOVE IT!!!

  • Escucho esta cancion y me traumo... es por la parte del juego en la que voy... quizas me identifique demasiado con Link xD

  • i have zelda's voice <3 i sing the same as her

  • Welcome to the Space Comet Observatory...

    oh wait, wrong game...

  • i'll have to reverse this song at some point...

  • here's the lyrics:

    Kaze ga yoseta kotoba ni

    Oyoida kokoro

    Kumo ga hakobu ashita ni

Hazunda koe... wait... no their not :D

  • @aabb3ElOriginal *They're

  • @aabb3ElOriginal *They're

  • @aabb3ElOriginal What lyrics are THIS?

  • @XxChirikoxX "Suteki da ne"

    From final fantasy X

    Both songs kinda sound alike

  • *Cries*

  • Anybody know what 0:34 - 0:45 means?

  • @SuperLuigiYoshi I think in the game it said something like that part means, " Oh Youth, guided by the servant of the goddess...Unite Earth and Sky..."

  • Darnit! Must go back and read DragoonReview's and EpicMac22's comments.

Also, I agree that this would be an idea to take for voice acting, but only if Nintendo wants to go that route. Their games, especially this one, are incredible anyways.

  • SUPER MARIO GALAXY MUSIC IS BACK!!!!!

    *Nerdgasum*

  • @RedSkyGod999 Holy crap you're right o-o

  • @RedSkyGod999 Welcome Back to the Galaxy!

  • So uh.... where'd you get this?

  • Timmyturnersdad in the tags :D

  • @lavendice this is timmytunersdads second channel.

  • Better Lyrics : En Dashidu... No Bei... Dun Doom.. Den... Shu tuu...

  • Nehm, dashavu nohbay junedu, deh shutu...

  • Ah, the hylian language. Complete and utter gibberish. XD

  • @Zephyr16 it's japanese bro

  • @AkimboNinjaPWN No, they speak Hylian, most believe.

However, there IS Japanese in the Lanayru Mining Facility.

  • @MetallicPoison when she's singing, those are japanese words

  • @AkimboNinjaPWN ...no its gibberish. I understand Japanese...they're pieces of words from the japanese language (pronunciations mostly) but it doesn't make any sense. -___-

  • @Zephyr16 wait, then what did the japanese think when they played this?

  • @AkimboNinjaPWN ...that it was gibberish. =P Gibberish is gibberish, it doesn't matter what language its derived from.

  • I only got this to say.

    Zeruda...

    *sunglasses*

    ..no Densetsu.

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • EVERYONE! GRAB YOUR LOFTWINGS! LET'S GO FLYING AND KICK GHRIAHIM'S ASS! >:D

  • @NinetendoStudios ALRIGHT!

  • does anyone know what zelda's saying in english?

  • yogscast intro music MUCH!

  • @CraftedEvil more like super mario

  • @simmysteve1292 have u ever heard the yogscast intro?

  • The beginning sounds like a mix of Super Mario Galaxy and the movie Up

  • @tiger7210 actually it's whatever language they speak (skyloftian? o.o) i believe, and the translated part is on the screen when Zelda sings it one time :D

  • @EpicMac22 It's called hylian.

  • @mattias313 I didn't know if it would be Hylian cause they're up in Skyloft. Technically, none of them even knew about Hyrule at the time.

  • @EpicMac22 PROTIP: Hylian =/= Hyrulian. ;) Hylian is the name for the species of people (Link, Zelda, etc.), much like our "human"; it's also the name of the language spoken by these people (and many others, including Gorons, Zora, etc.). Hyrulian is the demonym for things / creatures / people within Hyrule. So, the language can be an old form of Hylian (and, based on the writings in the game, it is) without there needing to be any influence from Hyrule. :)

  • @kaoskastle uh, no. They are actually called humans throughout this game and others by gorons, Ghiraham, etc. Hylians are the people of hyrule.

As to what their language is called...isn't "hylian language" a fandom term for it? Nintendo never called it anything from what I remember.

  • @Zephyr16 True on all accounts! I'm pretty sure "Hylian", though, is an alternate term (much like how we tend to use "humans" and "homo sapien", maybe?). I mean... isn't Hyrulian technically the demonym for people in Hyrule?

Although, again, as you mentioned, these are pretty much all fan terms anyway, so... I don't really know why we're arguing this, haha.

  • @kaoskastle ...being Hylian means you hail from Hyrule...but they're still human. Its like me saying I'm canadian because i'm from canada....

I've ever seen in game NPCs refer to themselves as Hyrulian...Hylian I did see in OoT (the guy on the roof in castle town who explains why hylians have long ears).

  • @Zephyr16 *never

  • @Zephyr16 But... if that guy in OoT is explaining why Hylians have long ears, then "Hylian" can't simply be a demonym for anyone from Hyrule, considering that not everyone from Hyrule has long ears (Gorons, etc.). Therefore, "Hyrulian" (which, as you said, is probably never used officially) is possibly a more correct term. Unless, of course, I'm misunderstanding what you're saying? :P

  • @Zephyr16 Hey! So, not sure if you care or anything :P, but I managed to locate an in-game usage of the word "Hyrulean" (with an "e", not an "i"). From The Wind Waker, Zelda's statue in the Nintendo Gallery: "Princess Zelda is the legitimate heir to the Hyrulean royal family. She is actually the pirate Tetra."

So... yeah! Looks like TWW just showed us up, haha.

  • @kaoskastle tl;dr

    Hylian = Ethnicity/Race

    Hyrulian = Nationality

  • @Valoe7 Yes! This! Thank you; I can tend to be a little verbose sometimes, haha.

  • @kaoskastle It's all good, it just doesn't appeal to people with short attention spans. :D

  • @kaoskastle Close, by Hylian is a national label. Not a species. They are the people who live in Hyrule, which is just a country on their world. One of the neighboring kingdoms is Calatia.

  • @heymrk let's all finally settle this mess

Kokiri Forest is in Hyrule, yes? In OoT, the Deku Tree Sprout says "[...]you are not a Kokiri!

You are actually a Hylian!". Implying that "Hylian" is the name of the species, not merely a demonym for Hyrule. HOWEVER, there's an item called the "Hylian Shield". Unless this is supposed to indicate that it's for use only by Hylians (or that it's made by Hylians), then it means that it's a shield made in Hyrule.

Therefore, "Hylian" = species AND demonym?

  • @kaoskastle Gorons are hyrulians

  • @kaoskastle But in this game all the others species refer to Link and Zelda as humans.

  • @jorgeigp In this game, yeah, totally. "Hylian" and (to a greater extent) "Hyrulean" are pretty uncommon terms within the series, but... I was just trying to demonstrate that they're still used, y'know?

  • Holy crap, this music was amazing. Nearly brought a tear to my eye at just the beginning of the game!

  • What's the lyrics? It's obviously in Japanese, could someone translate it?

  • 0:35 If this is Zelda's voice I want her so speak constantly in the next game! This voice is soooooooooo CUUUUUTTTTTEEE!!!! xD

  • Just One Question...

WHERE DID YOU GET THE SOUNDTRACK?!?! DX

  • @lilho1992 Comes with the game special edition.

  • @echoespk The CD that comes with Skyward Sword (both the regular AND special editions) consists entirely of pieces from the 25th anniversary concerts. The only piece from the game's soundtrack on the CD is "Ballad of the Goddess."

I'd imagine he ripped the soundtrack directly from the game, as the full soundtrack has not been released by Nintendo.

  • Sounds like Myamoto wants to take some instruments from Mario Galaxy for this game , doesn't it?

  • im fainting... i just LOVE that soundtrack already, its the 3rd track ;)

  • Irresistibly reminds me of "Kaze No Ne" from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. No bad thng, either.

  • They finally put singing. Next thing you know, full voice acting would be implemented!

  • is this sung in japanese or hylian?

  • @MrToad712 its Skyloftian because Japanese nor Hylian Existed yet

  • @TylerNocks So they really just made a totally new language for 1 game? Epic..

  • The beginning reminds me of the movie Up.

  • @100percentgamer Reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle too for some reason.

  • @MisterDrBob I know right? I love Howel;s Moving Castle. Have u seen Tales from Earthsea? Its really good.

  • @777Rowen I have not.
