During this time you first control Tifa as party leader, but soon switch to Barrett before switching right back to Tifa, then you switch to having Cid as party leader (which is when this guy decided to go get Vincent) before Cloud is reintroduced.

I've always gotten Vincent the first time I'm in the Shinra Manor, so I never knew what it was like getting him with Cid or someone else as party leader. Thanks for posting this! Though...honestly...when I saw Vincent do the whole "swirl cape around himself" motion,I thought he was gonna become some sortta red line & appear @ the bottom of the spiral stairs or somethin instead of just makin an imitation of Dracula & saying "Lucrecia..."! XD Shows how much of Advent Children and D.o.C. I've seen!

Yeah it's a hack for the PC version called the FF7 Reunion patch. It turns all main characters and most NPCs into their in-battle sprites.

Lucrecia and Hojo are Sephiroth's parents, she turn to him for support and then agreed to conceive a child for the experiment. She didn't go with Vincent because of her guilt of killing his father, Grimoire. While she was pregnant(after the injection of Jenova cells) she began to have nightmares about all the atrocities Sephiroth would commit. She became suicidal but could not die because of the cells.

Vincent's father that i spoke about was a research partner with Lucrecia before Hojo even came around, that's probably where some of the people that write fanfics start putting out ideas that Lucrecia is Vincent's mom but no it was a professional relationship (for once), Sephiroth was conceived by Lucrecia with Hojo, she was in on the injecting of Jenova cells for the research, she regretted it later when she saw the outcome.

lots of people apparently don't get this. Lucrecia was around when Gast and Hojo worked together on experiments, Gast left later to be killed on Hojo's orders. Hojo was with Lucrecia and Vincent loved her but he didn't get anything going, in fact Vincent's father was actually closer to her in that way than him. Hojo wound up experimenting on Vincent near death, Hojo implanted Chaos within him and put the claw on him, that was the extent of his experiments, chaos causes vincents shapeshift limits

Vincent is Sephiroth's father Hojo is his step father I think if you put it in this terminalogy. Over the years Vincent was with Lucrecia they of course fell in love and possibly produced Sephiroth because she be nuts to have sex to an ld geezer like Hojo. Hojo was the one who put the Jenova cells in Lucrecia's body so Sephiroth could be born a Super Soldier that is possibly why they consider in the FFVII team in Square Enix to be Seph is Hojo's son or in actuality Step father

Of course there wouldn't be any overly sexual themes in FF7, but Vincent was sent to Lucrecia to protect her. (Fanfictions often mention that the president was angry at Vincent for not doing something in a previous mission. *I'd suggest reading "Shattered Ice"*) So, the president already had knowledge of the experiments. Hojo probably didn't have pure sperm (experiments), so they chose Vincent....

You have to get the code for the safe in the mansion, I can't remember the code exactly, but in the entrance room you go to the left and there is a piece of paper with hints that you can use, or you can just look it up on the internet, whatver suits you best.

When you open the safe you'll have to vs a boss. Defeat the boss and you'll get the Odin summon and "Key to the basement"

Now you can get into the room.

It's called the ruinion patch, it makes all npc and chracthers look like that, notice that is how they look in battle scenes.

it's a great patch, but unfortunatly you need the pc version of the game. I think it also works with the ultima edition for pc.

There's a point early into the second disc when Cloud gets lost, so Tifa leads the party for the time being. Then Cloud is found but he's a Mako-poisoned wreck, and Tifa chooses to stay by his side until he recovers, thus Cid replaces her as leader. Then you gotta do stuff related to the Huge Materia. Then you get Cloud back. [/brief summary]

Normally, you wake up Vincent earlier in the game. But, it's possible to wait and do it later. In this case, I did it while Cid was leading the party, which is why Cid (and not Cloud) is talking to Vincent here.
